Review summary

Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Considering 594 reviews, most reviewers were let down by their experience overall. Many customers found the products to be of extremely poor quality, often made from cheap, synthetic materials that did not resemble the advertised images. Reviewers frequently mentioned that items were badly made, incorrectly sized, and looked nothing like the photos on the website. The return policy and refund process were a significant source of frustration, with many discovering that returns had to be sent to an overseas location, incurring high costs. Customers reported being offered small partial refunds or vouchers instead of full refunds, which made the return process challenging. Some people also felt that the website's presentation suggested a UK-based company, while products were shipped from China.

Fingers crossed I have not made another…

Fingers crossed I have not made another mistake with an online purchase. Having once been scammed in the past I check and double check before ordering now. Having severe arthritis I ordered some orthopaedic sandals from what seems to be a reputable London firm stating ‘delivery by Royal Mail’, however 24 hrs later I have just received an email regarding my purchase and saying it is being processed and I will be advised later of shipping, last stage being by Evri !!. I now strongly suspect the sandals will be a very cheap product from China.
Now having found all these negative reviews I will contact my credit card company for advice on stopping the transaction getting a charge back.

Awful

Awful. Do not buy anything from this sham company. Despite proclaiming an easy returns process, it does not exist. The goods were very poor quality. Avoid!

Shocking service from the off

Shocking service from the off - I placed one order for three items to find that two orders had been created for some of the items in the actual order i required . Contacting the co was woeful , automated e mails. Could not cancel an order even within 24 hrs of placing it , the tracking is shocking and the time it's taking to arrive is well over a week , I have repeatedly requested a cancelation but get an automated e mail that is of no way related to my request . The telephone number just rings out , no v mail , no contact at all -

I have been scammed

I have been scammed. The item that arrived was of cheap cotton, was far too large. And return? Via China apparently. No London store. Heavy customs charge or another cheap frock at no cost or 15% off another purchase! Stay away. Does not even warrant one star

I wish I’d have read the reviews before…

I wish I’d have read the reviews before placing an order. Shocking product, poorly made, nothing like the picture on the website, supposed to be linen and these trousers are 100% polyester.
It’s not worth the hassle of attempting to return them as they’ve come from China and I would probably have to pay a fortune to return them anyway. I have been well and truly ripped off - this is false advertising and this site should be shut down.

I cannot express how horrendous the clothes are. Ordered a top which looked nice on the website that makes it look like they are in London...they are in China. Very very cheap material, horrendously poor material, the poorest quality stitching, have to pay expensive postage to return. Absolute con. I wasnt going to waste even more money on this crap top by sending it back & didnt want to insult anyone by taking to charity shop so burnt it with the garden waste. Do NOT buy from the company.

Sizing terrible and awful quality

Sizing terrible - I ordered two dresses in the same size. They took over a week to arrive then found one too big, one too small. I complained and eventually I was offered 40% refund which I accepted as the tracked return requirements (to China) of the company meant it would cost £30 to return the items. So I have in reality paid £40 for dresses I cannot wear which clearly are made cheaply in China. The quality of the dresses is poor and I have learned a bitter lesson - DO NOT ORDER FROM WILSON AND CARTER.

Faulty Goods, totally misleading

I purchased what I thought was a pair of orthopaedic shoes which looked fabulous online. I thought this was a British company based in London. I read that the returns policy was easy if necessary. When the shoes arrived, one of the straps around the ankle was larger than on the other shoe and non adjustable, so the shoe kept slipping off. This is obviously faulty so I have now tried to return them. Firstly I have been offered 10% discount, then 20% discount, both of which I have rejected. Now I have been told that the shoes would need to be returned abroad which would be very expensive to me. APPALLING SERVICE AND GOODS NOT TO MENTION TOTALLY MISLEADING WEBSITE.
DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY.

Absolutely terrible experience

Absolutely terrible experience. The items received are substandard, the quality is awful and look nothing like the pictures. And whats even worse is the refund process. Its not quick, free or easy! You have to pay for shipping costs, which is more than the items. WARNING: BUY FROM THIS WEBSITE AT YOUR OWN RISK!!. I only wish I had read the reviews before I did. I would not have touched them with a barge pole! Still trying to battle the refund. I will go through my bank to try and recuperate my losses! Very very disappointing experience.

DO NOT BUY!

DO NOT BUY!

My mum purchased a pair of shoes stating these was originally £100
Down to £34.
I had a bad feeling about this but my mom being in her 60’s carried on.
They came no box just in a bag. cheaper than sold at a carboot market awful quality.

Then when returning the product nothing but hassle they ask me to keep the product and have something else free of charge off their website or I can keep the product and have 30% refund.

This company is one massive scam and needs shutting down.

Please don’t make the same mistake as us and the rest of the reviews on here!

BUYER BEWARE…

BUYER BEWARE OF THIS WEBSITE An accidentally pressed button resulted in a one track process that not even an attempted cancellation within two minutes (20.20- 20.22) could stop. This company will force onto you goods that you never even meant to order (see above). They will then use every trick in the book - and more - to try to steamroller you into keeping the goods, goods that you never meant to order but that arrive nevertheless totally unsolicited and unwanted. A request for courier collection / pre-paid address label falls on deaf ears. The name Wilson & Carter London is deliberately designed to mislead into a false sense of security regarding returns. Wilson & Carter are nothing to do with London. The official company details are: Company Name: Wei E-Commerce LLC Business Address is 1021 E Lincolnway, 9800, Cheyenne, WY 82001, Laramie, US with returns routed to China. There is no mention of China returns on the website. You are told only when you still insist on returning the goods after every other attempt to get you to keep them has failed - their final blow to get you to keep - and pay - for unsolicited goods. The matter is now with Trading Standards and in the chargeback process with my credit card company to whom they will now have to answer directly to explain themselves. This company is a scam which needs to be shut down and its owners / directors fined heavily, if not imprisoned.

Please do not purchase from this fake…

Please do not purchase from this fake company. Ordered items which looked a great bargain but they are of extremely poor quality , received late and don't match what I ordered. I stress again the material is really bad and not even fit to pass into charity shop. They will be binned. Wish I had read reviews first but I was desparate for cool trousers and was careless not looking more carefully first. When the weather was so hot, the London based web page threw me with hype about easy returns. I am on pension and I can't afford to return to China and from what I have gathered price is more expensive to return than price of the garments. Out of pocket over £70.00. This is absolutely disgraceful and the company should be banned for advertising. I'm so very upset.

Misleading product photos

Misleading product photos, very slow delivery and no customer service

I ordered the Clementine dress for Royal Ascot, assuming that a brand presented as “Wilson and Carter London” would have a reasonably quick UK delivery service.

Instead, my order remained stuck on “processing” for over three weeks, with no meaningful tracking updates. I contacted customer service several times to ask when it would arrive and later requested a refund, but I received no reply at all.

By the time the dress finally arrived, I had already had to buy something else to wear.

Unfortunately, the dress itself looked nothing like the advertised photos. The colour, fabric and overall fit were completely different from what was shown on the model. I am a slim build and chose the dress expecting a similar look, but it was clearly not the same quality or design as advertised. It was not something I would feel comfortable wearing out.

The branding gives the impression of a polished, London-based fashion company, but my experience was extremely disappointing: poor communication, a long wait, and a product that did not match the listing.

Please be cautious before ordering, especially if you need an outfit for a specific event or date.

I bought 2 T shirts with a bra inset

I bought 2 T shirts with a bra inset. Not cheap £30 for the two.
Absolute rubbish. The material is cheap polyester, the bottom of the shirts are not finished properly and have a wonky edge, not seamed.
They took an age to be delivered and came from China .....!!
If you're looking for a product like this, save your money and shop with a reputable UK company. Definitely not with these cowboys.
