Wow! I will be honest, this was the best Airlines I have ever flown on. I have traveled a lot and have been on many. I was sad to see this hassle free, great service Airline go under.

Bad information

We booked a trip to Iceland via Groupon with Wowair. We never received any information about the luggage we're allowed to carry and during the check in online we didn't notice anything. Upon arrival at the gate we were told we had to pay 82 euro each for our very small luggage. This is a total rip off and it's outrageous. Never flying with them again.

Thiefs

You get "cheap" tickets but then you pay the same price to buy bagage on The plane. And you cant have normal hand luggage unless you pay almost half of The Ticket Price !!! So The "cheap" ticket is NOT cheap !!!
AND there is a two hour delay on top of it all...

Appalling customer service and pretty shameless thieves

Had a London to Iceland return flight booked several months early but suddenly realised I might not be able to make it so was going to send someone else in my stead. Wow Air was going to charge £100 to simply change the name on the ticket. The total price of the 2 tickets was less than that.

When I asked why, they just sent me to their terms and conditions... Instead I kept the tickets in my name.

More recently I received a notification that the flight time was being changed, which meant that I definitely would not be able to make it, and so I requested a refund based on them changing the flight time and no longer being able to offer me the service I paid for.

They refused, saying the delay wasn't long enough to entitle me to a 'full' refund. After a long argument they point blank refused and stated they would refund my airport fees only. So in fact they still did not refund any of the ticket or extra baggage fee, just the bit of money that was for the airport.

Every time I asked why they would not refund my money, which is clearly the correct and reasonable thing to do, I was told because they wouldn't because they didn't HAVE to, citing the small print on some EU flight regulations which basically act as a get-out clause from their own guarantees in their printed terms and conditions of carriage.

I retained the full transcript of our conversation and it is pretty staggering how little they seem to care about even the smallest semblance of customer service. Worst. Airline. Ever.

Changing ticket is crazy expensive

I'm still in chock after talking on the phone with customer service.

First off, online booking area doesn't work.

Second, waiting +30 minutes without knowing what number in the phoneline I'm in, is just plain annoying. (Should be fairly easy to fix)

Fee's and charges are insane with this company! (yes, I could have read the terms)

Name change £50! (Per guest, per flight leg)
Flight change £50! (Per guest, per flight leg)
+ service fee £15 (Per guest, per flight leg)

I ended up paying double of the original booking, how is this in any way reasonable?

:(
