I wish I could rate this company 0…

I wish I could rate this company 0 stars. Never buy from this company ever. I had a acer swift computer which I use for my college work. One night while doing work on the computer the charger blew up on my bed nearly causing my whole bed to go on fire. Luckily it didn’t and nobody was hurt, I then sent a email to acer about this as that is not one bit acceptable as the charger was in perfect condition. They then accused me of cutting the charger? And not sending me out a new one. They went back and forth with me accusing me of cutting my charger? Who the f#ck would cut their charger. Never buy from acer.

Doesn't support updates

The Drivers and Manuals section on their website doesn't exist. Despite having a link which suggests you can update your BIOS by downloading the latest version it is a dead end.
Terrible.

WORST LAPTOP EVER

That's the worst laptop I've ever had. Nothing works.. Tried to open some videos from my Iphone and obviously, it doesn't work. Tried to download a video app, cannot default it. It's not supported. Tried 3 different video players, none of them worked. Cheap and horrible device. DON'T ever buy it. I REGRET it so bad!

Acer couldn't care less

My elderly wife's Acer laptop (that only has an hours use each day and was treated with the utmost care) failed 4 months after the 12 month warranty ran out. (Amazing unreliability?!) The official repairers (or so they tell me) originally stated they'd send a box for my computer so that I could post it to them, (cost £10) they now state they want £80 in order to send a carrier to collect the device. Rather excessive! Then, of course, there'll be the cost of repairs. I may as well throw the laptop in the bin. Update. I received an email from someone at ACER this morning (21/12/2025) his response was cursory and amounted too "Tough luck!" he also mustn't have read my email properly as despite me telling ACER I'd already contacted their official repairer, he added, "Contact our official repairer" This sort of thing occurs too often, companies only see in emails what THEY want to see and ignore the rest.

Worst Experience Ever – Don’t Buy Acer Products

I’m writing this after 3 frustrating days of dealing with @Acer_India support. My Acer TV (Model: AR32GR2841HDFL, Serial No: 2306ATDT32GIX01059) stopped displaying pictures in less than 2 years, even though the sound still works.

I raised a complaint (ID: UP2510190015801) on the first day. Their team verified all details, confirmed warranty validity till November, and assured service. But since then, all I’ve received are repeated emails and messages asking for the same details again and again — as if they’ve lost all internal records.

When I contacted Acer India, they said Acer TVs are “supported by Indkal Technologies.” So Acer sells the product under its brand, but conveniently passes the responsibility to someone else when things go wrong. What a complete betrayal of trust!

It’s been 3 days — no technician visit, no real response, just excuses and delay. Their support feels disorganized, careless, and misleading.

If you’re thinking about buying an Acer product, don’t. It might work for a year or two, but when it fails, you’ll realize there’s no real service or accountability behind the brand.

Extremely disappointed. Acer has lost my trust completely.

DO NOT BUY ACER PRODUCTS

DO NOT BUY ACER PRODUCTS

I have a 2017 tablet, as new, bought by my mother and practically never used. Now my mother is 82 years old and she left the tablet into a drawer since years.
Yesterday, I recovered it and got it working again, but I've discovered that it's not possible to update the operating system or apps like YouTube. I contacted the company, and they informed me that they no longer provide updates for that model, effectively rendering it unusable despite being perfectly functional. This turns a product into waste through planned obsolescence, with the company suggesting I buy another one.

This company is useless, incapable of supporting its customers, and doesn't care about its public image, as evident from the flood of negative comments here. They're only concerned with selling products without providing software support. DO NOT BUY ACER PRODUCTS!!

Acer Nitro 16 Died in 1 Year, Service Demanded 73,000 TL

I purchased my Acer Nitro 16 laptop from Hepsiburada for 56,000 TL using my credit card. From the first day, the screen had dead pixels and the speakers made cracking noises. Due to exams and projects, I ignored these issues. However, while still under warranty and with one year left, the laptop suddenly shut down while sitting on my desk and never turned on again. I took it to Acer’s authorized service in Ümraniye, Istanbul. Despite being under warranty, they demanded 73,000 TL for repair. The service claimed the device was “damaged by dust,” that the fans were not working, and the motherboard was burned. That’s completely false—I used the laptop very carefully and never even opened its back cover. The fans were working perfectly; I clearly remember hearing them spinning loudly the last time I used it. The service simply sent me an IBAN number and demanded payment. Although they promised a detailed fault report, they only provided a “price offer” document that said, in one sentence, “damaged by dust.” They told me to come to Ümraniye to receive the full report, but when I went, they gave me the same document again. They wasted my time and effort for nothing. The service’s behavior was careless, unprofessional, and frankly dishonest. There was no liquid contact, no drop, no misuse—yet they still claimed it was “user fault.” They didn’t even inspect the device properly and directly demanded a huge fee for a motherboard replacement. Their only goal is to take money, not to help customers. When I told them they were acting like scammers, one employee mockingly said, “That’s right, I can’t deny it,” basically admitting it. I submitted all warranty and invoice documents completely. Customer service told me to deliver the device directly to the service since it wouldn’t turn on, offering no other solution. The product was defective from day one, but they refused to repair or replace it under warranty and asked for more than the laptop’s actual price. This is pure injustice and consumer deception. I have already filed a complaint with the Consumer Arbitration Committee and started the legal process. I will also share this story on every platform and social media channel to warn others. I demand Acer to take responsibility and refund the full product amount for this disgraceful experience.

Awful customer service who don't follow through

THIS IS A ZERO STAR REVIEW:

Although I've never dealt with Acer before, I did for the first time on Tuesday 10-7-25. I won't leave a biography of what happened but my friends laptop was under a one-year warranty from Acer and Costco. Being told by Costcos warranty department to send her laptop to Acer, she'd put the laptop inside a box, bubble wrapped it and sent it a few days before my arrival. At the FedEx drop off location, that box was then put inside another box. The laptop screen had gotten colored horizontal lines across it and that's why she'd sent it in.

It arrived at Acer via FedEx. The box was in a terrible broken state and the laptop had a broken screen. That was nothing to do with my friend. She'd completed her side of the arrangement. I spent two and a half hours on the phone, partly with Costco's warranty service with a gentleman by the name of Minall (sp).

Acers rep Chris said that Acer would call back the next day. Nobody at Acer has never called back to this day!

The sad thing about this whole story is I've never heard of anybody having an issue with a return at Costco ever, and this ended up being a nightmare.

I'll never deal with Acer again and I think their customer service stinks.

Acer Aspire Vero i7 W11

Acer Aspire Vero i7 W11. I'm changing this review from 5 stars to three having now used it for a couple of months. The reason for buying was because W10 was being phased out.
The keys lighting up in use is very useful. The quality of the screen/picture is good. It's quiet and Spec is good.
In practice I found the Gopilot a complete nightmare popping up and interfering all the time. Now mostly turned off but still some aspects a nuisance. I find the mouse pad difficult to get along with - it has no individual left and right buttons. They are incorporated into the lower part of the pad with no clear demarcation line - a constant issue as it seems the the line is too low down. Now that W10 life has been extended I wish I hadn't purchased this laptop. Although the spec is good the mouse pad is the main reason for not liking it. Another problem is the cursor which sometimes doesn't want to move when stroking the pad. Also the cursor is more critical in selecting than any I have experienced before. There is very little margin when clicking (selecting) something and I have trouble in moving the cursor just a milimeter to make the selection work. This updated review dated 11.12.25

They have uneducated and unprofessional…

They have uneducated and unprofessional tech support staff. New laptop, used mybe 5 or 6times now refuses to start. I am getting all the same informaiton that is in the website that propss options to tr and restart it. Now they want me to send it for repairs that will take anywhere from 5 to 10 days if not more. As I had started to implement some personal information I do not want them to have access. They offer no solution. Simply stall tacktics s they have no experience other than sales.

Second Predator Laptop and last one for me..

On paper this laptop is a beast — 13th Gen i7, RTX 4060, plenty of RAM and storage, and a great display. Performance in games and heavy tasks is excellent when it works.

Unfortunately, I’ve run into major stability issues. The laptop randomly shuts down, especially when idle or on battery. Event logs point to firmware and hardware errors, and Intel’s own tool reports the system as vulnerable even after installing the latest drivers and ME firmware. I’ve also had to lock the CPU at 100% just to avoid shutdowns, which isn’t normal.

For the price, I expected reliability. Until Acer releases a BIOS/firmware update to fix these problems, I can’t fully recommend the Helios 16 despite its great performance.

Acer monitor

Acer monitor, bought 3rd June 25 just stopped switching on altogether, within 4 months. Really poor. Rang customer service (awful African call centre). Was told on the first phone call to “email in to Customer “Care” with your problem, basically just passing me on because the advisor clearly couldn’t be bothered to help. I decided to call again to try and get somewhere help wise and this time the advisor asked for my problem, SNID number and details (all of which the previous advisor told me to put in the email, so clearly it could have easily been done over the phone in the first place!) she then sent me an email and stayed on the phone to ensure I’d received it, listing the issue information and case number etc. I was also asked to provide photos of the damage (difficult when it just doesn’t switch on haha but hey ho! A photo of the black, black screen was sent). I was told this would be passed onto another department and be booked in for repair. After 4 days I’d still not heard anything at all so I emailed and asked for my case to be actioned ASAP, which to my surprise they did straight away! I received an email around an hour later to say DPD will be bringing a box for me to send the item back in and take it away for me at the same time. I believe my email would still be sat there now had I have not contacted them to remind them. I am unsure how the rest of the service will go but reading the poor reviews I’m very stressed now but we shall see what happens.

Unacceptable Service – Laptop Taken, No Repair or Replacement

I sent my Acer laptop for repair over two weeks ago. Since then, Acer has shown nothing but incompetence and disregard for customers.

They collected my laptop but then sent me another DPD collection request, as if they lost track of it.

Their support keeps stalling with irrelevant excuses (SNID number confusion, “waiting for repair centre” updates) instead of actually repairing or replacing my device.

Despite multiple escalation emails, I have received no working laptop, no clear timeline, and no accountability.

This delay has caused me real financial loss and disruption to my work. Acer has failed to honour their warranty in a reasonable time and continues to waste my time with empty responses.

I have now escalated this to Acer HQ, Trading Standards, and my credit card provider under Section 75.

If you value your time, money, and peace of mind, avoid Acer. Their customer service and repair process are negligent at best.

Pleasantly surprised by excellent service

After reading the poor reviews on here, I wasn't very hopeful when the screen of my laptop broke. It is still under warranty, so I used their repair service, which couldn't have been more simple. I logged the issue using their online system. They asked for photos and my invoice, then sent me a postage sticker to post the laptop for free to their repair centre. I was informed during every step of the process and yesterday received my fully repaired laptop back from the shop. The whole process took around 10 days and cost me nothing. Very relieved and pleasantly surprised!
