Information provided by various external sources

From Autumn 2017 The Kilt Store and Kilt Hire Co will be known as Eight Yards. We will describe ourselves as providers of Scottish Menswear. To do this we need to set ourselves apart from the more throwaway, lesser quality offers that now crowd our market. And we need to continue to attract new, loyal customers across generations. Having lifelong customers is really important for keeping our business strong. We already value the craft that goes into the menswear we sell and we work hard to make sure that our style and range is modern and relevant. Our new name and brand builds on these great qualities, allowing us to extend beyond kilt hire, to communicate more of our personality, the range we offer and the value of the service we provide. The descriptor Scottish Menswear. Explains what we do and includes our core business of Kilt sales and hire, without excluding the rest of our range. We are Eight Yards. We have created Eight Yards for men of all ages who appreciate quality, tradition and craft. Like us, our customers refuse to be stuck in the past. Instead we choose to wear modern Scottish menswear with timeless, sartorial style. L I FELONG CUSTOMERS For reputation and longevity CRAF T For quality and timeless value. MODERNI TY For style and business strength ST YLE In what we bring and how we deliver it Wear with pride Our customers look to us for guidance on what to wear — and how to wear it. Our staff are the epitome of our brand come to life. If you’ve suggestions for improvements to uniforms, a little twist or tweak to add that shows how we’re leaders of the style game, go for it. We ask only that you dress to impress — and wear with pride.

Never again

Ordered & paid for a Harris Tweed bag. Money taken, confirmation email received.
I thought great gift sorted. Then I receive an email advising that the website should not have allowed the sale to go through.
I was advised no alternative however days following the bag is still available to buy again

Very nice tie

Very nice tie, made in Scotland and delivered promptly. The business is actually relatively local to me, though I didn't realise that when I ordered, and I do like to support local businesses.

The collar is really good

The collar is really good, especially the Harris Tweed. The downside to the collar is the first two of the eyelets have come off.
To be fair, Oscar does try to pull your arm off, so perhaps this was going to happen.

Was treated really well by the team at Musselburgh and welcomed as a valued customer. Kevin is extremely knowledgeable and it's why I am a regular returning customer. Have hired, purchased an outfit and latterly a new kilt. Wouldn't go anywhere else.
