Chippenham branch.

One to avoid.
Did a wheel alignment with them on January. It is worth mentioned that prior to that car never had an issue with uneven tyre wear or pulling in any direction.
It was more for the sake of doing one as it had never been done as far as I.m aware.
I was told caster was not doable, and that the rear didn.t allow for camber.
9 months later I did my MOT and set of brand new tyres, less than 10miles old, is smooth on the inside shoulder on the fronts.

Pay cheap, get a shoddy result.

Ended up going to a specialist in Swindon that upon showing me the figures, before and after adjustment it was a shock seeing so much red.
Low and behold they also did caster, and they also adjusted camber at the rear. Apparently you can. Car drives so differently and feels way more stable

If I could I would be asking for my money back from this place.
Absolute scam and very poor result. They actually made the car worse!!!, as the previous tyres that got swapped just a few months before were even in wear all over.

Avoid!!!
Makes you wonder what else they are doing so poorly.

If I had read the reviews beforehand then possibly would have looked elsewhere.
Fortunately for me my situation did not allow me the time to do this, as had a appointment in Bath and a puncture, as Wiltshire tyres was the closest place pulled in an explained my dilemma and subsequently left some 55 minutes after being booked in.
Eight days later suffered another such puncture and decided to renew my tyres as would need to as tread was about 2 mm, contacted Wiltshire tyres and they gave me a price that was comparable with other outlets and could be fitted next day. Received call next day to say tyres had arrived , took car in and on my way home just over one hour later.
Cannot fault the customer service I have received.

Absolute joke of a company.
Not from the area & got a puncture where the tyre went flat immediately right outside of their premises.
2 young children in tow but they point blankly refused to help. Said it was 1.30 & they close at 2 so nothing they could do.
Ended up with a long wait for breakdown!
Don’t know why I’m surprised by there glib attitude, there reviews on here speak volumes about the garage!!

Please don’t go to the Chippenham Branch for anything more technical than a puncture repair.

Had my car in for a new clutch and it turned into a complete nightmare costing double the original quote, taking weeks to complete and resulting in me having to sell the car.

My second attempt at buying tires in two years, as a local and having service of 22 years thought I might be worthy of service, pretty much palmed off, they’re coming tomorrow we will call. Hmm

Should have known better by the mechanic in the workshop swearing and what seemed to be flying spanner’s, fcuk,,g crossover jag headers are s11t, I hope the jag survived unscathed.

Hope you can see the light to either improve the workplace, treatment of staff and customers or management as you have a problem conducting business, I’m not seeing gas monkey garage making an investment any time soon, although if you pay peanuts

Since previous manager and Luke the machanic left the customer service is very poor. When you call your answered by a dumb incompetent person.
Booked my van in for MOT when I got there they told me that they couldn't do it even though it had been tested the 2 years previous.

Most definitely in two minds while writing this review. I had done a check over of my Vehicle and diagnosed a few issues; most of which I was capable of doing but admittedly didn’t really want to do. I took my car in on Monday for a Brake & Exhaust Check; although I had a diagnosed a Exhaust Leak I was told the exhaust was fine and has no issues. Had the car MOT’d today and it received a Advisory for ‘Exhaust has minor leak of exhaust gases Rear’. So this was missed on the check; even though I asked them to check for this exact fault.

Then we get onto the Rear Brakes.. Hand Brake was at the top of its travel and I’d only had time to check the NSR Shoes so asked if they could check the brakes as well. Was informed that the shoes on the OSR required replacing, as well as the OSR Wheel Bearing. Completed the OSR Wheel Bearing myself but was running short on time around work to complete the Brake Shoe Replacement. Went in on Thursday, and was extremely grateful that they replaced these for me.

Today on its MOT - ‘Parking Brake lever has excessive movement indicating incorrect adjustment’ & ‘Brakes imbalanced across an axle rear’ - Both of which are directly linked to the work completed at this Garage.

Called them this morning and asked to speak to the Mechanic. Explained that the Vehicle had Failed on the work they completed the day prior to dropping it off for its MOT and the fact the Hand brake was still at the top of its travel when collected and that I had tested it after collection and it rolled backwards with the handbrake on; Rear shoes do need time to bed in and gave the garage the benefit of the doubt. Plus I was due to drop it off at a different garage the next day for its MOT. I asked for him to explain what work he had done; so I’m not going in blind trying to fix the work they did incorrectly. I was repeatedly told that the work completed was correct and no explanation given for the MOT failure. I was then told to bring it in so they could have a look. Funnily enough, they had the car on the Ramp for a good 30 Minutes and this time to handbrake was not at the top of its travel when returned. I was told they re-did the adjustment and that it’s common to need to re-adjust again after shoes are fitted. Which is correct, however this is due to the shoe lining wearing over time and the shoes needing to bed in. This has nothing to do with the fact the handbrake was adjusted incorrectly and the fact that there was a imbalance of the axle adjustment. The fact is they completed the job incorrectly - The MOT failure states that exactly.

I was impressed with there MOT Tech, he found the time to test the Brakes on the Roller for me after they have redone the work today to confirm the work had been completed correctly this time and that it was at readings for a MOT Pass. I personally wouldn’t recommend them, or return there in the future. They returned my car to me with major defects following the work they completed and caused 2 x Major Defects on a MOT Failure.

Not offered a apology, just excuses. Wasn’t offered a refund..

Thankfully, after their second attempt it did pass the MOT however had a break squeal, even when not breaking everyday since 🤦🏻‍♀️

Melksham Branch. I’ve taken 3 cars in and I’ve been most pleased with the service provided. Helen is always most welcoming and the technicians do an excellent job. Great price and content customer.

Took car in as there was excessive road noise at around 45mph and especially when cruising at 70mph which made long journeys unpleasant. A thorough examination of tyre conditions, tracking and wheel alignment was carried out as well as exploring possible wheel bearing wear.
Comprehensive feedback was provided on the findings and various suggestions given on what aspects to continue to monitor.
I left the premises feeling that a thorough and professional approach had been taken.

Damaged my car causing £360 paint repair. Denied doing it stating that they reviewed CCTV and the damage wasn't there when it left the workshop. Refused to let me see it. Then changed their mind, after a week, and said damage was old as metal had discoloured. Refused any responsibility.

Wiltshire tyres changed my rear brakes and a few other bits. A few days later was driving to pick my children up from school and the brakes failed! Absolutely disgusting garage DO NOT USE. NO APOLOGY or anything.

Be very cautions with their mobile fitting service!

We had ordered four tyres for our SUV to be fitted by their mobile fitter. However, they fitted a different make to those that I had ordered, which online are cheaper than the ordered ones, are lower quality than the ones we ordered and are a make that Wiltshire Tyres do not appear to stock!

So please check when they fit them they are the ones you ordered as either Wiltshire Tyres or their fitters are up to no good!

I use Wiltshire tyres for not only my wheels when they need replacing but also recently had an MOT with them too. Service is very good. Always met by pleasant and friendly staff. Prices are fair and reasonable also

Quick convenient and clear on price. Not a problem like I normally get with mechanics from protyre

Two sets of front tyres plus wheel alignment 12 months ago. 6000 miles later I need two new tyres and a wheel alignment. For the past 10 years I've needed new tyres every 25000 miles. After going to Wiltshire tyres it's now 6000 an average of 107 miles per week. When I approached them the response was a generic I should have checked the pressure more often and air expands. If its a manufacturer issue take it up with them. You choose the tyre we just supply and fit it. Very irresponsible service and will never go back. No system of complaint and now blocked from there website and FB page for daring to complain.

I booked a mobile fitter for 2 new rear tyres via black circles. This company came and the fitter damaged both wheels leaving me needing both of them resprayed. I asked where the existing damage report was and he proceeded to be very cagey and was noting it up as I went round the damage after. Fitter denied damaging despite me having images of the wheels before he came and CCTV showing his time at my property. The fitter only had 2 areas of damaged noted on the report however there were 3 areas damaged, I am in a disputing them all with blackcircles currently but would advise not using these guys.

Friday Saturday and Monday to get a tyre price , each time promised a call back yet none received.

Now bought tyre else where

Phoned them on Friday as my tyre had been slashed and completely deflated. They were really helpful and recommended a more efficient tyre which was still compliant with my car. It was an 'all-in' cost and the service that was provided both on the phone and by Gary the fitter was excellent. It took away a lot of stress and worry from what was initially a very stressful experience.

A fantastic company. I've had tyres fitted by Wiltshire tyres on a number of occasions over the years and as always they offer a first rate, efficient service. Staff are very professional and I have always come away satisfied. The workshop is clean and tidy unlike other tyre fitting outfits.
Highly recommend them if you are in the Melksham area of Wiltshire. Thanks for the great service down the years guys.
