5 Star Service

Ordered wine for family event a week in advance. Contacted them to make sure it’s arrive on time. There were issues with the delivery (not wineonline’s fault) and when I emailed them to flag this they not only reissued the order with no quibbles but personally delivered it just now to make sure the event wasn’t affected. Thank you!

Rubbish customer service. Incompetent staff.

I ordered a case of wine to be sent as a present for a special birthday. I allowed at least ten days lead in time to ensure that it would arrive on the correct day and made the order personally by phone to avoid any mistakes. I was assured that this was no problem. I subsequently received a mail from UPS saying that it would be delivered a week in advance of the specified date. I contacted wineonline who assured me that they would fix the issue but this was merely a platitude, and they did not. Embarrassingly the parcel was delivered more than a week ahead of the specified date. I will not be dealing with this company again.

Beautiful Package, excellent Customer Care

Absolutely cannot commend this site enough.
ordered 6 0% bottles only 3 working days ago and already landed this morning, beautifully and carefully packed.
not to mention staff going above and beyond, i had a call to let me know the 0% bottega i had ordered wasn't in yet, would i mind waiting a day or they could swap it if id like, that level of customer care sold it for me i absolutely will be ordering again without a doubt.

I was very upset with my order

I was very upset with my order. It came in no presentation box. I ordered a baileys set and the glasses that came with the set didn't have a baileys logo. Very disappointed as I paid €60

Superb Customer Service

WinesOnline.ie very kindly got my special delivery to Dingle in time for my friends 60th birthday. It was tight, but they went the extra mile to make it happen. Would I use them again? In a heartbeat.

Super company

Good selection of spirits and everything arrived well packaged and in one piece. Delivery was quick too. Would recommend.

UPDATE: Have since ordered from here again via Click and Collect and they couldn't have been more helpful. I was trying to order a gin at short notice for my sister before she flew home after Christmas and Wineonline were great and made sure the order was ready on time. They were easily contactable by phone and always so happy to help. Wish I could give more stars.

Amazing customer service

I sent a bottle of champagne to a friend of mine for her birthday, and like an idiot sent it to her old address ... Nelcina in customer services couldn't have been more helpful or kinder in tracking it down, which we eventually did. What a star – thank you Nelcina!

I recently ordered from this business and can only describe the experience as excellent. I ordered on Wednesday and had my order on Saturday. The customer care and communication was excellent. I will certainly order from here again.

The wine non delivery service I ordered a special (and expensive)…

Ordered a special (and expensive) bottle of wine for a colleague
Was assured it had been delivered safely
I subsequently found out from the intended recipient it had never arrived
Wine online blamed the receiving organization and refused to refund me They offered me a 10 % discount on my next order instead
Very disappointed by their service and shall not use them again

Just spoke to Will who called me when I…

Just spoke to Will who called me when I tried to order wine online. He is so very pleasant and kind. He called to tell me that the wine I was looking at was on special offer. He could very well have let me proceed to purchase paying the full price. Wonderful service. It’s my first time buying from will and it won’t be my last. Thanks so much

Wineonline still untrustworthy

Wineonline still untrustworthy. Will's standard playbook is to apologise profusely but then do nothing to resolve the 'mistake', assuming it's a mistake - in my case, sending two cheap bottles of wine to a family member as an anniversary gift instead of the expensive bottles I had ordered. Where they send a gift on your behalf you have no way of checking that they sent the wine you paid for, so in many cases customers will think that they got good service when in fact the recipients of the wine are surprised that they sent such cheap wine as gifts.

We have not been in business 21 years by duping people so I would be really anxious to hear more from you so that I can resolve instantly for you. I disagree that you have no way of knowing whatever was sent as most people will share images nowadays when thanking for their gifts. 83% of recipients do this so we go to pains to send what was ordered or to call senders if a replacement of equal or higher value needs to be sent in the event that a wine is out of stock. Please message me directly if you would like me to resolve this - I certainly will do all i can to resolve it from this side. Please also tell me your name, or order number? Will

Awful

Awful, ordered a bottle of Amarone in a gift box on the 23rd of December it didn’t arrive until 7th of January, given the climate I understand the delay even if they posted on Facebook on the 23rd for last minute Christmas gifts. The bottle that arrived was a €16 bottle of wine. I have called the mailbox is full, I have emailed an no reply. No refund as of yet or confirmation they will send out the correct bottle. The person who received the gift hasn’t even opened the wine since we don’t know what wineonline are going to do, swap the bottles or give a refund. But this is definitely the first and last time I’m ordering from this place.

Update: hello Will, your private email response is a far cry from the below reply, where you profusely apologise for the human error caused, and you state you see the mistake where in fact you did send a cheap €16 red versus the Amarone I ordered. Yes this was all on your website, so no I didn’t see it anywhere else. I never once said your team didn’t deserve a break on Christmas, what I have stated is how this has been handled in the aftermath, and posting two completely different replies one publicly and one privately just shows the type of service I have received. Do you not recall from your email that you will personally deliver the correct wine this coming Friday to ensure there would be no further issues? I am more than happy to share a copy of your email here on trust pilot. I would highly recommend updating your response to simply explain it was a mix up on your part and that you are currently trying to rectify it, rather than trying to put this on me. Yes I stand corrected on the post on the 23rd as it was for last minute Christmas gift cards. Honestly seeing this after our email communication, you are really showing the service I have received has been quite deceiving. Even in your email you have said you are in the business for over 20 years and the top wine delivery in Ireland and that is not from treating customers badly, which after reading your reply clearly I’m not one of those customers. Just disappointing.

Order never arrived for Christmas, no refund given and company not replying to emails

I ordered 12 bottles of wine well in advance Christmas, they never arrived. I followed up, company said it was delivered to the neighbours.
I have emailed them several times for a full refund which I still have not received nor indeed are they even replying to my emails. The order was to the value of €210.

Your order was mistakenly delivered by our couriers to your neighbours. we take responsibility for that. We have been trying to locate and retrieve it for you ever since but since we had not done that a full refund was offered and completed and We hope the issue is fully resolved now.

Cocktail box

I bought a cocktail box and it was definitely worth the price. The quality of the cocktails was great, tasted exactly like what you would get in a bar! The box included two martini glasses which I though was a nice touch. Presentation and taste was great.

Not to be trusted

Agreed delivery date missed so my order was not here for the occasion it was required for.

Not acceptable given this is the minimum you’d expect from an online retailer.

Ordered for my sister's…

Ordered for my sister's birthday.Ordered over 150 euros.They sent the order without a product that cost 40 euro,never informed me,the sender or my sister.When I queried them the just made up some nonsense about we were far too busy to realise we forgot half your order but we sent it anyways without informing you.Took at least 2 weeks for a refund.Serious bunch of chancers.Do not order off them

No sign of the wine delivery yet! I Paid the money 21st Dec for wine…

Paid the money 21st Dec for wine delivery. Still not received . It’s passing between fastway and wine online, and no sign of the delivery three weeks later. I have had to chase this for two weeks on a daily basis and have had little satisfaction. I have requested a refund and am still waiting for a reply. I looked at the reviews before using this service, but I would not have to say after my experience, I would not recommend online wine sadly to anyone . This is my first time posting a bad review On anything!
