Our company is going through some transformational changes and growth as we take on additional work. This required a review of all our staffing and HR processes. I've had the privilege of knowing Richard Crooks for almost 7 years. My business was looking for some one off support in updating all of our HR documents to ensure we were compliant with current regulations. Before being recommended Wright People, we'd spoken to another HR advisory company who told us it wasn't possible to do a one off set of updates, and said the only way we could obtain a service like that would be to go to a Solicitor.

After being recommended Wright People HR by our accountant, I had reached out to Richard. He very quickly responded to my email, and within a day we were on a teams call discussing the business requirements. Immediately I felt at ease when speaking to Richard - he listened to our business needs, was genuine, and seemed like someone you could trust... not at all 'salesy' like the previous HR company I'd interacted with. After our call Richard provided me with a quote for the scope of work - we were pleasantly surprised, as the cost was great value for money, we felt in such safe hands, and quickly agreed to progress.

Shortly after that, I was introduced to Elizabeth; a HR specialist, who was our main contact throughout the process of updating of our HR policies & documents. Elizabeth was very proactive, attentive, and friendly. Elizabeth was very knowledgeable, she helped us tailor the wording within our policies to make it most relevant to our business, as well as suggesting which policies we did and didn't need to have. Throughout the process Elizabeth was consistently flexible, as there were some delays from our side, however she was always understanding & pleasant, and worked around our schedule.

From start to finish, myself & my team had an absolutely stellar experience, absolutely couldn't fault a thing. Wright People were the perfect fit for our SME business, and we genuinely look forward to working with Elizabeth & Richard at Wright People in the near future :)

Wright People HR have successfully completed a significant internal piece of work for us at the Trust. Working collaboratively with Rich and the team, we have built a performance management framework that is underpinned by behaviours. LFI is a family-owned UK manufacturer of ladders and steps, based in Gloucestershire and has seen some significant growth over past few years as they develop new products and expand into new markets. I thoroughly enjoyed our session with Helen and Elizabeth which was around ‘delivering effective feedback’. All the techniques learnt in the session are being implemented in the work place and are having a positive effect. Having made the unfortunate decision that we were going to have to make someone redundant due to the pandemic, I wanted to make sure everything was done correctly. Redundancy is never a nice circumstance, but Helen made the whole experience as good as it could be, from writing the initial letters, to running the meeting with my employee and follow up phone calls to him to see is he had any further questions once it had all sunk in. I had not thought of using DISC profiling to identify the behaviours I would be looking for in the candidates, but Helen showed me the benefits of DISC profiling the candidates to see how good a fit they would be within my business. The DISC profiles became an integral part of the process.

Helen organised and ran the interview process, incorporating initial zoom interviews, then face to face second interviews before we were able to choose the successful candidate.

We have recently used Helen from Wright People to help us with the onboarding of 2 new employees in our electrical contracting business. We were originally going to use a larger HR consultancy but after speaking with Helen we were really impressed with her knowledge, passion and bespoke creative ideas that she suggested, so decided to go with them instead. They have helped us in creating the basics like contracts, staff handbooks and offer letters, but also suggested and drafted a new organisational structure, roles and responsibilities and appraisal structure.
