a lovely called Melanie dealt with me - i knew nothing about pensions and she put me at ease and explained things in layman's terms. She was very patient and examined which was the best pension for me.

Stay away from this company, don't trust your company or union or take their advice they are in it together.
the pension investment process is not as complicated as WPS make it, they are unprofessional in every area of the process and your initial call in my experience is not free and all info you give on this call will form their analysis to convince you to stay with your company and invest with their investors is right for you?? and this initial info will be use to make their decision, without a signed and dated financial risk assessment and a dodgy couple of questionnaires.
Be warned the initial call will set the tone and cost in the region of £1500 just for advice?? How this company are getting away with what they are doing and not being monitored 'Due diligence' is shocking they are work only in the interest of your employer and the unions, not individuals.
you have worked hard life time for your pension a quick call and poor advice to them your just a golden ticket shared between companies. i will be taking this up with my MP hopefully this might raise the issue and stop this company ripping anyone else off.
There are a lot of good companies that will offer free advice and do a better job. note investing your money is not scary they make that so a good expert in finance will take the time to advice you well- don't let them get away with your hard earned cash NOT even a penny WPS advice is not free.

On my first contact with WPS, the representative mentioned that he suffered from a stutter, but if he hadn't mentioned it, I wouldn't have noticed. This didn't affect our conversation and I warmed to the company for not being discriminatory. My final contact with WPS was with Financial Consultant, Martin Winter. His knowledge of all financial issues, even outside of his specialist area of retirement, was superb and he was fantastic with his replies and explanations to all of my qustions. He was able to quickly understand my level of knowledge in certain financial areas, and then quickly explain the missing information that I needed. All of Martins time and help allowed me to make a well informed decision and I have absolutely no hesitaion in recommending him and WPS's services.

David and his colleague Martin were the most pleasant pair of individuals and every step was explained thoroughly. The recommended product was just what I needed. I was not prompted or steered to any particular solution and from the very start I was made aware that I was in control and the choices I made were mine. The advice was first class with no pressure from Martin. He is both knowledgeable and diligent and felt like a trusted advisor and a friend more than a financial advisor. I would recommend WPS to friends who are nearing retirement age and Martin in particular for his professionalism and understanding of my needs and expectations. He exceeded my requirements and spent time ensuring I had all the answers to my questions. It is a big step allowing someone to manage my future and Martin again personified the trust and honesty when you allow someone to make such crucial choices on your behalf. Martin was a pleasure to deal with and more importantly he got me the best deal available.

The service was excellent. Everything was gone through with me in great detail over a number of appointments which were always on time. The advice I was given was structured to my needs in a way I totally understood and was delivered patiently so nothing was rushed. I felt very reassured that I could now make a decision on my future finances, I would highly recommend them.

Martin and Ben were very approachable, listened carefully to my retirement plans and needs, and used plain English to explain my options and give independent advice, including about things I hadn't considered before.
