I instructed Christopher McCourt on a direct access basis and can honestly say it was one of the best decisions I made throughout my case.

I have used many direct access barristers and are absolutely shocked by the performance of one of their barristers. My review contained the name of this awful barrister, but *Trustpilot have received a complaint from 1 kings bench walk as the barrister does not appear to want to be named.* It appears that 1 kings bench walk are attempting to avoid identifying the barrister who offered this terrible service. I find this very odd indeed. Why on earth if you are running a transparent business which identifies and promoted individual barristers on their website would you not want the barrister to be named.... Spent over £20,000 with him. Made a dogs dinner of my case. Failing to address important information in my case. Failing to respond to emails, doesn’t answer a direct question, fails to pick up on important case points supplied to him. Had to use documents from the other side causing confusion to the judge. Judge described his statements as 'It is absurd’ and ‘I am not fooled by this’. Missed out on important information in cross examination. He very strangely asked me for a tie for day two of the trial and to do his tie up for him. Very unprofessional. He even lost my personal case documents. I can only find one review of him on 1 kings bench walk chambers trumping him up. A messy barrister. The case is now continuing without him. I wish someone like myself had written a review so I was aware of what I was getting myself involved with him.
