They were great back then

They were great back then, but have seemingly worsened over the years. Especially when they pivoted towards using more AI and nearly killing Adobe Animate before changing their mind and backpedaling and saying they are supporting it only for maintenance updates and security patches, which is better than dropping it entirely but they were originally forcing people to use AI instead which is stupid.

Recent updates to Acrobat on iPhone…

Recent updates to Acrobat on iPhone have significantly degraded the core scanning workflow. I can no longer reliably create a single PDF from multiple photos, which was a basic function before. In addition, Auto Color appears to be gone or inaccessible, even though it was a primary reason I chose this app. The ability to adjust or re-apply auto-cropping and scan enhancements is also no longer available in a clear or usable way. Documents created from images are now treated as regular PDFs, which removes essential scan editing tools. Meanwhile, the app is heavily focused on new AI features like summaries and voice tools that do not replace the lost core functionality. This update has made a simple task—scanning and enhancing documents—unnecessarily difficult.

Adobe don't disclose termination fees

Adobe don't disclose termination fees when thought it was a month by month subscription for photoshop, wanted to pause for a few months as wasn't needed and said I had to pay them about £100 to terminate it. So you got your money but never again!!! I will never pay them a single penny more and have found alternative software at a reasonable one off price. Thank you Adobe for ripping off your customers but never again. There is alternative software and lots better now I found the right ones. Thanks Adobe for scamming your customers.

Predatory billing - fraudulent practices

Predatory billing, zero invoices, 2+ hours to get a refund — avoid Adobe free trials

I signed up for a free trial of Adobe Acrobat Pro and AI Assistant for Acrobat in January 2026. I cancelled before the trial ended and received a cancellation confirmation from Adobe on 12 January 2026.

Despite this, Adobe continued charging me €8.42 every month for 3 consecutive months — totalling €25.26 — without sending a single invoice or payment notification to my email. I had no idea these charges were happening until I reviewed my bank statement.

When I contacted support, agents told me: (1) the charges "don't exist" in their system, (2) the payments were "declined" and never received — even though my bank statement showed three successful debits matching Adobe's own invoice dates, and (3) to contact my bank instead. I had to speak to multiple agents, upload both Adobe-issued invoices AND bank statements, and spend over 2 hours in chat to recover my own money.

This is a deliberate pattern. Adobe bundles two separate subscriptions but only processes one cancellation — the other silently keeps billing. No invoices are sent, so you won't notice for months. Support is trained to deflect and exhaust you until you give up.

I eventually got all 3 refunds but only after escalating repeatedly and threatening to involve Adobe's senior leadership and the European Consumer Centre. No customer should have to do this.

Avoid Adobe free trials entirely. If you must use them, cancel both subscriptions separately and screenshot every confirmation.

Probably the worst value for money…

Probably the worst value for money service I have ever been stuck with.
I've pumped £1,000's into Adobe over the years as a designer. The programs are now incredibly out dated and the support for the regular issues that arise, is next to none-existent.
Roll on the day when this monopoly is toppled.

Extremely deceptive and near-impossible cancellation process

While Lightroom as a product was great, I found the Adobe account and subscription model to be extremely deceptive. It was near-impossible to cancel my subscription, and the pricing is ridiculous. Adobe has disgusted me with their deceptive pricing and trial model. I will not be recommending them. As great as Lightroom is, I will not be using it due to this non-ethical stance Adobe has taken. Better off paying more for another editing app.

What a scam this company is....I signed…

What a scam this company is....I signed up to convert pages in to pdf. The plan was £4.98/month and first month was free. I used it for one page only and I cancelled it immediately. Now after two months I realised from the bank statements that they took money for two months. I tried to cancel it again. It is the most difficult website to find out about the cancellation. Finally I find out how to cancel it again. I signed up only for monthly use and then cancelled it straight away. Now they are charging me early exit fee of £25, which is not to be charged in any way. I ENDED UP PAYING £35 JUST FOR ONE PAGE. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY. I will now get in touch with my bank to get my money back.

Predatory subscription service

Predatory subscription service. When I set up I believed I was on a rolling monthly contract, but two years on and trying to cancel they want £109 apparently as "an early cancellation fee". I have no choice but to pay to be free of this terrible comapny, but will never use them again.

No Customer Support

I purchased the wrong version of the 3 year subscription to Adobe Elements. There is no way to contact anyone to get my subscription fixed. Additionally, the subscription for video editing would not even downIoad completely - the most important tools for me were missing.

Wish I could give it zero stars.

Wish I could give it zero stars, as Adobe doesn't even deserve one star. I've used Adobe for absolutely years and it's definitely one of my biggest spending regrets. Their subscription cancelation policies are awful. The extra discount you get for being unable to cancel the plan whenever you want is not worth it, since all the applications are clunky and counter intuitive. Please, don't waste your money on a company that is only running to suck every cent out of their customers.

Absolutely terrible customer service

Absolutely terrible customer service. The lady was rude. They kept saying I had to login to cancel however, I was unable to login. This was something from years ago that I didn’t even realize I was paying for. She apparently could not look it up in any way shape or form without my email. And they did not have my email associated with an account. It is the only one I have. When I got angry and asked to speak to someone else, she first said, I will transfer you to my manager who will say the same thing I did. Then she put me on hold for over 30 minutes so I finally hung up. Do not purchase.
