This company takes advantage of the old…

This company takes advantage of the old and vulnerable and have scammed my Mother out of over £1000 for next to no work. I have contacted trading standards who are very aware of this company too. PLEASE AVOID AT ALL COSTS!

I have just referred this company to…

I have just referred this company to trading standards and the police. my elderly father living alone has spent almost £20k with this company since 2013 on unnecessary warranties and upgrades. Most egregiously he paid £3k in July for a gold contract and has just been persuaded/conned/bullied into paying £4k last week for a platinum contract - luckily I was in time to stop the cheque as I have power of attorney. But this company should be put out of business

I've had exactly the same experience as…

I've had exactly the same experience as one of the reviewers below. I took out a 3 year contract 2 years ago and now they have dissolved that company and set up another with almost the exact same name. It has the same owner as the previous and he is the MD of the new and was the MD of the previous company too - Graeme Putman. They told me they'd want £2.5k to set up a new contract to run another 3 years and will not honour the previous contract because that company no longer exists. Feels like a total scam - dissolve 1 company, set up another then tell the customers to stump up more money to get what they have already paid for. I'm going to report them to Trading Standards.

WINDOW WARRANTY (NW) LTD

WINDOW WARRANTY (NW) LTD

Horrible, despicable, cold calling firm. They rang my 80 yr old parents and told them that Safestyle had `passed our details to them` and asked them to call to `check their windows` because the Safestyle warranty was about to expire. This was an outright LIE. They invited themselves to my parents house to enter into the house to `inspect` the windows.
When I learned of this, I rang Safestyle, who told us categorically that the firm had NO connection to them. We rang Window Warranty back and told them not to call under ANY circumstances, but the rep STILL turned up shortly afterward, (and was told in no uncertain terms, to B*gger off by me).

This supposed `professional` swore at us and then retreated muttering.

Upon Googling the firms Telephone number, (01253200930), we discovered a long list of people complaining about this firm with similar horror stories to ours.

I suspect they were attempting to fool my parents into buying an `Extended Warranty`, which I guess would not be worth the cost of the paper it was written on.

My parents are on the TPS list but this did not seem to stop this firm calling them..(The number they called from was:- 01253200930 ).

The incident caused my parents severe stress as not very long ago they were subject to a telephone scam, and they nearly lost all their savings. They really don`t need this sort of harrassment at their time of life.

Edit:- I reported this firm to the TPS as my parents are registered on the list, (if a person is registered on this list, it`s against the law to make any sales calls to them without explicit permission and request).

The TPS informed us that they had written a letter to them.

To date, we are STILL receiving cold calls from this firm.

They really don`t seem to care that what they are doing is both distressing, immoral AND illegal.
