Acer Aspire Vero i7 W11. I'm changing this review from 5 stars to three having now used it for a couple of months. The reason for buying was because W10 was being phased out. The keys lighting up in... See more

Very smooth experience. Easy to navigate and see all offers, and the payment options were also simple and clear, unlike my poor experience with Amazon.

Acer is atrocious
Acer has atrocious product quality standards and the most patronizing customer service. My Aspire 3 laptop, purchased brand new from Target in 2024, started breaking not 10 months after purchase. Whenever I plugged my laptop in to power, it would constantly switch between a status of "charging" and "not charging" even at the slightest twitch of the power cord. I thought it was an issue with the charger, so I contacted customer service and was sent a replacement charger. The same issue happened to the replacement, except this time it stopped working entirely so I had to switch back to the original faulty charger. After looking on Google and Reddit I found out that this is a repeat issue with the Aspire 3 laptop charging port, not the charger itself. Acer themselves have not made any effort to actually mitigate the issue, instead sending replacement chargers that they know will break anyway. On top of all of this, their customer service is incredibly patronizing and demeaning, and will always avoid giving a useful response to a serious issue and instead treat you like a child who doesn't understand anything. I'm never purchasing an Acer product again. This is an absolutely putrid company.
Sensible website, decent products
Sensible website. Useful descriptions. Decent range of options. Slick payment system. I like the last Acer I bought in September so I am very hopeful about this one
Customer support in UK are terrible
Customer support in UK are terrible
Asked for an email to confirm warranty policies and they said they'd do it as soon as they got off the phone, 5 hours later and still no email.
To make things worse, only had my computer for half a year and already seriously overheating and playing badly. I am surprised and disappointed with Acer.

I purchased a 10 inch Acer tablet last year . I did speak to the young salesman who sold it to me. I asked about it in general and he told me for the price it was a good deal. Not a Samsung of course but a good start it was my first . It's been a poor man's substitute. Charging is a nightmare despite buying numerous chargers including a fast one . It doesn't hold it's battery for very long and sometimes with perhaps 49% left it shuts down very aggravating . Had I known I would most certainly not have bought this .

A flagship Acer laptop failed in under a year and the repair process has been a struggle
I bought a high end Acer flagship laptop that cost a significant amount of money. It failed in under a year with no abuse or damage on my part. The screen went black at random, then stopped displaying entirely.
I work in government and rely on my equipment daily. I had to leave the country I was staying in and travel back to the United States to get this laptop shipped for repair. I missed work and spent time and effort trying to meet Acer’s requirements.
The repair process has not been smooth. I was not given expedited shipping to the repair center. I was not assured that the repair would be handled quickly. Communication has been inconsistent and confusing. For a premium product that is marketed as reliable, this has been disappointing.
Acer can improve by providing clear timelines, faster turnaround for warranty devices, and better support for customers who depend on their equipment. A flagship device should not fail this quickly and the repair experience should match the quality and price of the laptop.
Prompt and helpful service
Bought a laptop from there
Bought a laptop from there, there were complaints in the first few days of using it itself, and over time it's become worse, very poor battery life and everything just falls apart, componen after component, so not buy an acer laptop yall
Avoid Acer Trash... Warranty Useless
Bought Acer Chromebook 315 CB315-4H from amazon last March 2025. The laptop has fallen apart in that time. USB port failure, screen shuddering and blinking on and off. Then the LCD closed shop. It looks like the screen is cracked but its underneath and searches say its a hardware issue.
Acer haven't engaged with me.
I'll have to be a horrible person that doesn't agree with me.
Avoid Acer trash
Acer Aspire XC-1785 (£850): out of the box - won't swtich on
Purchase of:
Acer Aspire XC-1785 Desktop PC
What Went Wrong With My Acer Desktop PC?
Straight out of the box - the Acer Aspire XC-1785 pc ... WON'T SWITCH ON! (and it's an £850 pc!). Tried numerous home troubleshoots including:
1. Ensured socket plug and pc plugged in snuggly.
2. Unplugged everything + did power reset by holding the power button for 30 seconds (as per community.acer.com).
3. Did the above and tried on a different socket location.
3. Did the above and tried using my current ACER PC cable.
NO POWER SWITCH LIGHT ON nor rumblings of it working. A new out of the box £850 pc and it doesn't even switch on? Shocking & SHAME on you, Acer (and there were so many other competitors I was considering but I was loyal!)
Why I Bought An Acer Desktop?
Bought an Acer Aspire XC-1785 new desktop to replace my old, V loved Acer desktop that is still working but Windows 11 upgrade - says it will no longer support it :(
Bought From:
Direct from store.acer.com as it offered higher spec than Currys (Intel® Core™ i7-14700, 32 GB & 1 TB)
Current Status:
Waiting acer.com's "Ticket" response and TOTALLY, dread to think of the likelihood of highly inconvenient faff of sending it back and waiting for it to be fixed (I would rather have a NEW working PC replacement).
How acer.com can improve:
* Ensure their pc work outa the box
* Website Footer - add clear "Technical Support" link
* LiveChat / Call Centre - in this day and age it should be 24/7 - Samsung (where I bought my upgrade monitor (due to cable incompatibility with my new Acer, is 24/7)
Waiting for their response. Also as I work in online marketing / SEO - intrigued to see if ACER will respond to this review (particularly as this is very well respected UK review site).
PS my best mate at the same time, had also to upgrade (his laptop) cos of evil Window 11 - he is in delight with his Dell :(
Horrible PC
If I could give a 0 star, I would. Horrible customer service and frequent motherboard issues on Acer Nitro 17. If you don’t want to waste $1000 and have to send your pc in every 4 months to get it fixed, then I highly do not recommend this company. They also will not refund your money if there is frequent issues
i've been buying acer laptops for two…
i've been buying acer laptops for two decades and they were great quality for the price for most of that time. but the last one i bought has had a lot more components fail much earlier. including the sound card and memory. and i don't carry this laptop. it stays on my desk.
furthermore, the acer support webpage no longer loads in a browser and they no longer provide a way to download the original acer software. this is no longer a professionally managed computer manufacturer. stay away.
SWift
Got the swift 14 AI +copilot, and not using the ai tho LOL! But I got it after seeing some reviews and hearing some nice things about the battery, and I think I am pretty satisfied with the purchase! The options were either this or Zenbook 14 which also had great reviews but something told me that going with swift is a better choice, and I Think I madea right choice. The battery is the biggest feature and this intel arc gpu seems like a beast when doing moderate tasks. Not using it for anything heavy yet, but it does the job well.
Acer monitor is the best for playing dota 2 and CS 2, it’s a game changer.
