I bought a washing machine from ABT not…
I bought a washing machine from ABT not even a year ago. I took the warranty as I wanted to be safe. Recently, my washing machine began to break when it was not running. So I called ABT as one would do with warranty. The first individual came and could not find the issue, was a really kind individual. I called ABT once more as it continued to happen. With a quick google search you can find that it can be the inlet valve or the drain hose! When someone arrived today not only did he ignore me, after I said it leaks when IT IS NOT RUNNING and decided for 20 minutes to just run the machine, but also decided to cuss me out. Really nice company for trying to take advantage of an immigrant women. I will be more than happy to reconsider this review, if ABT holds to their standard but as of right now I would recommend any place other than here for stealing money from people and not upholding their warranty.

I was really hesitant about going there, because I thought I wouldn’t be able to today afford anything there, but I had a wonderful experience at ABT. My salesman (Mr. O’Brien) was great and he helped me in every way that he could though price matching, to get a refrigerator at a price that was right for me.I am very happy with my whirlpool refrigerator. It’s nothing fancy. It keeps my Pepsi cold and my Häagen-Dazs bars frozen. So I’m very happy with my purchase. Would likely recommend. Also, the store is “Beautiful”?
No longer what it used to be.
This company is no longer the bastion of quality and service it once was. I've been purchasing major and minor appliances and media equipment from Abt for more than 26 years, but today was the last straw. I live in Aurora (about 26 miles one-way) to their store, so I always call first to check to ensure the item I want to purchase is in stock. In this case, I wanted to view an LG washer with agitator. I called and spoke to "Kevin" who said he was working from home in appliance sales. I told him the item I was considering--giving him the name and model number from the online description on their website-- and specifically asked, "This item is on your store floor so I can view it, correct?" After a brief pause (2-3 seconds), he said, "Yes, it is on the floor." (I assumed the brief pause was while he checked his computer to see if it was on the floor; now I realize the pause was him deciding whether or not to lie just to get me in the store.) He immediately launched into a sales pitch--telling me I could order over the phone. I told him I needed to see it in person, as there are different styles of agitators (some allow small clothing items to disapper beneath the agitator, and some are flush with the botom of the washer bin). He then launched into "If you buy the dryer, too, you can save an extra $100." This has become my main complaint with Abt: pushy sales people who don't LISTEN to the customer. I once again insisted that I needed to see the item first. Then he said he would be in the store after 12:30 p.m. We agreed that I would meet him there. Before we hung up, he said, "Great. See you soon and you can buy it today."
I drove the 26 miles, asked for Kevin at the customer service desk. A guy said he was "upstairs" and he would go find him. About 10 minutes later, this same guy said, "Kevin will be about five more minutes." Okay. Fine. While I was waiting, I gave the model number of the washer to the customer service agent, and asked him if that model was on the floor, because I didn't see it when I walked in. He said it was not, and that it was not even in stock. Wait. What?!! Clearly Kevin was just hoping to lure me into the store and sell me whatever he thought he might be able to sell me that day.
I drove approx. 70 miles round trip for NOTHING.
Beyond that, while I was perusing the washers when I first entered the store, a sales rep approached me and asked, "Do you need to *buy* a washer today?" I thought that was odd questioning. Maybe, "Do you *need help* with washers today?" would have been more reasonable. BUT, Abt sales people have become such vultures because of, I am assuming, their commission-only status. (And if they are not on commission only ,then why are they such pushy vultures?) The instant I told the guy that I had already talked to "Kevin" earlier in the day, this sales rep literally snorted at me, and whirled around and walked away as he said in a snarky tone "Well, I don't know no 'Kevin.'"
Simiarly, while I was at the CS desk waiting for Kevin, another sales associate approached me and said, "Can I help you wtih something today?" I told him that I had been waiting for "Kevin" but I wasn't sure if he was ever coming. The guy walked away without a word. No, "Glad you are being taken care of," or "Okay," or even a nod. Just quickly walking away.
FInally, on my way out the door (after I learned Kevin had lied to me I had no desire to even buy anything from Abt) yet another sales rep asked, "Are you looking TO PURCHASE an appliance today?" Do they TRAIN these people to be this pushy?
There are so many other retailers that offer the same products at the same prices--AND that can deliver the next day. (Abt is always at least a 1-2 week wait. Admittedly, that is probably because I live in the western 'burbs. Still conveinience matters.) I used to be willing to pay the extra sales tax when purchasing at ABT (they are in Cook county, which has a MUCH higher sales tax than where I live) because of the quality and service. (I have never had any issues with their installers.) Now that the in-store service is gone and sales people have turned into pushy rude robots, there is no reason to go back. Not woth fighting the road contrsuction, the traffic, and the overly aggressive and TOALLY UNHELPFUL sales people. Their sales people only care to speak to you if they think they can make a commission that day.
UPDATE AND RESONSE: I stand 100% by my original comments. IF you are going to lie, at least make it believable. I never said what color I wanted...so how would you know that one "in a different color" was on the floor. FYI: I checked the ENTIRE floor, and there were NO LG washers on the floor with an agitator in the model # I wanted. Do you really think a customer is that stupid that they would know that color makes no difference when it comes to features? Now Abt has resorted to calling customers liars to repair the co's rep.

The two men who delivered and installed…
The two men who delivered and installed our new stove were AMAZING! They were professional, and personable, took great care to ensure no damage to our floors, and were very meticulous about the installation. They cleaned up after themselves and even gave us a 15% credit after noticing a small ding (that I wouldn't have even noticed) in the unit. They definitely went above and beyond what I was expecting!
Wonderful experience
The delivery personnel were right on time per their call. They were very friendly, efficient and professional. A very pleasant experience.
No longer a loyal customer
Purchased from them for years multiple large items. They used to be very customer friendly and willing to negotiate. My most recent order had to pay a crazy delivery fee with installation and recycling and found out later Costco was cheaper. Not very willing to work with customers anymore. Won’t be using them anymore.

Watch your billing and "refund"
Bought an 85" TV with mounting hardware and a new dishwasher from ABT. Less than a week after the purchase, they dropped the price so i called and they said they would lower the price and it would be a refund. The mounting hardware for the TV wasn't needed and they said that would be refunded. They sent an email stating the refunds were processed but that wasn't true. I had to contact them for basically a third time before they did anything. BUYER BEWARE.
My review stands. There haven't been credits applied, ABT sent an email confirming that and there has not been a credit on the TV mounting bracket that wasn't needed and returned unopened.

Have it in Stock and Really Come Through
Because of my kitchen cabinet design and because of the backlog from COVID-19 I could not find a reasonably priced BOSCH dishwasher to replace my failing one. I should have started my appliance search at ABT as I was let down at two other stores and what I ended up with at ABT was cheaper and quicker. Great deal and a great experience at ABT.

I had the unfortunate experience of dealing with ABT, and I must say it was an absolute nightmare. They were supposed to install a refrigerator for me, but it turned into a never-ending saga of disappointment and frustration. After a whopping seven attempts, they still couldn't get it right.
The first time they came, they seemed completely unprepared. The technicians were clueless, and it felt like they were learning on the job. They left my kitchen in a mess and the fridge still wasn't properly installed. I thought, "Okay, maybe it was just a one-time mistake," but boy, was I wrong.
Subsequent attempts were no better. They rescheduled multiple times, causing me to take time off work and disrupt my schedule each time. The second and third visits were just as bad as the first. The level of incompetence displayed by their team was mind-boggling. How hard can it be to install a refrigerator?
The worst part was the lack of communication. They didn't bother to keep me updated on the progress, and I had to chase them down every time to find out what was going on. It's as if they had no respect for my time or my needs as a customer.
By the fifth attempt, I was beyond frustrated. I spoke to their customer service, but it seemed like they didn't really care about my situation. They promised to prioritize my case, but the next two attempts were just as disappointing. It's like they didn't learn anything from their previous mistakes.
At this point, I had had enough. I decided to cut my losses and hire a different company to install the refrigerator. It was a hassle, and I wasted so much time and energy dealing with ABT. I would strongly advise anyone considering their services to think twice. They clearly lack the skills, professionalism, and respect for their customers. My experience with ABT was a total disaster, and I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy.

Alas, the trajectory of my encompassing journey within the realm of ABT experienced a precipitous downturn, a plummet precipitated by the regrettable limitations of their technical cadre.
The inaugural delivery of the refrigerator unveiled unmistakable incongruities. The installation process was marred by a series of vexing tribulations, encompassing a misaligned door and perplexing resonances. It felt as though we were contending with a faulty artefact, fresh from its packaging. This pivotal juncture heralded the inception of a sequence of visits by their technicians, a multiplicity notable in its persistence.
We endured a total of seven instances of technician interventions within the confines of our abode, nurturing a fervent optimism that, at some point, they would effectuate the necessary rectifications. Yet, alas, it culminated in an uninterrupted cycle of disenchantment, as they diligently endeavored to recalibrate diverse components, replacing some in earnest pursuit of a viable solution. On one occasion, an entirely new refrigerator was even introduced into our domicile. Nonetheless, irrespective of the frequency of their exertions, the issues endured with a frustrating and persistent tenacity.
The apparent incapacity of a company to competently install a refrigerator despite subjecting the customer to seven technician visits indeed constitutes a perplexing predicament. The resultant frustration and inconveniences were overtly untenable. We were coerced to reconfigure our schedules, sacrifice valuable work hours, and grapple with the incessant disruptions occasioned by the technicians' recurring domiciliary intrusions.
Even subsequent to this protracted series of interventions, the refrigerator remained obstinately unresponsive, steadfastly declining to align with its intended functionality. The disarray in the door's alignment persisted, and the irksome rattling endured as an unceasing refrain. At this juncture, my faith in ABT's capacity to deliver a product of commendable quality, coupled with proficient technical support, has been irrevocably shaken. The evident dearth of requisite expertise among their technicians to execute even rudimentary installation tasks stands as a glaring indictment.
I would vehemently caution those contemplating a transaction with ABT to exercise prudent circumspection. While the veneer of amiability in their initial customer interactions may possess a certain allure, the palpable void of competence on the technical front constitutes a stark and disconcerting concern. My personal encounter has metamorphosed into a nightmarish tableau, a circumstance I would not wish upon any discerning consumer. I implore you to spare yourself such tribulations and explore alternative avenues that hold in highest regard the fundamental tenets of quality and dependable service.

Orders get cancelled without notice a day after being placed and charged on your credit card. Customer service does not answer the phone. Live Chat is unhelpful and misleading and apparently not even connected to the company. And when you finally do get through via email you get some completely idiotic and asinine scripted explanation of policies. No apologies offered for time wasted. Idiotic suggestions about wiring them funds for the transaction. Don't waste your time.
And as far as their response goes, no one in their right mind is going to pay 20 bucks to wire them funds for a transaction and wait 3 days when one could just go to one of a hundred other companies selling exactly the same thing at the same price. Which I did. Target had no problem with my order. Maybe they should get a 3rd party verification company that actually knows what the hell they're doing and things might get better. Also their response completely ignores that I reached out in response to their order verification email and provided the correct information. And yet... canceled again. Abt is just not worth the time and hassle.

Wanted to upgrade my tv
Wanted to upgrade my tv. Told salesman that tv must integrate with my hearing aid tv adapter. When installing it could not cjonnect. I complained and the salesman requested $187 more to get more parts!! That also did not work AND in the process I lost wifi on my new tv!!!
Service guy suggested I keep my Apple TV since that still had the wifi connection. I have requested the extra $ 187 back, got salesman HAVE A NICE DAY. Stay away from Abt

I explained to him my situation with the A/C, the guy who I hired brought 2 window A/C, instead of inwall A/C. I didn't notice that either, thinking I'm working with a professional. After further explaining to Robert, He was well aware what was wrong with it an concerned. Robert I want to thank you knowledge of A/C.for 24 yrs. I will be purchasing another inwall A/C. later in the future.
