Amazing service from hayley and jack! From the start hayley has always been so helpful in keeping me updated! They have both helped me get my car back on Friday instead of waiting till Monday! I can't thank hayley enough, she was never rude, always listened and was always happy and helpful! A great team and hopefully in the nicest way I won't need them again

We bought a van in February and now the turbo has gone.
What a surprise we are not covered they seem to be happy to take your money but looking at reviews very rarely pay or contribute to any repairs. Always some sort of loophole.
My question is for Jack who will I’m sure comment on my review how many customers do you actually help compared to how many you don’t
UPDATE
My vehicle is a works vehicle and as a brand new start up company I took out the insurance in good faith, I have since had to have the repairs completed at a cost of £2,500.
I did contact Ford but they could not look at the vehicle until December so I am not in a position to wait that long being self employed.
And you are correct I am an unhappy customer as I’m sure you would be having to pay £2,500 to have your vehicle road worthy again.
I still stand by my original
post should have saved my money and not taken out the insurance

I would not recommend this company for warranty ! First of all not all garages accept them and secondly they do everything in their power to get out of fixing faults , I paid two warranties in full with no claims and only 5 months in and asked for refund which they refused. This was on the back of the warranty my son had and had a problem with gearbox to which they said I would have to get gearbox removed and if it was due to wear and tear ( even though you take this out in event of any faults)this would not be covered and I would have been out of pocket for the garages time .
They are unhelpful even though they try to make it look as though they are being helpful when all they are looking at is ways of getting out of paying . I cancelled my sons as was monthly but paid about £600 for my both other cars and refused refund . Avoid at all costs and save your money .
I was asked to take car to approved garage which I did. ,I do t understand why an engineer would be called out ? Why didn’t just send engineer in first place ? Would have saved the bother , also the pump was on a previous car which I had bother getting fixed also batting back and forth because the warranty had just been renewed and you wanted to see who the warranty was bought from ? Does it matter ? It’s still covered no matter if it was from garage or ourselves ?
This is what I mean the company try to get out of repairing .

I purchased an Audi A3 from Hippo Motor Group about five months ago and initially received a three-month warranty as part of the purchase. When this expired, I was contacted by Hippo with marketing calls suggesting I extend the warranty, as it could be beneficial if anything went wrong. Based on this advice, I opted to pay £50 per month for the extended warranty, assuming I’d have peace of mind.
Two weeks ago, a warning light came on my dashboard indicating an "Emergency SoS System Failure." I immediately contacted the warranty provider, who advised me to take the car to an Audi or German car specialist. I followed their recommendation and brought it to a local Audi specialist, who was helpful and identified that the issue required a new aerial to resolve the problem. However, once the work had started, I was shocked to learn that the warranty would only cover £182 out of the £515 repair cost.
When I raised my concerns with Hippo, a representative, Niamh, kindly explained the situation, but I was informed that "connection fees, diagnostic costs, and consumables" were not covered and that the maximum labor rate the warranty would pay was limited to £50 plus VAT. None of this information was made clear to me at the time of purchasing the warranty. Had I known these details, I would have reconsidered paying £50 monthly.
Overall, I feel this warranty is misleading and offers poor value. I will be canceling it immediately, as it does not provide the peace of mind it promises. I’m also disappointed with Hippo Motor Group for failing to provide transparent information about the coverage limits. I expected better from a reputable company, and I hope this review helps others make an informed decision.

The Warranty Company were very understanding about a couple of issues I had with the car I had bought 12 days ago when I took the car to BMW for an Airbag recall and BMW highlighted a couple of issues. A1 Warranty were happy to help in sorting the repairs out and cost at my local garage and it was all fixed. Thank you very much for all your help in this situation I found myself in. Kind Regards Stephen Kendall.

We are a repairing garage (Enterprise Motors 2004 Ltd) and we have found A1 Approved excellent to deal with and extremely quick with their response. I have had dealings with a lovely young lady called Hayley who was both very efficient and very polite.

Shocking. I purchased a car which had a warranty from A1 Approved. Car had a faulty clutch. They initially told me I didn't need to worry, and that they're 'not like other warranty companies', they quibbled about paying for the required repairs, offering HALF of the cost of the repairs. It's been incredibly stressful to say the least. As their reply states they did eventually pay for the repairs, but it was a battle to say the least!

Absolutely Useless!!! Avoid at all costs they will try and wriggle out of everything blaming everyone but themselves.
Absolutely disgusting service

Excellent service, friendly, precise and thorough. The chap Ben who dealt with the renewal for both my vehicle and my partners, was a pleasure to deal with. He put together a great and fair deal in order for us to proceed. As with any insurance/warranty peace of mind is key, our minds are at peace with the warranty extension for both our vehicles. Well done Ben and your firm A1 Approved

I was expecting reluctance and a time consuming experience from A1 to cover repair costs when my car developed various faults shortly after buying it, but reimbursement was almost instantaneous! A very positive and professional company whom I wholeheartedly recommend.

After purchasing a car, I got three months warranty from the garage. I got a fault message saying TRANSMISSION FAULTY on the dashboard, I had it diagnosed, and was told it was the haldex unit bearings. I spoke to someone at A1 who told me it was covered and that they were happy to use a second hand unit to reduce cost. The garage was reluctant to deal with them, but did ring them and was told (unbeknown to me) that the unit wasn't covered. After picking up the vehicle when the replacement unit was fitted, I rang them, to be told it wasn't covered as it 'WASN'T PART OF THE TRANSMISSION' and wasn't covered! It's between the gearbox and the diff, how can that not be part of the transmission? (In my 50 years as a mechanic, I've been misled)
They write the rules to suit themselves, and apparently, redesign vehicles as well!
Absolute rubbish, stay well clear, there are better companies out there!
Following your reply;
Play on words springs to mind!
There is no mention of fluid operated transmission units in the warranty document, however, it does mention transmission bearings, which was the fault. When my information comes on telling me 'transmission fault' I believe it to be so, land rover can't be wrong!
Your operator did give me the impression it would be covered, I do not lie! She said using a second hand unit would be preferred to save cost!!
Don't bother twisting the facts any further, I have paid for the work, and your reviews speak for themselves, but I'm not sure about the validity of the 5 star, as has been already commented!

Getting my claim sorted under the warranty was easy and completely pain free. I was able to get through and talk to a knowledgeable and friendly agent, who quickly shared with me what I needed information I needed to provide.

JUST A MONEY GRABBING COMPANY!! I wouldn’t recommend paying monthly just save your own money in a savings account for your car repairs they lure you in by sending you a spreadsheet of everything that’s covered and claim you get Up to £1000 per claim with a £25 excess however, an engine component (sensor) Of my vehicle was faulty which they said they cover on the sheet. I paid for the diag for my eml light Which they also dont cover and the total bill excluding daig was around £250 for parts and labour and they ONLY authorised to pay £90.92 ! And they don’t pay The backstreet garage themselves they want you to pay for it and then they claim that they will pay you back after you sent all the proof, they ask you to invoice it out to their company name even though you’re paying for it so it looks like they’ve paid it out. what they’ve authorised to pay is a around the price to the sensor alone but they won’t pay full price out because they claim they found the part for 76.60 on ‘motor factors’ which is a very vague company description they don’t even send a link to help you find the part either way there is no such company for that part/price in my area. This warranty is all a joke and false advertising over the phone to get you to get a policy And when you’re trying to claim you have to consistently call up they will claim that they will call you back shortly and they don’t You have to keep calling Up yourself to chase up your claim just for you to end up waiting hours for them to authorise only a quarter of the price it’s a joke. I wouldn’t recommend it at all. Just save your money and hope for the best.
—Update—
It said in my booklet that you sent me that it was covered. You also didn’t contribute anything towards my repair at all, the garage I bought my car from contributed out of a goodwill, not you.
Bought my car from a garage who supplied a1 cover. In the 6 months I only had one problem and that was my rear brake calliper wasn’t working at all. After getting in touch they said that callipers were covered (great, really happy). Not too long later they get back in touch with me after speaking to the garage to say that the calliper wouldn’t be covered and they would not contribute towards it at all as it wasn’t classed as faulty. I personally feel like this is a useless warranty provider who will play on the wordplay of garages to not pay out.
Now I am getting messages saying that my warranty is ending and I should pay for extended warranty! As if I’m going to give this company anymore money just for them to fob me off if I ever have any problems. I will reject any form of warranty going forward on new cars if they are covered by a1 approved.
