They refused a claim on a Ferrex mower…

They refused a claim on a Ferrex mower bought through Aldi though it is still under warranty. A piece of the wheel broke while mowing before it’s a manufacturing fault (wheel is made from thin plastic). They initially claim it came from an impact and then says it’s from wear and tear though wear and tear will result in a thinner wheel and not a broken one. All this for a wheel that costs $15.

Aldi Ferrex cordless

Took a dud Aldi cordless saw into Action Spares for warranty claim. Gary processed it on the spot and I walked out with a new saw. Aidan has also been very helpful in some other matters involving Ferrex cordless tools. Very impressed all round.

Out in the cold!

I bought a Yard Force mower in Sept 2021 and hadn't any trouble with it until Jan 2024 when it wouldn't start. I phoned Action Spares, the warrantee people, and was immediately told by the terse, rude guy who anawered the phone that the warrantee (a 3-year one, still active) did not cover the problem - this is without even knowing what the problem was! I then asked him where nearest “authorised service centre” (mentioned in the
Operator's Manual for service support) was and he said “there is no formal arrangement for ANY service centres” and that I would have to find my own repairer. So customers are left out in the cold with NO after
sales support whatsoever! Both mower shops in our town refused to look at the Yard “Farce” mower and
I was told spare parts are like hen's teeth.
So, if you are shopping for a new mower don't buy a Yard Force because there is no customer support and
not only will their warrantee people give you “the bums
rush”, but their Victoria importer and their head office
Customer Support will not answer your emails and, get this, their motto is “YOUR FEEDBACK, OUR PRIORITY”! Talk about hypocrisy!! It's one of those “We'd like to help you out. Which way did you come in?” situations. Buyer beware.

I purchased a Ferrex high pressure…

I purchased a Ferrex high pressure washer in March 2022 used once does not work. Have been trying to get credit replacement or refund to no avail. Person at Actionspares very nice to deal with but refund has not happened as I have lost the receipt. ACCC advised if I had the proof of serial number is enough proof. I have provided that and still no action on refund . It’s now the matter of principal and I’ll keep pursuing this until I get a satisfactory return credit or refund. ISSUE RESOLVED IF YOU LOOSE RECEIPT GO TO ALDI STORE SEE THE MANAGER THEY MAY BE ABLE TO PRINT RE EIPT. TOOK ALDI 2 mins to find receipt and issue refund.

Absolutly terrible customer service

Absolutly terrible customer service, purchased cordless drill with faulty charger, requested replacement charger, after 2 days of emails back and forth sending all photos of reciept and faults asked for, they then decided they wanted charger sent to them at my expense, being in rural melbourne this would mean a minimum 2 to 3 week to obtain a replacement easy to go back to aldi for refund and buy a new cordless drill from a brand that actually offers customer service

Absolutely first class service

Absolutely first class service! I needed a replacement chainsaw sold through Aldi (still under warranty). I rang them, got onto a chap (Brad Platten) who simply wanted a copy of the receipt, photos of the genuineness of the item (serial number/model number etc) and a short video evidencing the fault. I received an email the next day saying the claim was being processed - and the day after advice that delivery was on the way along with a tracking number for Australia Post. The replacement item was here within 7days. Truly exceptional customer service!

Dud Power Washer spray gun

I have a power washer which I purchased from Aldi 4 years ago, so it is out of warranty Having used used the power washer 3 times over the past 4 years for a total of 6 - 8 operating hours I wash shocked when I went to use it yesterday to find the join in the barrel of the spray g had failed and water spurted out of the join when water pressure was applied. I ran this crowd to complain about the failure of the spray gun and what could be done to rectify the problem as it was clearly a manufacturing fault and not caused by general wear and tear. Prior to speaking to an operator I had to listen to a recorded message that abusive language would not be tolerated - fair enough.
I spoke to a woman called Tracy who, when i told her of
my problem, told me I could only purchase a new spray gun, nothing else could be done. I asked could I speak to someone senior and was informed the manager Elsie would be back from lunch shortly.
I rang later and Elsie answered. She was quick to inform me that she had spoken to Tracy and I could only purchase a new spray gun -thats it. When I explain that the pressure cleaner had 6 hours use and had been stored under cover since purchase she replied that their warranty covers time only not hours used. I said I would take the matter further and was told 'feel free to do so'.
What really annoys me, apart from their no can help response is the patronising tone of their response, for example, " I can understand your concern" delivered in a monotone; "I can sympathise with you", same monotone. It sounds like they are reading from a script, with no feeling or empathy for their customer.
I will not purchase a new spray gun and throw good money away after bad.
I will not purchase another tool or hardware item from Aldi if this is the sort of backup service they provide

This is the worst experience i ever had…

This is the worst experience i ever had in my life! I would never buy any tools in ALDI if they have workzone brand. Their staff just so cold blood, the answer machine is much warmer than them. Is this really necessary to treat you customers like this! They might not care about the customer anyway! Unbelievable !

Aldi Stores should be ashamed to be…

Aldi Stores should be ashamed to be linked with this company Action Spares to represent them on warranty claims as they are obstructive and totally unreliable for replacement or repair. Aldi wake up ....Never buy Aldi power tools as they do not back up warranty claims ..

Awful customer service!

I ordered a replacement padding for my trampoline through action spares after accidentally ordering the wrong size/brand from another online retailer. I told the customer service representative What happened and that I needed to order the correct size for my trampoline. I gave her the measurements and She confirmed my Trampoline size and proceeded to be lace the order.

When I received it, it was too small. I called to ask what had happened and was spoken to so rudely by the team member, I could not believe my ears! She blamed me for giving her the wrong information even after I specifically gave her the measurements. The conversation went around in circles and I eventually agreed to send the product back at my own expense ($35)!

I got off the call feeling angry and disappointed at the absolutely rude and awful behaviour of the staff member, Elyse.

Honestly, save your money or shop elsewhere, these people have no care for their customers and zero customer service skills.

I wouldn’t even give this experience 1 star!
