Great experience and service provides by Steve and his staff over the past few days. My car had broken down and it was taken to A1 Clutches to replace the clutch. I was notified that the gearbox was also not working properly and it would be advisable to get this fixed soon. I decided to have both clutch and gearbox replaced, to avoid the car breaking down again.
They fixed the clutch and gearbox so quickly and I am happy with the service provided by Steve and his staff, they not only repaired my car quite quick but the price was reasonable too. Thank you Steve and A1 Crew for doing an ace job on my car.

I have a 15 year old Picanto - it was getting tough to change gears at times - I thought it was the gearbox - took it in the A1 Clutches - they said probably needs a new clutch, gearbox has life in it still.

With new clutch installed the car drives so much better.

Recently had my clutch done just under a month go and everything still feels fantastic with the car. They excelent service and had everything finished with within a day would highly recommend using them.

Obscure misleading invoice, dishonest company taken my vehicle in with gears issues, I was charged £500 for some £25 cables , and 2/3 hours fitting. Collected the car , same issues still present, oil stains over my seat , and start/stop system stopped working. Placed a complaint to the head office in Tipton but I was accused in lying about the oil on my seat, the bad attitude of the demented guy that convinced himself to be great and apparently supplying an accurate detailed invoice is a breach of national security . I ended up having the car fixed at a professional capable garage . A1 should be renamed Z23, they damaged the cables during the fitting / the stop/start system was disconnected or damaged , ( now working again ). I decided to report the company to the trading standards 🙃

Super service, customer focused, very helpful staff. Steve was very helpful. Would highly recommend. Much cheaper than your local garage.

Told me and my partner my 107 needed a clutch turns out it had a copy actuator which they knew was the issue but was charged for a new clutch for my car to breakdown two minutes after collecting then told by a mobile mechanic who knows them very well that they have charged me knowing full well it wasn’t the problem. I have applied for a charge back through my bank and advising everybody to avoid them as they are Cowboys…

A1 Clutches replaced the clutch in my Toyota Yaris. Excellent job. Clean, efficient and reception had a really good attitude.

Once again, A1 sorted our problem! My daughters Punto needed gear linkages replaced, they came and collected the car and got the job done as soon as they could. Always helpful and polite, and can be relied on to turn up when they say they will(even when it interferes with the school run!)and get work done on time and always satisfactorily. Second time we’ve used A1, definitely won’t be the last!👍

Towed in by AA with suspected broken clutch, which turned out to be a broken drive shaft. They fixed it by next day at a very reasonable price. I cannot praise enough the helpfulness and professionalism of this company. I would recommend them without hesitation.

A1 Clutches are fantastic! My clutch went earlier this month (July 25) and they did a same day replacement. Everyone I spoke to was friendly, the service was smooth and efficient and my car is driving like a dream. I heartily recommend.

Phoned a really helpful guy named Steve. He gave me a quote, took the car on 24/07/25. Clutch and cable were replaced in less than 24 hours. I just picked the car up as of 4pm on 25/07/25.
Excellent service and a two year 18,000 miles warranty. Hats off to the guys at A1 Clutches!

I phoned up on a bank holiday weekend as the clutch had gone on my car and they were more than happy to help. The staff were lovely and made me feel very comfortable as a young girl with car trouble going to the mechanics lol. They fixed my car very quickly. I'd definitely recommend.

A1 Birmingham were able to offer an appointment at short notice and replace clutch and front brake pads at around half the cost quoted by the dealership. Really easy to deal with, efficient, friendly and effective. My car is driving smoothly again 👍🏼

Excellent from first phone call to get new clutch on car as my clutch was on the way out!!. Very helpful, friendly and knowledgeable and even had car back on same day!!
