Wines Direct is an Irish family owned and operated wine importers. The wines we offer you represent a 25-year labour of love. We are uncompromising in our mission to source independently made wines directly from growers around the world and we apply our strict selection criteria to each and every wine on our list, from the everyday to the extraordinary.
We go out of our way to avoid the boring, mass-produced wines so as to create and sustain a market of choice for you and your fellow wine lovers. We do so by walking the ground of the world’s famous and not so famous wine regions and by directly sourcing from dedicated and fiercely independent winemakers. Wine tasting event
Attended the wine tasting on Saturday the 11th of November. I cannot recommend it highly enough for anyone interested in gaining further knowledge about wines, grape varieties , countries of origin and food pairings. Fantastic event with extremely knowledgeable and friendly staff. A fabulous selection of wines available in this beautiful new addition to Athlone.

Get your wedding wine from Wines Direct
We booked our wedding wine with Wines Direct and Ian and the team couldn't have been more helpful. A shortlist of wines were picked to match the menu and then Ian expertly went through each one during a tasting which was very informative. Although we left it late in the day to order the wine, they delivered the wine to the venue very promptly. Superb service and I would highly recommend them if you are looking for wine for an event or function.

We were in a Indian restaurant The silver oak in Athlone on Sunday and ordered some wine and it was lovely.I noticed it was supplied by "wines direct" I got on the net and ordered some.It arrived to my address on Monday ,it was home before us.I have bought wine from their shop in the Midland,this was the first time I ordered on line , very impressed
