Matt cares.
He makes sure every uke is "spot on" before it goes out.
He gives his advice expansively, and for free, never rushing you.
That advice will even steer you towards a cheaper instrument if he believes that it fits better what you are looking for.
In this day and age, the service, and just all round "good eggness" that Matt provides is rare elsewhere, but very, very welcome.

Poor quality control, loose pick-up wiring internally prevented me selling this ukulele second hand/used.
Only had it a short time very disappointed.

I cannot recommend "World of Ukes" enough. Their pricing is very competitive, their customer service is second to none and the attention to detail is incredible. Matt expertly "sets up" every uke he sells and it is very reassuring to know that your uke will arrive looking, feeling and sounding as good as it possibly can. Delivery was tracked and fast. First time using and a great experience.
Matt was able to supply me with an unusual set of strings (B8) that everyone else had run out of.
It arrived virtually the next day, thank you!!!! as I have a few xmas gigs in the next couple of weeks and had stupidly run out of spares.

As my son was in London, I ordered a Flight Baritone ukulele from Matt. Despite being on a holiday, Matt answered my questions promptly. He attended to all my logistical concerns and the instrument arrived in good condition. Just as importantly, Matt's setup was professional and the ukulele played very well. A wonderful service!

I have bought and traded many ukes with Matt at World of Ukes. This is what you would call a first class gentleman who runs his business with the customer coming first. I've known him to spend hours setting up a cheap instrument to perfection just as he would with a uke costing several thousand pounds. If you find a particular uke cheaper than Matt's then I guarantee it hasn't been set up properly and you'll end up paying more to have it set up later. Don't waste your time on Amazon go to a professional and know you're getting the best service and quality products at reasonable prices. He will never try to upsell to you either and has often recommended cheaper Ukes to his customers if he believes it suits their needs better. All in all top class treatment and service provided in a very timely manner.

Matt has set up 2 ukuleles for me now and both play like a dream. I got 2 bargains from him as well as both were on special offer, so I saved quite a bit compared to other sellers.
Plus Matt set up my ukuleles by lowering the action on each and attaching strap buttons. On my latest purchase, Matt changed the strings for me. By the way, the strap buttons were free and I only paid for the strings, not the changing of them!

Despite the shop being theoretically closed until 2nd June, Matt saw my order and set up and dispatched a shiny new Flight Maia baritone uke in my direction. It arrived about 25 hours after order was placed. Customer service at its best.

I ordered 2 microphone clips from Matt yesterday for our group and the post man delivered them today! Excellent service as always from World of Ukes!

The best online service and experience you could want or wish for. In short, my partner purchased an ukulele from WoU for me for Christmas. A couple of months later I noticed a buzz coming off 2 of the strings so I emailed WoU and spoke with Matt who listened to the recording I'd sent. He suggested a new set of strings in the first instance which he sent to me free of charge. I replaced the strings which resolved the buzz on only one of the strings. Matt suggested I return the uke to him so he could investigate further, along with trying to resolve the issue. I had every faith in him fixing the uke and returning it to me. Unfortunately the uke was back bowed and it could not be fixed nor were there anymore in stock. I ended up purchasing a more expensive uke, Matt set her up and gave her a thorough once over before shipping her to me the same day I'd made the purchase, receiving her the very next day! Faultless process, communicative, top notch customer service, I'd 100% recommend purchasing from WoU.

I have bought and traded many ukes from Matt at World of Ukes and would recommend to anyone. No upselling..he even persuaded me not to buy one time, knowing that it wasn't for me. Pre and post sales is excellent. They have all been given set ups even including free low G string or strap button if requested.

Having just started on our journey of ukulele playing, my wife decided to buy a Uma Tenor for me as an early birthday present. We contacted Matt at World of Ukes and arranged to visit and view some models. We were very impressed with the showroom display and Matt's friendly, helpful advice. Having bought our Uke we headed home to Wales, extremely pleased with our purchase.

Matt is exceptional in terms of service and knowledge. He advised me in a way that was completely unexpected—in the best way possible. I don’t know anything about ukuleles and wanted to buy one as a gift for my aunt. I explained what I was looking for and used a ukulele listed on the website as an example. Matt then suggested two other options that were actually less expensive than the one I had selected.
