We worked with Advantage Testing for our eldest two children (so far) and had very positive experiences with each child. We worked for a finite period of time to prepare the kids for their SSAT during their 8th grade years. Our tutor, Andrew, was attentive, thorough, responsive (to me and to the children) and 100% available to them throughout the process. The office space in Newton is warm and inviting (and the kids love the candy treats) and the overall experience was completely positive. I continue to lean on Andrew for advice now that we are moving into college prep testing and he couldn't be more helpful in guiding me through all of my questions. We wholeheartedly endorse Advantage Testing and would be happy to talk to anyone who has more questions.

I cannot say enough about Dan Kusik, the director of Advantage Testing and Jacob Shulman, an advantage tutor. Both Dan and Jacob have worked with my daughters on multiple levels of standardized test prep. I would call them experts in every level, ISEE, SSAT, and college level testing. While they are both proficient in the prep, it is their ability to understand their students and what they need that sets them apart. They understand the mental component to the tests and are able to both support and push the students in a non stressful manner. Jacob is the most talented Math teacher I have ever met. Both are also exceptional people. They are honest in their feedback and assessments and they want what is best for the kids.

Dan and his staff at Advantage Testing are superb. They tailored the program to exactly fit each of my student's needs. While the hourly rate might seem high, Dan structured the program to keep tutoring sessions to a minimum while maximizing the work my kids could do on their own. In the end, the program is less costly than many others. We have used Dan and his tutors for SAT, ACT, and even prep for college placement exams - all with great success.

All my children had Bod Meyer as their instructor. Bob is the most amazing instructor. His teaching method was so effective that all my children were improved dramatically after they spent a few months with Bob. I highly recommend Advantage Testing and Bob Meyer!

Theresa-Marie was a fantastic tutor and mentor. I thoroughly enjoyed our sessions as they were not only informational and helpful but also personable! I developed a wonderful relationship during my SAT/ACT sessions with Theresa-Marie, and I feel so grateful to have had her unconditional support and care during those formative years of my life.

I have used Advantage Testing to tutor 4 different children for SSAT, SAT, AP's and SAT2's.Each child was very different and each tutor was different. We had a very successful experience each time. I have recommended Dan Kusik and the Newton office numerous times to friends and family and will continue to do so.

I have 2 children who have/had Theresa-Marie as a teacher. My son who is a junior in College and my daughter currently studying with Theresa-Marie. My son reached an excellent score and improved a lot thanks to Theresa-Marie teaching’s skills.

As a conclusion, We are very happy with Theresa-Marie even if hourly rate is high but due to the quality of Theresa-Marie, it is definitely worth it. It is a true investment for us but again worth it.
A friend of mine gave me her name and I will strongly give her name to any (good) friends who can afford it.

I have only the most positive things to say about Bob Myer. He is a drill sergeant in the best possible way and has done wonderful things for my children. He demands excellence every step of the way and produces results. He expects kids to be accountable and there are no excuses. We have had a great experience with him. I have recommended him to several of my friends who have thanked me repeatedly as he has produced those same results. It is a worthwhile investment, in my opinion.

Joining Advantage Testing (of Westchester) as a college-bound student was an incredibly rewarding experience for me. I had the privilege of working with Theresa-Marie Russo, who helped prepare me for the ACT and SAT II Subject Tests, for undergrad college applications.

Theresa-Marie worked tirelessly with me on my exam readiness; however, she also worked to build my confidence (often coaching me on how to manage test-taking anxiety, mastering college interviews, and most importantly, raising expectations I had for myself when it came to the schools I was targeting). This is an indispensable quality in a tutor and mentor.

With her help I was able to excel in every exam I took (got a nearly perfect ACT score) and was able to attend my top choice university (with an acceptance rate of a mere 4%).

Theresa-Marie continues to be a mentor for me and I am so grateful for my time with her. I highly recommend Advantage Testing!

TM at Advantage has been working with my daughter for over a year now. In that time she reviewed, visited, and narrowed her target colleges; her ACT scores rose dramatically; and, she has completed the common app essays and most of the supplements. TM has been an invaluable resource for me and a trusted confident and cheerleader for my daughter. Worth the money!

Bob Myers tutored all four of my children for both the SAT and ACT. Each child had a very different learning style, and Bob quickly discerned which test would be appropriate and then hit the ground running. He was a phenomenal tutor — while they were all good students in school, their comments about Bob all pointed to his professionalism, sense of humor, and genuine interest in each of them. From “I learned more grammar from Bob than in all my years in school” to “He taught me all the tricks, Mom” to “If there was a type of question I had trouble with he gave me ten more until I mastered it.” Bob was also incredibly accommodating; he understood that each kid had athletics and academics to cope with, as well. He made the difference in each kid’s score with each one really achieving his/her max. Not only did each of their test scores improve - they really learned how to take tests and how to take the anxiety part out. Each has gone on to take post grad tests and have used plenty of the skills from Bob. He is a gem.

Both my daughters used Advantage for their SAT/ACT prep. The instruction was exceptional and the sessions were productive and focused. Both girls increased their tests scores measurably and this is a direct result of their tutoring sessions and in house testing practice. I highly recommend Advantage!

Bob Myer tutored my four sons through high stakes college admissions tests and graduate school entrance exams. He is a consummate professional and master at his crafts of test preparation and essay writing. Bob developed a bond with each of my sons and created a rigorous and unique program for each based on their individual needs. He expected hard work and dedication and, in return, always provided sincere encouragement and compassion. I wholeheartedly recommend Bob without reservation.

You will not find a more knowledgeable and professional tutor than Bob. My two sons worked with him to prepare for their standardized testing. Both my sons used Bob for their Act tutoring. He is extremely professional and pushes kids to be the best they can be. Both of them scored 8-10 points higher than their diagnostic. Bob is supportive and willing to work with all types of children. I would highly recommend him to any student who is a hard worker and wants to improve his or her scores.

I have used Advantage for standardized test prep for two children. I have always found the staff to be friendly, helpful and responsive. A range of tutors at a variety of price points are available. Proctored test schedule offers a fair amount of flexibility.

Advantage Testing and Bob Myer are excellent! Bob tutored all of my kids to help prepare them for the ACT. He is smart and takes his job very seriously. He cares about his students and pushes them to do their best. He was excellent at assessing each of my kid's strengths, weaknesses, and learning style. He was always available to speak with me if I had any questions. All of my kids achieved their testing goals.

Bob Myer is the Best tutor each of my three children has ever worked with.

He helped each maximize his potential...my daughter, Isabella, with the SAT, my son, Jack, with the ACT and my youngest, Ryan, with the ISEE. He took the time to learn about and build each of my children a thorough study plan. Bob is very thoughtful, sets goals for each of his students and ensures achievement. Along the way he provides constant feedback and advice.
