I have used 42nd Street Photo for years. Their personalize service is EXCELLENT as well as the quality of the photography equipment. They beat the big box prices by hundreds of dollars with no compromise in quality. Who doesn't want to save money? I love that they call you when you place an order to validate your need. I will continue to go to them for my photography equipment. Check their prices you will not be disappointed... I haven't.

Lens is great and have taken many great photos with it. Worked perfectly on my camera.
Had no issues with the sales people or with shipping. And price was very competitive.

B&H is B&H. They are a business that has the greatest collections of Photo/Film gear I have ever seen. People ask, why dont you order off amazon? Well, most of the time, B&H has incredible warrantys and has MANY great bundle deals. I love them so much, and have used them in every film purchase ever.

I purchased a Nikon p900 online. Was given a courtesy call just before it was shipped to let me have a update on the process ( the morning after I ordered it. It was ordered at 3am . By 10 am I received the call) . Shipping took a few days less than expected. And the product has operated flawlessly. I have no complaints.

My experience so far has been pretty good. I bought a Canon Mark II at a good price and the warranty proved to be good as well.

Wow wish I had read some of these negative reviews before being drawn in by the bait price on a new Nikon D850. The bait and upselling reported elsewhere was full on, really have never experienced anything like it before. Feel used and a bit of an fool that I ended up with the worst deal ever as a result and would have been much cheaper to buy just what I needed from a reputable company.
The sales guy oversold a package which included a number of so called 'quality items' that you later find are cheap end items and the package ends up far higher than you started out having been drawn in by the advertised price online. The import model tale was trotted out and price inflated for non import (assumed that means not grey import) model but then you are in conversation and prices are not mentioned, package components proposed are not given itemised prices, everything bundled and then you cannot cancel elements.
I tried to find all the items after on their website and they worked out at least the same as if bought individually!! Some package! Cancellation is made ridiculously difficult, 20% restocking fee threatened even when the package had not been dispatched (and frankly I'm sure hadn't even been assembled). As an example a 'high speed SD' card in the package was later found to have added over $500, and it is not one that is a recognised make. In fact I have found later it is a bogus item which does not even meet the advertised specification, no wonder that 42nd St photo are the only supplier. When the package arrived the camera was in a previously opened kit box with the kit lens removed and looks like a return, which gives no confidence as to origin. When queried I was told these cameras were just not available so I was lucky to get one although they were in stock with lots of companies by that time.
The Black Rapid strap I ordered had a different standard strap substituted. I was later given a 'Black Rapid' strap that is in fact a cheap knock off that has fallen apart in a couple of months.
All in all I'm embarrassed to admit I ended up going through with the transaction despite many reservations and I still regret it.
In the UK I'd go to the consumer standards office as items are not as described and the whole selling process is laced with untruths.
BUY ANYTHING HERE WITH THE GREATEST CAUTION AND CLARITY OR YOU TOO WILL HAVE REGRETS

Excellent Service. I was pleasantly surprised to be called asking about if we want the item to require a signature and then offered the survey to receive an extra battery. What a great job guys!

This was my first experience with 42ND Street Photo and it was excellent. The selection and prices are great. The representative called to be sure we had the best version of lens for our camera. I was very pleased to receive the following day. Their customer service is super!

Service is excellent. They called me to review my order.
Discussed what was best for my needs and to make sure I had everything I needed. Shipping in a timely manner per my instructions. They followed up with a phone call to make sure everything was as expected.

My purchase of a Nikon D850 was a major upgrade in terms of capabilities and expense. The latter factor gave me some anxiety, but my discussion with Michael was both instructive and confidence building. Wildlife photography is my hobby and not my profession, so I did have some initial reservations on making, for me, such a large investment. The camera arrived as scheduled and so far I have been very pleased with its performance. Will I go back to 42nd Street Photo in the future? Definitely!!!

I was in the market for my first camera and after a few months of research I decided I'll get the EOS Rebel T7i EF-S 18-55mm IS STM Lens Kit, I compared prices online and found that 42nd Street Photo had the best price & also had good reviews, so I made the purchase and it arrived in less than a week, it was packaged very well and after over two months of having my camera I have no regrets with my purchase and definitely recommend 42nd Street Photo.

Purchased a new Nikon P900 from 42nd street photo. Excellent service. Very happy with this camera. Everyone should have one of these along with their choice of another regular camera. That telephoto is amazing! What is not emphasized enough is the Nikon VR (vibration reduction). I took a handheld photo outside my front door one night of the Moon. Did not expect much. The photo I printed from it was sharp and just gorgeous! I could not believe it. And I did not even have the telephoto all the way to 2,000 mm. You can take closeup photos of wild animals and birds without even being close to them. Just an amazing camera!

I was going to buy a camera and a lens. Something seemed wrong, so I called them. And I found out that the delivery date was not as it said on the invoice 3-6 days, but 4-6 weeks, because it's an international shipping. I asked why then they are giving wrong information on their website, and the answer was that information just isn't updated. The delivery date was very important for me, because I'm not staying in USA that long.

Went in to buy a Nikon DSLR last week, was clearly dealing with the proprietor. Online price $619, but ended up paying $762 apparently "Online price didn't apply" oh - and he added sales tax, you could argue he saw me coming but frankly was too busy to bother arguing, threw in some worthless lens cleaning tat and supplied in the wrong box ( bundled box )
Transaction was polite enough but still feels like I was shafted.
Be careful when dealing with these guys.

I boughtt a Sony RX100 Mark V from 42nd Street Photo, and got a very attractive price for the camera; much lower than what was available from other vendorsat the time. It turned out to be from Jpan, but I was able to download and install a fir ware fix that removed the restrictions on full capability that came with the camera. I truly enjoyed shooting with the camera until it was stolen in Paris, France.

My experience with 42nd Street Photo was easy and quick; the salesman was quite knowledgeable, and I got a great price. I would definitely buy from them again when I shop for high-end cameras or lenses.

I have obtained a couple of Tamaron lenses from 42nd Street Photo. My six hundred mm lenses meets my photographic needs. I ordered this product on line and was contacted shortly after by their staff to ensure that I was obtaining what I needed. As a result I obtained the correct filters to ensure they matched the quality of the lens. The price was great! The service was excellent!

I was looking for Canon EOS-5D Mark III 22.3 Megapixel Digital Camera all over; 42nd Street Photo had them. I called them and they treated me with curtsy and professionalism. The Product price was lower then other competitors. I received my product and I used it on two different projects and i am well satisfied with 42nd Street and the product. I would recommend this place for your total camera needs, and as i mentioned above, the staff will treat you with curtsy and professionalism.
