Missed garbage pickup again!

On September 23, 2025 Tuesday, Waste Management failed to pick up my garbage for the second time in two weeks. They use to have a place on their app to report a missed pick up but they have removed it. I guess they got tired of seeing their customer complaints. I don't know what's going on but their service has degraded in the last two weeks. They say not to report a missed pickup until after the next business day in case they come by and pick up the garbage. They NEVER do! They never give a reason for not picking up my garbage.

This company is absolutely horrible

This company is absolutely horrible! I'm a small business owner. This company kept raising their rates on me, so I went and found a company that charged a lot less for the same service. When I called to cancel my service, I spoke to Roberto. He told me he would have to put my account on hold for 60 days before they could cancel my account, because I didn't give them the proper notice. However, he told that I would not be charged while the account was on hold. They just needed to treat it like I was going on vacation. They picked up the trash bin 2 1/2 months later and then billed me. I spoke to several people on the phone to try to get the invoice removed as I was told I wouldn't be charged. Not only would they not take the charge off my account(that I wasn't supposed to get in the first place)they then threaten to send the bill to a collection agency. I don't recommend this company to anyone. And I personally will never use them again. BTW, I went ahead and paid the bill so as not to ruin my companies reputation.

Awful company would not recommend…

Awful company would not recommend anyone to go with them as you can see by the reviews!!! Get you into a contract hassle you and when you end up going in the contract they over charge you!!! And lie and also do not even pick up your sharps or your bins just a big scam then try to charge you when you want to get out of contract because they can’t even do there jobs

WORST COMPANY EVER

WORST COMPANY EVER.
I pay monthly for 2 containers, didnt have a problem at first but then out of the blue they quit picking yp my garbage and are trying to charge me a resume service fee when they are the ones that quit providing service. They picked it up agger I complained once, but now for the last three weeks they have no picked up my garbage! And have excuse that the cans are over loaded. When the cans are completely closed ! And only half full. One time they even tried telling me it was over loaded because the wind had blown my can open. Like they expect me to stand outside and gold the lid closed on windy days.

If I could leave a negative review I would. I stopped using Waste Management because of their terrible customer service. I recently moved into a new house. And there were bins in front from waste management. I use a different trash company, so my bins are also there..
They were supposed to pick up their bins yesterday. And they didn't, they showed up today and dumped all of the trash from the old bins into my brand new trash cans with no bags. No, nothing I went outside and told him. That's not my trash. It was here before and he continued to dump it anyway. Both the trash and the recycle into the same bin.
I called their customer service line, and the lady hung up on me. The representative was totally unbothered and didn't seem to care it all.. There's nothing they can do.

Cans are not allowed on the back of the truck full, as this could create a mess in the streets. Very sorry the previous residents filled their cans after their service had stopped, I understand how frustrating that would be. Your real estate agent or property manager may be able to help. Horrible recycling

I have called numerous times about the truck driver picking up the garbage dumping my recycling in with the garbage. I'm so tired of them doing this. I pay for two containers so they are actually ripping me off by throwing it all together. I thought recycling was important for our environment but apparently not with this company. I will be dropping them.

Possibly the worst company I have ever dealt with

Possibly the worst company I have ever dealt with

WM raises the fees every quarter, and not by a little. Average increase was 15-20%, per quarter. After finally cancelling my service, they said they would charge me $100 to pick up 2 bins that we'd had for over 12 years, and that were supplied by a different service provider.

They sent one email about 2 moths later with an invoice attached, and it already included a 13% late fee.

WM not only provide lousy waste service (missed pickups, high prices, limited recycling), but their accounting and billing practices are borderline predatory.

My advice to you - stay far, far away from this miserable company.

Poor pickup/ no pickup

Poor pickup/ no pickup. Only took 1/2 of the bin. Left the heavier items which were on bottom. The customer service AI doesn’t understand anything said. Shuts down in mid question. After repeatedly hitting zero was connected to a real person. “They’ll try to get it today, but may be Monday. Raised our prices without notice, but the same poor service.

I was with Waste Managed in 2024 and I can honestly say it was nothing but problems from the very start. From day one, there were errors, miscommunication, and a complete lack of professionalism. Their customer service staff are not just unhelpful, but downright rude, dismissive, and incapable of taking responsibility for their constant mistakes. Every conversation felt like going in circles, and I was always the one having to chase for answers that should have been provided upfront.

Even the most basic service — bin collections — was handled poorly. Despite clear instructions and confirmations, they still managed to get it wrong, leaving my business in an unacceptable position. When you’re running a business, you need reliability and support, not endless excuses and careless service.

The entire experience caused me unnecessary stress, financial loss, and wasted time. Waste Managed simply do not care about their customers. They say one thing and do another, and there is no accountability when their actions cause damage.

If you value your business and your sanity, steer well clear of Waste Managed. There are plenty of companies out there who can provide waste services without making life miserable — this is not one of them.

Awful my bins never get collected

Awful my bins never get collected .
Pay £120 a month for a service that never gets done.
Having to chase weekly I asked them if I can come out of contract because I am paying for a service that is not happening want to charge a huge fee!!!

WM is a joke full of joke people

This company is a joke. Despite being a long-time customer, we cannot get them even to tell the truth. They rescheduled our trash pick up without prior notification, a situation made worse by a holiday weekend the following week. After multiple phone calls and three separate assurances that a ticket had been created and the trash would be picked up by the end of the day, WM was a no-show every. single. time. It has been OVER TWO WEEKS since our last pick up. We will be finding a new company to work with and we will not miss their reckless driving. Good riddance.

DONT SIGN UP WITH WM

Waste management is a joke , the last 2 months they have not picked up my trash , I cant get a hold of anyone but the money was just paid on Autopay THEY DONT CARE ABOUT THE CUSTOMER!!! They don't know what customer service means. Our driver is a jerk they leave cans in my neighborhood in the middle of the street, on their side or in front of driveways they don't answer calls and if your lid is even open an inch or 2.8 ft near a car instead of 3 they won't pick up. They are not willing to work with the customer THEY DONT CARE ABOUT THE CUSTOMER.

Worst company ever

- bin delivery scheduled for 13rd August but no bin has been delivered.
- rescheduled for 25th but still no bin delivered.
- scheduled for a free 15 bags collection but no collection happening.
- i asked for cancel as in 14 days of cool down as standard but got replied they don’t offer cool down.
This is so bad

🚫 Absolute Scam Company – Avoid at All Costs 🚫

Waste Management is nothing short of a predatory, parasitic scam operation. The moment you sign their contract, you’re trapped. They will let your bins rot, turning your workplace into a stench-filled pest-infested dump, while still stealing money from your account every single month.

Trying to leave them is impossible — they’ll lock you in with fine print and threats, forcing you to pay for private collections on top of their extortionate charges.

Their customer service is a complete joke: arrogant, manipulative, and deliberately trained to wear you down until you give up. They don’t solve problems; they exist only to squeeze more money out of you.

This company is a leech that feeds on businesses, leaving you stressed, exhausted, and broke. If you value your sanity and your business, stay far, far away from Waste Management.

Quite literally the worst service we've…

Quite literally the worst service we've ever received. We've spent two months trying to sort out bin delivery and collection dates appropriate for our restaurant service. Their avenue for addressing these complaints is through their own web portal that doesn't load over 50 percent of the time. When a complaint or a missed collection is filed through their web portal when the god forsaken app does actually work, no one responds.

When we finally got through on the phone to find out when our bins would be collected (scheduled for Thursday, having received conflicting email confirmations detailing collections for Thursdays only and Fridays only) the employee on the phone couldn't locate our account despite giving them our account number, business name, postcode, and address. (Spoiler alert, no employee seemed to be able to find our account despite having signed up two months ago). When we finally got to the bottom of why they could never find our account, the employee on the phone told me that our collection was scheduled for a Wednesday, and not a Thursday or a Friday as previously confirmed, and hence why no one was collecting our bins on Thursdays or Fridays. When we finally convinced the employee on the phone to change our collection day to Fridays as we were unable to do Wednesdays with our restaurant being closed on a Tuesday, the bin men came to collect on the following Wednesday anyway, telling us that no one had told them that the collection date was changed to a Friday.

This week, the bin men finally came on a Friday after weeks of trying to sort out a Friday collection, and we were told that they didn't deal with food waste and thus, we still have food waste bin uncollected for weeks now. The cherry on top was then the bin men collected and threw away a whole bin of ours so now we are a full bin short plus our food waste is still uncollected for weeks now.

We've been on the phone to the customer services every Friday for the last four weeks trying to sort our bins out to absolutely no avail. Nothing said to the customer service team on the phone is ever passed on to the bin collection team.

Plus, we've been billed for a collection every week for the last four weeks when we've only had two incomplete collections in the same time.

The amount of stress that this has caused us is immeasurable and no one seems capable of addressing any of our concerns

Horrible Service

So I recently switched to Waste Managmenr due to the service I was having with my prior company. So the first week pick up was as scheduled, the second week was trash and recycling. So I had both Totes out at 650 before I left for work. When I got home the trash had not been picked up, however the recycle had been. ( both totes were placed side by side ). So I called at 415 and it went to VM, though says their hours are 8 - 430. Unable to leave a message. So I called the next day was told they would come back by no later than 7 p.m. No pick up, so I called again, of course closed no VM. Then I recieved a call that my trash would be picked up on my regular scheduled day. I text the number that had stated text messaging me and let them know as hot as it is the trash is starting to smell. I was told that the driver said my can WAS NOT out and that's why it wasn't picked up so it would be the next scheduled day ! REALLY! Yet my recycle had no issues with picking up , they argued with me that the driver " said" so ok, I called to cancel my service,I was told oh they can't help me I had to call the Colorado Springs Office, was transferred 3x before I got ahold of them. I was told my cans needed to be Clean and in the street for pickup, ok. I requested credit back to my card, ok they would put that thru. I called 3 weeks later still not seeing any kind of credit, was transfered around 4x ( this being the number they previously had given me) still getting transferred, to be told that they didn't show any kind of credit due, I asked your charging me $54 for 3 weeks of service with only 2 pick ups?, she said we charged you a can pick up fee of $20 and then the rest for service ! YOU HAVE GOT TO BE KIDDING ME !!! You can never get thru, can't leave a VM, and they are going to work it to where they owe you nothing! This company sucks and I should have read the reviews BEFORE going with them. BEWARE if you are considering switching to this company! Oh and my neighbors trash wasn't picked up last week ( he puts it out the night before ) and it's still sitting there! Read the reviews for this company before switching!

VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVCE OR SHOULD I SAY NONE AT ALL.

I have been trying to contact them by phone all day. The number gets me to some prompts and then hangs up. Where in world is the customer service, I have a special circumstance that I have questions for and a web site with the most popular questions isn't going to work. However, if we didn't pay our invoices, I would probably receive a threatening call. Not good, considering changing services.

Buyer Beware- Costs $75 when you want to end services.

When you are done with their services they have the audacity to charge the customer $75 for Waste Management to pick up their own trash cans. The customer is given no choice and can not drop off the cans themselves to avoid this expensive final bill.Maybe they consider punishment for ending their services. I consider it Robbery!!!So this is a built in up charge that is not advertised and should be.

Both trash and recycle bins were placed…

Both trash and recycle bins were placed at the end of the driveway the night prior like we always do. They picked up the trash, but left the recycle bin full stating there was a hazard. They said the trash bin was too close to the recycle bin. I do not have the words. The recycle bin was not blocked and they had complete access to it. This is not the first time, this was just the latest flavor of excuses. They would not amend the bill or come pick up the recycle bin. Totally unacceptable.
