abc ivf - St Albans Reviews 

After a failed cycle at another clinic we decided to move to ABC/create following the information webinars which were more then just sales pitches!
I felt in very safe hands through my whole cycle. The team on the phones genuinely care and show an interest, shout out to Becca & Liberty.
I was able to see the same nurse throughout my whole cycle who has been simply amazing big shout out to Deidre @ St Albans.
My egg collection experience was so much better then at my previous clinic. Thankyou to everyone at Wimbledon for looking after me!
Mild ivf works, I had less drugs, monitored much more closely, not restricted to week days only. We have 2 embryos safely in the freezer and the one that’s on board gave us a BFP.

We moved to abc Hertfordshire after being very unimpressed with our first clinic. Abc couldn’t have been more opposite. They didn’t try to up-sell, they genuinely seemed to do what was best for the patient not the business and as a result gained our trust straight away. They maintained that trust with a high level of competence right the way through our treatment and we could not recommend them highly enough.

From the interactions we had with their sister clinic CREATE St. Paul’s, if we had not met the eligibility criteria of abc we would have been more than happy with CREATE having had a good experience with them at both egg collection and embryo transfer.

We recognise we are in the very lucky group for whom the first cycle is successful, currently 7 weeks pregnant, with a day 5 embryo also in the freezer, but we were honestly so impressed with abc even before we had started treatment that I’d already recommended them to a colleague!

I literally having nothing bad to say about this clinic!! Deidre at St Albans was absolutely amazing from the moment I saw her to when she gave us the amazing news we were pregnant after our first round of IVF!!! St. Paul’s who also did the egg collection and transfer were incredible. All staff and communication was great too! Would one million per cent recommended ABC IVF to anyone struggling to conceive.

Easy, friendly, affordable. Great experience at St Albans clinic. Deidre went above and beyond to support us. We had to go to St Paul’s clinic for egg collection and transfer and again very professional and clean. Would highly recommend ABC IVF to anyone who wants to start their journey.

Unfortunately I do not recommend the St Albans clinic due to them being so disorganised.
I started my ivf icsi journey with them this year but then suddenly fell pregnant naturally before I started my medication. All up to this point they were fine just a bit chaotic with the organisation trying to get set up but thankfully the nurse there (Not allowed to say the name otherwise you get them reporting you to Trustpilot) was lovely and that’s why I decided to keep going with this company.
Once I fell pregnant, I then went to my patient co-ordinator (Again, not allowed to say the name otherwise you get them reporting you to Trustpilot) and requested a cancellation of my treatment as I was still in date with the appropriate refunds in my terms and conditions…. Still waiting for my refund 28 days on. I have emailed and rung this company several times and it’s still ongoing where my refund is. I have tried to get hold of the clinic manager and they never answer the telephone.

Something also that’s not talked about a lot with the charges is the risk of OHSS. As a new person in the ivf world, this was another language to me and didn’t realise how high the chances of getting OHSS. This is even more money as you are not allowed to do a fresh transfer but a frozen which isn’t included in your price. When I did a poll online on the girls who had ivf with this company, the poll stood out that a high proportion of women had to do a frozen transfer due to the risk of OHSS. So to anyone reading this review, please keep in mind the extra cost of a frozen transfer as it’s quite a lot of money on top.

Overall my experience with ABC IVF St Albans started off well and has now ended with me constantly battling for my hard earned money back and nobody seems to care. The battle continues.
