W J Townsend and son are a family run Plumbing and heating business specialising in oil heating systems. From boiler repairs, servicing and replacements we have your oil boiler covered. We carry out all plumbing jobs from tap replacements to a whole house re-plumb, caring for all types and sizes of domestic houses. We work along side of Worcester Bosch and Grant boilers as approved installers enabling us to offer the best products with the support of the manufacturers. We get our materials from leading merchants only using the best stuff for our customers. W J Townsend and Son was established after the 2nd World War in 1945 by William John Townsend who ran the business up to the 1980’s when his son Andy took the reigns. Ben joined the business after completing his A levels in 2002. He then carried out a formal apprenticeship achieving a NVQ level 3 in plumbing and heating and gained lots of extra qualifications. Andy Retired in 2018 with Ben taking control to continue offering the same level of service backed up by the years of experience that have been passed down from generation to generation. Looking towards the future W J Townsend and Son look to offer all the newest technologies blending the years of experience and high efficiency green solutions to ensure our customers have the highest level of heating solutions.

Professional and knowledgeable
We have been using WJ Townsend and sons for a few years now and find them to be professional, speedy, always willing to help. Sean is an absolute delight, he's so polite, knowledgable and professional. Hayley and Ben are also so helpful and could not recommend this company enough for oil boiler servicing and repair. Will definitely use them for all our future heating and plumbing needs.
