Subscibed for WPS PRO to save pdf and got scammed
Subscibed for WPS PRO just so save edited PDF file, paid 22 euros just to do that, thats okay. After 3 days they automatically charged 20 euros extra for AI plan, what I did not choose, I did not mark anywhere that I even want this AI plan and did not save any bank details, so seems like they collect all information even if you don't want to.
Support just gave a link to theirs privacy policy refund policy and says sorry, no refunds. Good legit scam company.
Go around this software and company.
Fun fact - Got refunded today, yesterday after review they have send me an email that it will be refunded.
Changing from 1 star to 2 stars, it would be 3, but I spent too much time for 20 eur refund.
WPS Office is a predatory piece of…
WPS Office is a predatory piece of garbage masquerading as a free productivity suite, and their payment system is straight-up designed to scam users out of money through sneaky, underhanded tactics that feel deliberately engineered to trap people into paying twice (or more) while stonewalling any hope of a refund.
The core scam revolves around their "free trials" and auto-renewal subscriptions. You start what appears to be a harmless trial—sometimes as low as a few cents or even advertised as free—and before you know it, they've hit your card with a full annual charge (often $20–$70+ depending on region and platform). The fine print is buried, the prompts are misleading (big shiny "Continue" or "Upgrade" buttons that accidentally trigger purchases), and cancellation isn't as straightforward as it should be. Many users report being double-charged right after canceling, or getting hit again due to "delayed benefits" or "renewal failures" that magically create duplicate orders.
Their official help page on multiple charges even admits this happens frequently enough to need a dedicated article, yet they push you to contact unresponsive support. Good luck getting a reply—countless complaints on Trustpilot, PissedConsumer, Sikayetvar, and forums describe emailing support multiple times with zero acknowledgment, let alone resolution. Refunds? Their policy is basically "no refunds after purchase unless there's a technical issue we can't fix," which conveniently excludes most accidental or deceptive charges. Virtual products are "delivered instantly," so tough luck if you didn't mean to buy.
Users routinely describe:
Unauthorized charges after short trials (e.g., $0.05 trial → immediate $23 annual fee).
Double deductions even after immediate cancellation via Google Play or app settings.
Extra "AI upgrades" or add-ons tacked on without consent.
Support that ghosts you while happily keeping the money.
In many cases, the only way people get refunds is by disputing through their bank or credit card company—WPS only backs down when forced by a chargeback threat. That alone tells you everything: if a company relies on banks to police their own shady billing, they're not operating in good faith.
The software itself might handle basic docs okay (though with ads, compatibility quirks, and aggressive upselling pop-ups), but the real product they're selling is frustration and stolen money. Avoid WPS Office like the plague. Stick to LibreOffice, OnlyOffice, Google Docs/Sheets, or even bite the bullet for legitimate Microsoft 365 if you need full compatibility. Anything but this scammy outfit that treats users' bank accounts like an open wallet with no returns policy.
One-star doesn't even begin to cover it—zero stars, and a strong recommendation to warn everyone you know.
Its more of a document box
Its more of a document box, where you can create a document , edit it, and even present from a phone. This comes handy to students who don't have a laptop but need to create documents sooner. It has come has been my go to Personal computer while at campus
Refund request – accidental charges for WPS subscription
I was charged twice for my WPS Office subscription (€20 on Feb 4 and €59.99 on Feb 7) due to automatic renewals that I forgot to cancel. I contacted support immediately and sent multiple messages over the past two weeks, but I have received no response at all.
I cancelled auto-renewal and provided proof of payment, but my refund request has been completely ignored. I have not used the renewed subscription and only asked for help resolving what was clearly an accidental charge.
I’m disappointed by the lack of customer support and communication. I hope someone from the WPS team can finally respond and help resolve this issue.

Worked ok but the paywall kept popping up whenever you wanted to do something. No option to buy a permanent copy so i switched back to Microsoft office 2024 for 149 from office depot
Avoid at all costs
Avoid at all costs, they are thieves who duplicate charges for orders and auto sub you to additional paid services without consent. One email address for contact only (which they call "feedback" as no direct contact available) and no response after 5 days, I had to contact my bank to contest all charges and block my card as the bank also confirmed they had stored my card details without my consent and kept trying to put charges through. Their cancel sub options also lists several scam reasons as reasons to leave like "I have a duplicate order with you, I did not authorise this payment etc.." which is very telling of their user experience. I emailed them three times explaining I had reported them to the bank for fraud trying to get my money back but five days later not a single email of acknowledgment from them. Absolute thieves and down £100 now thanks to them so please avoid at all costs if you can.

Refused to uninstall because "program in use".
Troublesome uninstall changed all Office icons to blank squares.
Can no longer find Windows Office on my list of installed programs
Very worst of Nightmareware
Very worst of Nightmareware. Yes it is easy to use, create, format a document but as soon as you try to save it insists you sign up your credit card to the most expensive AI plan. More expensive than MS Office. Despite what the website says there is no 'Free' plan, there is no standard plan and there is no Pro plan. Currently it is the AI plan or nothing. Advertising isn't just irritating it actually prevents saving of your work until you agree. Even if you are prepared to pay the subscription I would recommend avoiding at all costs because who knows what surprise will be next?
think twice when subscribe wps
think twice when subscribe wps, it has scammed many money from people, go read the google app review
Scammers!
I installed their office onto my laptop as part of a task in an offerwall. Not only that, but opened an account via Google. I screenshot the landing page as proof, with my initials displayed showing I had an account. They did not pay me, but rejected it by using a postback method.
The postback wouldn't have worked because I disconnected my account after not being paid. The screenshot displaying I installed WPS Office and had an account is indisputable proof.
I've now uninstalled it.

I purchased a 3-month WPS Office plan for $19 just one week ago.
Today, €54 was taken from my Wise account without my consent.
I did not authorize any renewal, did not make a new purchase, and did not even use the app today. The auto-renewal was not clearly communicated at the time of purchase.

Should have checked here before I payed... bought a subscription and after few days I realise the spell check dont work no more, if I want spell check I need to upgrade and pay another 80 or 100 a year... what a joke...
Im not entirely sure what this is but…
Im not entirely sure what this is but apparently had a free trial thst was running foe a couple of years. Noticed the charge and contacted them to cancel and refund the same day. Emailed twice and never received a response.
Absolute trash
Absolute trash. Wasting my time and patience fighting with tons of garbage adds loaded into this trash, at each and every step asks for money, a plain begger company with the sole focus on making profit. Even after a $89/year paid subsription I cannot use the features for which I already paid unless I pay even more.
If there is a lesser than to 0 star
If there is a lesser than to 0 star . This app is a kind of FRAUD it will default your credit card details even if you do not save it and will charge you when the free trial has ended even If you do not subscribe nor avail the free trial they automatically added the free trial to a wps pro without knowing it. You will just get inform when they already charge you.
WPS said it's application is free
WPS said it's application is free, I downloaded it, waited to be installed, as I was at work and be in a hurry to finish my excel sheet job. after all these efforts, it opens a read-only excel sheet for any action I need to subscribe.
Absolute scammers AVOID!!
Absolute scammers AVOID!!! It popped up with a free 3 day trial, however they charged me £72.99 straight away. Contacted them on their website form but they don't respond, but they'll happily take your money!
Going through my bank to get my money back then deleting this useless software.
I DONT NEED THE AI, they added the free trial and refused to refund. EVEN THOUGH I ALREADY REQUESTED A REFUND DAYS BEFORE
EDIT: Im changing my review (1 to 4), they refunded me this week after saying they don't offer refund for this type.
I requested a refund because they activated a free trial of WPS Ai for 3 days. Im not aware of.
I purchased the PRO because their free version lags too much.
I requested a refund after the first payment failed. THEY RETRY THE PAYMENT EVEN THO I ALREADY SENT AN EMAIL TO CANCEL.
THEIR WEBSITE DOESNT REALLY HELP, THEIR SUBMIT TICKET IS BROKEN AND THEIR SUPPORT DOENST HELP.
Pretty much outright fraud
Pretty much outright fraud - hijacks pdfs and then wants to charge you to do stuff you would be able to do for free without it
Increasingly Worse
This worked great for a while, but recently it has gotten more inundated with ads and pop-ups asking for upgrades. But the kicker was when I was editing a word document, then it corrupted the file, SAVED IT while I tried to undo, then closed. When I went into the repair option to recover it, it demanded payment for the repair.
