I would never use wrench.com again

I would never use wrench.com again. The mechanic would always change the appointments. The mechanic said he could program the cas module after he did a diagnostic. Well he couldn't and the customer service sucks at best. I noticed they won't let you put a bad review on their website.

If I could have given 0 stars I would…

If I could have given 0 stars I would have. I contacted them to do a replacement of an Alternator on my 2016 F150. An appointment was made for sunday morning, that morning I was contacted by the mechanic who told me he was running behind but would be there after the Chiefs game to make my repair, which was no big deal, I mean its the Chiefs right? At approximately 4pm I hadn't heard from him so I reached out to him and he said he wasn't coming. I contacted the company, they rescheduled him for today, 11/13 between 930 and 1130. Again, no show. This guy really doesn't want to work I guess. Company attempted to still charge me a $150 cancellation fee, which I told them I would dispute the charges with my bank and had text messages to prove it was no fault of my own. They didn't charge me. I am not sure that its the fault of wrench or the mechanic or a combination of both. But I definitely would not hire or attempt to hire again. They are at best conveniently inconvenient.

WILL NEVER USE

I scheduled an appointment for Wednesday, 11/13/2024, between 8-10 AM to fix my car and took time off work to be available. The day before, I received an email reminding me to be ready and that I’d get texts when my mechanic was on the way. But on the day, no one showed up, no texts, no updates. My account still showed Malik scheduled to come.

When I called customer service, after a long hold, I was told they knew no one would be coming but left the appointment as-is because they hadn’t spoken to me directly when they called on 11/11. So they just left it on the calendar, knowing no one would show, and didn’t bother to notify me. Ironically, right after I called to cancel, I immediately got a text confirming my cancellation—so their system could text me when it suited them. I’ll never use this service again.

DON’T USE THIS COMPANY !!!

I used this company bc I was in a bind and my car wouldn’t start. IT’S A SCAM !!!They come out, put bad parts on your vehicle, and then charge you again when they have have to come back and replace the part, even though it’s under their 1yr warranty. The last mechanic they sent out told me the mechanics but the cheapest parts from ANYWHERE and throw it in your car. Now I have to go pay a professional mechanic to do it again, the right way, with a brand new part.

Terrible customer service

Terrible customer service. Disappointed every step of the process. Unless you like speaking w a robot? 20/30 minutes to make an appointment which was 6 days out, then to be contacted because they need to cancel? I get it, companies usually run 2-3 short employees. It’s hard to find people who want to work. Frustrating

I am extremely frustrated with the…

I am extremely frustrated with the service from this company. We scheduled an appointment for Saturday to fix my daughter's O2 sensor, and we stayed home all day waiting. When I called an hour after the appointment window, I was informed that our mechanic was sick and couldn’t make it. The next available appointment they offered was Monday 11/4/24 from 11:30-1:30, but we never heard from them again. My husband received a message at work stating they couldn't come and to call back to reschedule.

I took off work (11/4/24) to be available, and now I'm stuck without a solution. I waited on hold for 22 minutes before being disconnected, and the overall communication has been terrible. I've already paid $130 for a diagnostic, even though I told them it was the O2 sensor. Now I'm worried about paying another diagnostic fee at a new shop, and I feel like I was just taken advantage of. They asked me to take off work again on 11/5/24 and they assured me that someone would come fix it. I asked if they were sure because I really wanted to go vote, but I didn’t want to risk not being able around for the appointment. I waited ALL day and he texted 2:34 which was less than 30 minutes before the appointment window was to close to say that he couldn’t make it due to car issues, but that he could come the next day. I can’t afford to continue to call off of work to wait on them to possibly fix a car. I am now out of the $130 I paid for the diagnostic, I have used 16 hours of personal leave, and I won’t be paid for the two days I missed. They have cost me more money than it would have taken me to simply take it to the Audi dealership to get fixed. The customer service agent I spoke with yesterday was very rude. He was unconcerned with the issue. At this point, I’m not quite sure if they actually fix cars, or if they have mechanics who work for them. I believe that their business model is to simply get people to pay the diagnostic fees and go on to the next. I am appalled at this level of service and I will be submitting a complaint to the BBB. Congrats Wrench, you took money from me and cost me 16 hours of leave that could have been used to care for my elderly mother. It would be easier to just say, “Hey, we don’t really fix cars, but we are looking for donations” OR if you know that you are unable to fix an issue or have someone come out tell them so. Don’t do this to people. I work very hard for my money, I don’t have it to just throw away on hopes or false promises. DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR MONEY!!! THE REVIEWS ARE TRUE!!! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!

This company is unreliable, and I would not recommend them. I hope to get a refund for the diagnostic fee, but right now, it just feels like they took my money without providing any real service.

RIDICULOUS and WASTE of MONEY

July 152024 a single mom helping my 22 year old son get an AC compressor install into his car. I paid over $1300 for parts and labor. Mechanic did 2 hours of work but I was charged 4 hours of labor. Paid for AC receiver dryer never installed till this day 11/5/24. Never answers their phone, long holds and previous calls notes obsolete. Several appointment attempts made and always cancelling/rescheduling. I regret ever using this company. The convenience was not worth it!!!

Wrench.com is a flat out criminal committing Fraud

First I will say I had being using Wrench since 2018 they were excellent. I moved to an area they were not servicing so when the stated they were servicing my new location and I was in need of an auto mechanic I went on the Wrench.com and asked for a quote for replacing the hood latch cable for a 2021 VW atlas cross sport. No one contacted me so my wife contacted Wrench by phone after 24 hours had past. We spoke with the customer service and he stated the reason he had not contacted us back is they could not get the part to provide the service I told Customer Service I would bring my own part and I just need to mechanic to replace the Hood Release cable. The person said it would $168 for the labor and scheduled the appointment. Unfortunately, he scheduled the appointment for a hood latch replacement instead of the Hood release cable so when the mechanic comes out he says he was expecting to replace the hood latch and is unable to do the job. The mechanic canceled the work order on his phone and said I am probably going to have to take the car to the dealer. So I called Wrench to explain what happened customer service stated they are unable to release my money back to me because the mechanic came out and gave me professional advise. Which was to take my car to the dealer and they would charge me for a diagnostic fee. I said why are you charging me anything since nothing was done and the Mechanic closed the ticket saying he could not work on the car. I asked to speak to a supervisor I was put on hold for about 30 minutes and the person refused to get a supervisor. I called back and spoke to another person in customer service and waited again for another 30 minutes and was told their was not a supervisor available to discuss due to previous call obligations and no one was available to assist. Also not one time did anyone offer any assistance. I was told they will refer to their resolution team. I will never and I do mean never use these criminals again. I also filed a report with the better business bureau. Because I can't perform the service is not a diagnostic and it is certainly not professional advice.

Worst customer service ever

Set my appointment up on October 10 for the 15th. Waited for the mechanic to show up in his time window. He doesn't show call the company. They tell me he will be there at 1pm. Mechanic shows up at 140pm. But now the job is quoted wrong. Waited 5 days and several hours to be told the job is going to cost more. No compensation for my time and their screw up. Will never use this company again. Will report to the bbb too if they are on there.

Do not use this company

I scheduled a starter replacement with Wrench. Their mechanic John showed up in a black Tesla and brought a new starter with him.

John attempted to start my 2012 Volkswagen Jetta but the key kept getting stuck in the ignition. He performed a diagnostic check on the vehicle and found that the battery was good and the starter was good. John stated to me that the starter is not the problem, it's my ignition switch and it needs to be replaced. John further stated that he didn't have the tools to do an ignition switch replacement.

He also stated that I will only be charged for the diagnostic check because he didn't replace my starter and that he will return the starter he brought. I said that is fine and I agreed to being charged only $160 for the diagnostic check.

John went to this Tesla and sat inside and wrote a report of the service he provided. He then drove off. I never saw what he wrote at that time. Later on, I received an invoice on email and it stated that I was charged $160 for the diagnostic check and $200 for the starter replacement. I never received a starter replacement. This is a fraudulent charge.

On October 8th, 2024 I called Wrench again after calling a few times in the week since September 25th. On October 8th, Manuel one of the representatives from Wrench took my call. I told Manuel everything and he stated that he will reach out to the mechanic John to find out a few more information.

Manuel called me back and stated that John the mechanic told him that he replaced my starter and that I provided him the starter, that he didn't come with a new starter to my house. Manuel did not resolve the issue, instead Manuel believed the mechanic over me and told me the charge of $200 will stick.

This is the biggest lie and I had a family member witnessed everything that morning when John was present, the family member saw that the starter was never replaced by John.

Wrench, your company is unethical and this is coming from a military veteran who served 7 honorable years. Your mechanic John is a liar and has no integrity whatsoever.

You scammed me $200 out of my money. Your mechanic never replaced my starter, he only did a diagnostic check.

I will never seek out any mechanic service from your company ever again.

I gave you 1 star because of this. Though, I wish there was a half a star because the service I received deserves half a star.

Please never use this company

Please never use this company, the technician (Jonathan) never showed up for his first appointment and neither for the second, he made a false report with false photos and a false license plate of another car, they charged me 160 dollars for a diagnosis that they never made, when I called the escalation team to file a claim they didn't even pay attention to me.
What a frustrating, unpleasant and disastrous company.

Wrench service SUCKS.

I needed work on my BMW. Wrench never shown up to do anything. I've been waiting around for over 2 weeks, and I even took off from work 1 day. They rescheduled my appointment 4 times. I could have my car in another shop and had it back by now.
I would NEVER use this service. Big waste of time.

Charged for Services not Rendered

Abhorrent service and unprofessional behavior. I’ve had three appointments cancelled by them without the decency of even being notified. The third time, I canceled the service with them completely. The mechanic wouldn’t take my call and their customer service is useless, just like their app which doesn’t work. If a company has shattered your trust to the point where you feel you need to contact your bank to get your money back that you were charged for services not rendered, you need to look elsewhere.

Mechanic does not know cars

Mechanic was 6 hours late. Did not have enough experience to diagnose a car, so we paid $160 for someone to come to our house, open the car, and say "yeah that car has something wrong with it" and never heard from him again. Did not receive a diagnostic or anything even remotely helpful. Pure theft. Avoid them like the plague.
