So easy to perform complicated state tasks.

I hired this company in November 2023 to assist with business licensing and compliance services for my business. From the beginning, I was proactive in asking questions and ensuring all documentation was completed correctly.

My materials were acknowledged as received on December 19, 2023. Throughout 2024, I followed up periodically, but communication was inconsistent and there was no clear indication that the work had been completed.

On November 21, 2024, I was contacted to confirm my business address and was told a zoning request would be submitted to the city. After that, communication stalled again.

On February 14, 2025, I was informed that my case had been mishandled internally, that the original handler had not completed the work, and that little to no progress had been made. At that time, I was told a refund would be requested.

On November 26, 2025, I was explicitly told that a refund check had been issued and mailed. Despite multiple follow ups in December 2025, January 2026, and February 2026, I have not received the check, nor have I been provided tracking information or confirmation that it was mailed or reissued.

I remained responsive, cooperative, and patient over a period of more than two years. I’m sharing this experience to highlight the importance of follow through, accountability, and clear communication when handling time sensitive compliance services.

Ordering the certificates of good standing was easy from the website. Service was fast. Price was reasonable.

I have had a terrible experience with both the business licensing team as well as the servicing team. Items are not handled in a timely manner, causing expiring licenses; they do not fill out forms correctly or assist in a way that warrants their fees. Their customer service is the worst part.

2 stars for a quick refund. -3 for no substantive service in dissolution…the service consisted of emailing me a blank form to fill out that is no different than the PDF on the FL SOS website. No assistance with corporate resolution, just a $370 bill…not really much help.

In my opinion the Corporate registration process between Wolters Kluwers and the state (NC) is an example of systemic set-up, where the large institution/state takes advantage of small business. The firm charged around $300/year simply to remind me to pay them the approximately $70/year that was owed to the state for LLC registration. Then, when I switched to a less costly service provider and filed with the state, by the deadline, Wolters Kluwer felt they were entitled to bill me for the reminder they sent, for the registration that, had they checked, was actually paid. So, the reminder was null and void, but I still had to pay WK as I did not want to risk their threat of being sent to collection. This is the type of big business that is willing to dabble in the unethical in order to make $50 off small businesses. All they do is remind you to pay them to pay the state.
