Really good service and a great shop
The staff are polite and the service was great. I went in the purchase school uniform. A member of staff helped me pick out the right sizes and I could try on the uniform in the changing rooms provided.

Poor quality
Ordered school jumpers online to collect from store,although it arrived quickly without issue one of the jumpers wasn't in any packageing and was all dirty and covered in what looked like pet hair !.Overall quality of jumpers very poor, material very thin and have been assured the big rings around the school badges will wash out.
Really annoyed that the purchase of school uniforms are limited to one company as you have no option other than to buy poor quality product
YC Sports Dreadful Service
Like a lot of parents, we are caught in the quality trap when it comes to buying school uniform items: schools enter into arrangements with outlets and you are then tied into them, not able to purchase elsewhere, and having little to no recourse for their poor quality and dreadful customer service.
I called into their Crwys Road shop to pick up two items which had been previously ordered, one bearing the school logo and one bearing the logo and my child's name, as mandated by the school. After being asked by a junior member of staff if we had received text messages to say the items were ready for pick up, and confirming that this was the case, I was told that I had not received one of the texts. When presented with the text details, no apology was offered. It would appear that their junior staff have poor customer services skills, and effectively calling a customer a liar does not even concern them.
Once I had waited further and received the two items, it was evident that the name embroidery was of poor quality. I asked if it was possible to speak to a senior member of staff. (The size of the font varied between letters, and the letters were not aligned correctly). After a lengthy wait, I was told that this was the best that I could hope for as there were issues with machining names on to items (even though they were doing this for hundreds of other customers!).
I asked if all the name embroidery for other customers was of the same poor quality, and the reply was that no-one else had any issues with it. I asked that they try again, and after another lengthy wait, a sampler was presented with the same poor lettering. The person with the sampler agreed that the quality was poor, and that they would try again. I agreed to leave the item with them and to return to the shop the next day once they had retried, and they said they would call my wife when we could come in.
They never called my wife.
I subsequently called the shop and was told I would have to speak with 'John'.
I spoke on the phone to 'John', who also stated that the quality was as good as they could do. I asked if he felt that it was of sufficient quality, and he mentioned that it might be possible to refund the cost of the embroidery. I reminded him that the cost of the item included embroidery, as agreed with the school. He offered to provide the item without the embroidered name so that I could try elsewhere, without reimbursement. I stated that we were instructed by the school that all uniform items (including embroidery) had to be procured through them.
When I returned to the shop to pick up the flawed item, I asked for 'John' as instructed. No refund was offered, nor even an apology. He even stated that he felt it was of adequate quality, although this was not agreed by other members of his staff.
The whole customer experience from start to finish was incredibly poor, and we have now to accept substandard goods. Schools need to be made aware of what issues their pupils and families are experiencing with their uniform outlets.
For parents caught in the same quality trap, I would urge you to write to your school and make your feelings known. If you are free to shop elsewhere, I would recommend you do so.
At the time of writing this, I have reviewed YC Sports' rating on TrustPilot, and the statistics speak for themselves.

Clearly this is not a market-leading organisation, and their quality and customer service are, in my opinion, dreadful.

Absolute appalling service when trying to return a top that was purchased Monday, worn once and that has changed colour from yellow to black in the wash when it was washed on it's own!
Person who was serving completely refused to offer an exchange or refund and said that if I had an issue i'd need to take it up directly with their suppliers!
Absolute JOKE of a company obviously run by cowboys. Do yourself a favour and SHOP ELSEWHERE.

IF I COULD HAVE GIVEN NO STARS I WOULD HAVE.
When I last purchased uniform I informed John the manager that EVERY cardi and jumper we have had have come apart at the seams but as we live 34 mile round trip away we have repaired them rather than bringing them back. Showed him pictures and he said no one has EVER complained before but if it happens again return the item to be exchanged. Spoke to loads of other mums who have all had the same issue and they said he blames them and will not replace items.
Went back today as the new cardi came apart on the sleeve seam. Got a very rude response. His story changed several times during the conversation and included the fact that "it's general wear and tear," "the seams don't come apart (with him pulling the other arm to prove it) so we must have deliberately cut it", "no other schools have this issue and they have the same product with different logos", "it's not faulty", "it's not an issue with the suppliers", he's "already replaced it once out of goodwill and will not swap it again" (even though I have never taken one back before).
He point blank refused to swap it as it is not faulty and said he is as high up as I could go as HE owns the company and if I have issues I can always contact trading standards. I have checked with Companies House and John is not even listed as a director of the company. If you read the "about us" section of their web page he is one of the owners sons.
I will be contacting trading standards and the school governors to see what can be done about changing suppliers as I am not willing to pay £16 for a cardigan that falls apart frequently.
I would highly recommend going somewhere else if possible. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.
Awful customer service
Awful customer service, rude manager, refused to refund me when I returned unopened uniform that was the wrong size. I would suggest everyone stays away from this company.

Cancelled my order without any notice, refund and response!

They are very easy to work with, to get hold of, and have provided us with exaxtly the kit we wanted
They are thorough in asking what you want from the kit, which means there is no room for error. It's nice that they are always available on the phone and via email. Thank you very much!

I ordered a polo shirt and it is really comfy and the perfect fit. Normally with this sort of kit you find that sizing doesn't always come out how you expect but I'd say this one was bang on! Really pleased with it and would definitely recommend.
