Pre Orders have not shipped and it has been 14 months.

I placed two preorders in February 2025. Initially there were some updates about issues with quality and that the preorders would be out in 6 months. It is now April 24, 2026 (14 months later) and I have no idea if I am going to get my preorders. I have reached out to Windeler by email and got no response. I posted on both their IG and FB site and no answer and I DM'd them on IG. On their FB page I wrote a scathing review and I see they took the comment down instead of offering help. In the past I have done several orders with Windeler but after they way they have treated me on these orders they have lost me as a customer. There is zero excuse for not answering emails or DM's or updating clients on a regular basis. Word to the wise do not do pre orders. You will be last in line for service because they already have your money.

I am going to check in the US to see if there is any remedy to this situation. Places like the US Postal Service, Consumer Protection Bureau or US Customs to see if they can help. There are a lot of other customers who have had the same experience.

Review update - Windeler back on track

This is an update on a previous review. Back in December, I had an issue with the product and importantly, a lack of contact from the company - in fact I gave up. I'm pleased to report that although it took quite a time, that Windeler had gone through their complaints to address them retrospectively. It was clear that there was genuine concern and regret and now that the company was no longer overwhelmed with orders was busy belatedly putting things right. Without quibble, they sent out a new boxed Monoscale (and additional free lanyard) without asking for the old one in return. I'm delighted that the company is back to delivering service that matches the quality of its products!

I got my utility knife… it’s so nice! Took a little longer than expected but worth the wait. Windeler let me know they’ve had manufacturing issues and wanted to solve them before sending kit out. Fair enough! I know you’re a small company (flying solo?) and super busy - I love your products; I’m rooting for you! Keep going

Great knives

Just received my utility knife, can’t fault it. Remember that Windeler is a one man band and orders and communication can be slow at times.

I recognise that communication has been slower than it should be at times, and I appreciate your patience. I’ve taken steps to improve this, and things are now moving in a much better direction.

For clarity, in-stock items are typically dispatched the same day or the following day. Pre-order items do take longer, but I’m also working on improving both timelines and communication around these.

Poor service but this may actually be improving now

I initially got a quick delivery of two orders. The quality was OK, but the magnetic attachments quickly scratched the side of the knife. But it was still usable, so I pre-ordered some more attachments which were in development, back in January 2025. Since then I have had no answer to my various emails and have received no updates about when I might expect to receive the goods I have paid for. Avoid this company!

EDIT After posting this review I finally received an update on my pre-ordered items, along with an offer of a free gift of their new utility knife attachment for my troubles. This arrived quickly, was of good quality and has already been a useful addition to my stack. I'm still not holding my breath for the arrival of my items, but now feel a bit more optimistic that they will actually arrive at some point.

DO NOT BUY FROM WINDELER, THEY WILL SCAM YOU, TAKE YOUR MONEY AND RUN!

I couldn't give a 0 star or else I would have! I ordered the titanium pliers years ago, they took an age to arrive, and when they did, they were cheap and broke on the first use.
I got in contact with Windeler, they apologised and offered a replacement of the next upgraded version. That was over a year ago now and I haven't been able to get a reply out of them since.

DO NOT BUY FROM WINDELER, THEY WILL SCAM YOU, TAKE YOUR MONEY AND RUN!

Avoid - possible scam.

They’ll wow you with flashy videos of interesting designs whilst giving the impression of imminent development, take your money and then fail to deliver or reply to emails.

Have used this company a couple of times first time I received what I ordered within a week & I asked a question which was promptly replied to, great.
Next occasion was for the pre sell which I ordered & paid for in December 24 (£100+) not received or question answered still waiting end of September 25.
Shame of it is I will think twice about using a micro business online in the future when it was my intention to support such businesses in the first place.
If I ever receive this order & it is the quality they claim I will amend this review but I’m not holding my breath.

Terrible quality and customer service a lack of.

Purchased,a knife,two laynard beads which were totally scuffed and damaged and the pouch,which i also bought the sticking has a pull in it,the laynard beans looked used i send photos of the damaged laynard bead that cost a shocking £15 each,I politely told the seller windeler that the knife pouch and 2 kaynard bead were suppose to be a gift for my father,which I could give him due to it looking used.i email twice no response.Im going to contact small claims and report the matter due to breaking my consumer rights.whats the point of owning a newish business if all your going to do is give terrible customer service,to your customer,you know the people that said for you to start up your company in the first place.

Terrible customer service!!!

Terrible customer service, ordered by accident, and wanted to make a cancellation. Sent an e-mail immediately, but no response after 3 different emails over a span of a week and they went ahead and shipped it already… Don’t buy from them, so many other good knife/EDC companies with good customer service.

they shipped it more than a month late, divided the shipment in two so I had to pay taxes (EU) twice for the total sum, never answered a single email
