Would recommend to be VERY cautious when dealing with this company. It looks like they don't care too much about their translators.

We are rather surprised by your account of events, Dmitry, as it bears little resemblance to what actually happened.
For the sake of clarity, we simply asked whether you were available for a potential assignment. We never asked you to translate the document, never instructed you to begin work, and never commissioned the translation. No work was requested, and no payment was withheld.
Turning a straightforward availability enquiry into an accusation of unpaid work is quite a remarkable interpretation of events. Misunderstandings happen, of course. What is less understandable is publicly blaming others for a misunderstanding without first checking whether your own assumptions were correct.
There is also a certain irony in seeing such strong statements about professionalism and integrity published under a name other than your own. If one intends to lecture others about professional conduct, transparency and accountability would seem like reasonable places to start.
We take our relationships with translators seriously and are always prepared to acknowledge genuine mistakes. However, we cannot accept responsibility for work we never commissioned, nor for conclusions drawn without confirmation.
Dmitry, we invite you to review the correspondence carefully. The distinction between asking whether someone is available and actually commissioning their work is not a complicated one.
The written record speaks for itself, and we trust that anyone reading it will be able to draw their own conclusions.
