Amazing experience from start to finish

Bought at the idea home
Show at Christmas- lovely salesman who couldn’t do enough for us - kept informed every step of the way. Great delivery, turned up almost to the minute, very helpful and friendly.
Provided everything and set up, amazing sofa really well made and comfortable.

A very pleasant and unexpected purchase…

A very pleasant and unexpected purchase (oak table and chairs) from a winter fair at Hampton Court. Extremely satisfied with the quality of the product, and the service was top notch. Items were delivered in less than a week and just prior to Christmas. Thank you.

Superb service.

When I read about the fire my first thoughts were OMG I've lost my table and chairs. But after just one email conversation my fears were put at ease and delivery arrangements were agreed. My new table and chairs were delivered and assembled for me and how to use explained by a very professional team. Superb furniture, superb quality and superb service. Thankyou Woodstock I would definitely recommend you to anybody.

We purchased our table and chairs at a a build show

We purchased our table and chairs at a build show, we were just starting our new build and wouldn’t be ready for delivery for quite some time, Woodstock were happy to keep our items until they were needed. During this time,Woodstock had a terrible fire at their warehouse but still honoured our purchase, even upgrading our chairs as ours were unfortunately lost in the fire. We love our new table and chairs so thank you, Woodstock Home and garden

Delivery Problems at Woodstock

I ordered the garden furniture in September 2024 with a deposit of £1000 and expected delivery in March 2025. I was requested to make the final payment of £1600 in February 2025 which I did. In March I contacted Woodstock to confirm a delivery date at which time they informed me (for the first time) that they had had a fire in their warehouse in December 2024 which had destroyed their stock. Apparently the insurers were being slow in paying out their claim and they didn't know when I would receive my furniture. Given the situation I don't think Woodstock should have requested the final payment in February. I wasn't sure I would ever receive the furniture but they did finally deliver it in June. Please note that I am now happy with the furniture.

Avoid like the plague. Shocking customer service

Ordered the grande table in July 2025 at a show, with the understanding that the table was not required until just after Christmas. After Christmas, emails and telephone calls were ignored. No one was responding. I put a claim in on my credit card as my 6 months protection on credit card purchases was almost up. I did some Internet sleuthing as there was another home build show happening only 15 minutes drive from me, and found Woodstock operated under another name, and had booked a stand at this show. I then emailed and said I would be turning up at the stand and creating merry hell if they did not respond and get my table to me. I went to the show and waited until the stand was very busy and then talked very animatedly with my receipt in hand to get my order arranged. My table arrived 5 days later. I then had a huge amount of hassle from them because my chargeback went through and although I had contacted the bank and they reversed it for me, it would seem it took Woodstock a bit longer to get the money back. After I explained initially that my bank had reversed the charge back and the problem was with the bank now, they continued to hassle me, saying they would be picking the table up. I said over my dead body would they be taking the table away again. As you can see, I am alive and I also still have the table. I would NEVER buy from this company again.

I was extremely disappointed to read your recent review and feel it’s important to address several inaccuracies and provide clarity for the sake of fairness and our reputation.
First and foremost, I must stress that Woodstock has never operated under any other name. To suggest otherwise is entirely false and extremely damaging to our business. We take our reputation and transparency very seriously, and such an accusation is not only unfounded but deeply unfair.
You did visit our stand at the show, and I regret to say your conduct toward our sales staff was confrontational, despite their efforts to assist you respectfully and professionally. After a detailed conversation, we mutually agreed to proceed with the delivery, and it was confirmed it would take place within 3–4 days. We upheld our side of this agreement and delivered the items as promised.
What we were not informed of, however, was that you had initiated a chargeback before you had even come to the show. At no point prior to, or during, delivery were we notified of this. Despite this, you accepted the items—goods that, unbeknownst to us, had not technically been paid for.
You can only imagine our shock and concern when we received an email from our merchant provider revealing the chargeback— after delivery had taken place. Not only did this place our business in a vulnerable financial position, but it also raised serious concerns about the integrity of the transaction.
Let me be clear: you came to the show “creating merry hell”, took delivery of goods you had already requested your bank to reverse payment for, without notifying either our team or the delivery driver. That’s not a simple miscommunication—it’s a serious issue.
There was no harassment. Our delivery driver contacted you - which I have a record of - after the drop-off, understandably concerned that he had delivered items which had not been paid for. Following that, I the company director made a few attempts to contact you—calls I have full records of—asking you to reverse the chargeback or at least provide documentation or proof of the dispute, which we felt was not an unreasonable request under the circumstances. Our last attempt at communication was in January.
Why you’ve chosen to leave such a review now, in May, several months later, is baffling. Particularly as there had been no contact from your side since then.
As for the lack of communication you mentioned—I can only apologise. However, I must remind you that we experienced a devastating fire that destroyed our entire business premises. We were left not only trying to salvage what was left of our operations but also dealing with the profound emotional and financial toll this event took on our team and family. So I can say with certainty that hassling you was not a priority.
This experience has been a painful reminder that, unfortunately, not everyone chooses to act with empathy or understanding. While I absolutely respect a customer's right to share their experience, that right does not extend to making false or misleading claims, or omitting context that significantly changes the narrative.
On a personal note, this has been an incredibly distressing and uncertain time for us. We built this business from the ground up with relentless dedication and sacrifice. To watch it all be lost in a matter of hours was heartbreaking. Still, we continue to do everything we can to make things right for our customers—even in the most difficult of circumstances. We are only human, and we’re doing our best.
I hope this response helps provide some clarity and a more accurate picture of what really occurred.

Woodstock is bust!

I have received an email to say that, due to a fire, my chairs cannot ever be delivered. This is due to a fire at their premises and an insurance claim going down the legal route. Woodstock has currently ceased trading until further notice.

We would like to set out recent events and detail Woodstock’s situation as at today.

1. On 12th December 2024, a fire, caused by an electrical fault in an adjoining building, destroyed the warehouse rented by Woodstock, together with all of the contents.
2. Following visits by insurance experts immediately after the fire, the insurance company used by our landlord accepted the landlord’s claim for the loss of the property due to fire and is paying out the landlord’s claim.
3. We met with our own insurers immediately after the fire and expected our insurance claims for loss of stock and for consequential losses arising from the fire to be accepted and paid out in the same way as our landlord’s claim.
4. We sent you an email on 19th December 2024, explaining that our warehouse had been destroyed by a devastating fire and believing that our insurance claim would be accepted. We expected that payments against our claim would commence within weeks.
5. As at today, the insurance company is telling us that they are still looking at the claim and have yet to reach a decision on it.
6. In view of the unacceptable delays in accepting the claim, we have appointed lawyers to act on our behalf.
7. We are pushing as hard as we can for a resolution.
8. Since the fire and without a warehouse or stock, we have been unable to conduct any material volume of business.
9. We still believe that the insurance company should meet, now very belatedly, its obligations to us and to reimburse us for our losses in accordance with the terms of our policy.
10. Once we receive payments from the insurers, we will be able to sort out outstanding issues with our valued customers and take the business forward again.”

Terrible customer service

My father bought a table and chairs set at Christmas but there was a fault. Since then, had one reply to my email and now, no more communication back ... Not responding to emails or phone calls. Was told it was due to a fire, but still no communication.
Nice product but terrible customer service following purchase.

Do Not Order From This Company

At last year’s Ideal Home Show at Olympia in March 2024 we paid £1509.00 for a dining table and six chairs. As we are renovating a property we said we would not want delivery until at least the November. In the October I started sending emails and leaving voicemails to try and arrange delivery so we were ready for Christmas but did not get any contact from the company. We found this very worrying. After a few weeks of no replies we received an email advising that delivery would be on 15th December, then on 13th December we received an email explaining there had been a fire and all deliveries were cancelled and they would be in touch in the New Year. We got to 27th January 2025 with still no update received so I emailed again and asked for a full refund. A reply was not received so I sent a letter by recorded delivery reiterating that we want a full refund. We are now 12th February and I have still not had any contact or replies. I appreciate how devastating a fire can be but on looking on this site some people have been receiving their products so how does that work. We have definitely been scammed.

I purchased a Garden set from Vas at a…

I purchased a Garden set from Vas at a county show last year & I am still waiting for parts to be delivered.

The communication from Vas has been absolutely terrible. He has stopped replying altogether, leaving me chasing for parts that were never delivered. It took over three months just to deliver one item, and I am still missing key parts of the purchase, including the winter covers that were promised.

The only way I’ve managed to get any response was through a sales agent, who claims she doesn’t even work for the company!
