Great gym, however limited classes are a let down
Great gym and convenient distance, however real shame about new class timetable. No variety or much classes. Dont know why they had to transform the whole studio to hyrox when they could have left half to be able to put on classes besides strength such as yoga and pilates to accomodate different people. Only gym in cannock to have such limited timetable
24/7 Fitness - Hagley Road (Initial Day Passes & Now Full Member Review)
I almost didn't want to review this gym at 5 stars lol because of how peaceful it currently is (we must keep it a secret). However, when you get good guy's like Chris & Alec working in there, then it simply has to be done. Right, let's get onto the gym itself (as it currently is now, refurbishment pending soon) car parking, changing rooms, equipment, facilities itself etc. The car park (lower & upper levels) ample parking, touch screen to register your vehicle registration on each time that you attend just after going through the inbound turnstile. Very simple & straightforward point of entry, download the 24/7 fitness app, ideally prior to arrival, open the app and simply scan the QR code on the left wall prior to entering the turnstiles - simple process. The water refilling station is spot on! Simple tap designed for small to medium sized bottle filling. WI-FI gym member login details on the wall just after walking through the turnstiles, adjacent to the reception desk. One thing of many that I like about this gym is that you don't have to repeatedly and annoyingly sign into the member WI-FI each day as you do with The Gym Group for example. It will automatically login each time that you attend from the moment that you walk through the door. Just to give people an idea of what type of gym this is. The only way that I can describe it is a little bit like the old/original styled Emporium Gym on Tyburn Road. It's not a high end/posh health club and neither should it be. This gym has more going for it than that, and it's unique character stands out. It's an environment that I personally find very motivating but it still at the same time attracts friendly members. I've felt nothing but welcome by many of the other gym members to date. The male changing room is clean and tidy (I can't comment on the females changing rooms and the female only gym area for the obvious reason of me being a chap). Saunas are there. I believe each sauna for each gender to each changing rooms, not mixed. I do believe that they're currently in working order as I enquired about this with Chris & also confirmed this with a member in the male changing room that kindly directed me to them. I haven't personally tried them yet, but it's on the agenda. Ample gym equipment across the lower and upper floors, even a punching bag etc, so something for everyone. Me personally, I'm well impressed and feel that it fairly reflects the price of the membership cost. In terms of what I've observed in terms of faulty equipment - X1 leg press machine and I do believe another piece of leg equipment - out of order signage clearly displayed. I'm sure that the gym management team are on top of it and that they'll be repaired soon. Overall, I highly recommend this place to others considering joining. Another big plus point is that 24/7 Fitness do offer 1, 7 and 30 day passes at reasonable prices, suitable to your preferences and requirements.
Update - 18/03/2026: The end product of the refurb looks amazing guys! plenty of brand new equipment and extra extended areas such as the previous womens only area now filled with new equipment which all members (Male and Female) can use.
This review has been moved over from Google reviews to here on Trustpilot due to Google shadow/coward removing this review on their platform as well as other various reviews of mine. Google can clearly no longer be trusted. I have lost total confidence In them being an unbiased reviewing platform. My MP has been advised of all documented reviews of mine being shadow removed. I would recommend others to do the same as me, advise your MP and use a different reviewing platform. The Google moderators must think that I don't log out to check my reviews of which ones have been removed from the public view and which ones are still online.
Decent gym
I have been a member of this gym for a few years. Overall a really good gym with the following points:
Positives
Plenty of machines, free weights and equipment. Rarely am I waiting to get on something I want, whilst also being spacious and don’t feel like your working out on top of someone else.
Good variety of equipment and laid out very well between weights, cardio and functional training.
Friendly and helpful staff.
Clean and tidy gym.
Great value for money.
Any broken equipment is usually fixed in a reasonable time.
Plenty of lockers and big changing room.
Great for parking.
Negatives
Lighting in changing rooms is awful. I struggle to see into my gym bag to find things.
Showers are not the best.
Neon lighting in the gym can be a bit much sometimes.
Maybe it’s because it’s just after Christmas but there does seem to be quite a few pieces of equipment broken and needing fixing at the minute. hopefully this will happen soon.
Overall would recommend this gym.
1 improvement I would like, please can you get a flat bench press machine? 👍🏻
The Gym is Falling Apart
most treadmills out of order, equipment rarely maintained and old fashioned. When something is out of order your talking months until its fixed and to top it off theres no hot water either now, please save this gym.
Unfortunately this gym is falling apart and needs money spending on it. see more members but no investment. Also sad to see the disability lift out of order so they've covered it up with a bodge job piece of wood and painted it to match to wall to hide it. Do not sign up here if you want a basic gym experience at least.

To expencive for what you get.
I guess you need some sort of benchmark before you give a review. Though I note quite a few 5 star it's never going to be as good as the gym across the road or the one at Port Solent so these things have to be in context to be fare and a review should be balanced.
I have been a member for the last two years but I'm not going to renew and here is why. I have some niggles that with a reasonable price I could overlook but at the current cost for what you get it's just not good value. I read a review somewhere where the person called it a "spit and sawdust gym" which I think hits the nail on the head, basic, bit dirty but has everthing most gym goers need. If you don't notice how grubby and tired it is then then you should be happy. As an operations manager for retail stores maybe I just notice these things which for many are not really a problem. The changing rooms are a discrace though and I can't bring myself use them any more. Just to dirty and I got fed up by female cleaners just walking in unannounced. Floor needs a good scrub and the loos are a health hazard but and when I have had to use them they have been a bit smelly. Locker doors are missing and hanging off with many broken so you can't lock your stuff away. Not sure about the female changing room. I guess they don't have men wander in and quite right too.
The equipment all looks very old though gets repaired quickly when broken. Seems mostly geared towards weight training but other equipment is available and normaly in good working order It's never to busy when I go and I can genuinely do what I want to do which is good but I'm not sure about peak times Old wlequipment but you can do what you want to do and after all that's why you go to the gym.
The place has staff because I have seen them but in the two years I have been going I don't think they have ever acknowledge me but you can make of that what you will. To be fair I have seen then being friendly with other customers so maybe it's me.
From the minuite you see the building (I remember back in the day when in belonged to another gym company) it screames run down and needs some tlc and nothing like the old days.
All that said if it's local to you it's worth a look, personally I think it's now overpriced for what it is but it will be intresting to joint another local comparable gym that is more moden and cheaper to see the difference. At the right price I would have put up with what I think are negative points, maybe I expect to much, I'm sure it will suite some people as it's got some good reviews. Parking is good, the place has just had a lick of paint which shocked me and they also have a new juice bar which I note today also has a coffee machine.
One last point, try using the hand gel, however little you put on your hands you can't get rid of the stuff. I'm not complaining I think it's funny. Just says it all about the cheap cheap running of the place.
Hateful owner
I was horrified to hear one of the owners accuse somebody of being “creepy” in the gym, when all the person in question has done is write a post on social media asking if a certain woman who also attends 24/7 fitness, is also on social media, in the post it’s nothing but respect but your owner absolutely went totally overboard. The owner of this gym was completely out of order how she jumped to conclusions without knowing any of the facts, and to accuse somebody of being “creepy” when there is absolutely no evidence is disgraceful behaviour! The owners name is Sarah Chivers and whilst she is still associated with your gym, both myself and a team of others aren’t going to stop until all those who attend the gym know how the owners treat those who attend the gym!

I’ve been training at 24/7 since early 2022, absolutely fantastic place to train. A great range of equipment, really clean and tidy place, the staff are really kind and always welcoming and it shows in the culture of the place, everyone who trains there is courteous and respectful, the way every gym should be!

Dismal all-round service
Faced discrimination from use of their gym
Their equipment was never maintained
Had closed randomly with no warning and never reimbursed any monies
Accessible lift was never in use
Minimal working showers with no privacy
Poor customer service

Rude email and staff
I recently received an email from 24/7 Fitness that I found incredibly rude, inappropriate, and insulting. The email opens with the line: “Look, we’re not mad. Just… disappointed.” and continues with “You need to be better than your excuses.” This kind of messaging is unnecessarily patronising and guilt-tripping not the kind of motivation I, or many others, appreciate or respond well to. Suggesting that people are simply making “excuses” shows a complete lack of understanding, empathy, or professionalism, especially coming from a business that should be encouraging and inclusive.
My in person experience was no better. I visited this gym only once, having signed up specifically because it advertised a women’s only section something very important to me. However, when I arrived, I discovered that this section did not exist. I approached a staff member to ask about it, and her response was shockingly dismissive. She literally shrugged at me and walked away without saying a word. No explanation, just complete indifference.
Between the misleading advertising, the rude staff, and now this tone-deaf email, I have no intention of returning to 24/7 Fitness. I sincerely hope the company reflects on the kind of language and experience they’re offering their customers and does much better in the future.

Bog standard
The gym is spread out which is good but not enough mats at the Sheffield site. When someone’s boxing there is little room. Also feels quite unclean other than the changing rooms. The machines need hygiene cleaning more often. Music is also boring

Pretty decent gym
Staff were amazing gym equipment is pretty good but it can be too busy sometimes which I know is an annoying complaint and nothing they can do about it but it’s my only complaint.

I paid for my membership on 8th April 2025 and was assured access would be granted. The app confirmed my membership was active, but I have been unable to enter the gym since. It's now 3 days later, and despite multiple attempts to contact their customer service team, I've received no response or resolution.
Their own Terms & Conditions state that payment may take up to 48 hours to process, but it’s well beyond that timeframe and I’m still locked out. This has disrupted my training and is incredibly frustrating.
I expect better service for the money I’m paying. If you value your time and training, I recommend looking elsewhere.

Very disappointed
Very disappointed. My gym was closed with no notice and despite having paid until April, my emails and contacts have gone unanswered so they have taken three months of money from me without service. Utterly disgusted to be ignored and I would bet they have made a lot of money from those of us who paid annually!
