Not fit for purpose
Not fit for purpose, platform is very vulnerable to scammers, seller beware advice is not enough to counter this. No option to delete adds
I've been using Adverts.ie for years…
I've been using Adverts.ie for years and I have to say its great. Never had an issue with the site or the service it offers (free of charge mainly). Keep up the good work Adverts.ie.
Just want to add also its hilarious that people on here are blaming adverts.ie for a small unsavory subsection of people that also use the service.
Cop on!
Zero Stars
I had to give 1 star but I want to give 0 stars for this site.
Removed my ad on an ‘asking price issue’ an ad that had been live for months. Removed without any opportunity given to address a minor issue with the ad.
Shocking to be honest.
I had many items grouped together which was an easy and time efficent way to advertise my for sale items rather than making lots of individual for sale items.
Poor customer service by Adverts.ie for someone with all positive feedback going back many years.
Fraudulent sellers hacking accounts
I went to buy a watch on adverts recently from a seller who had over 20 positive reviews. I've used adverts before so I felt this was a genuine seller. A price of €400 was agreed and money transfered over for P&P.
Turns out that the account was hacked and it was a fraudulent seller. Adverts only alerted me to this after the transaction which was more then useless. Customers service came back to me about a month later after I contacted them and were just equally as useless.
Adverts isn't what it used to be. Buyer beware but also be aware of how vulnerable adverts seems to be.
Absolutely ridiculous support team
Absolutely ridiculous support team.
After years they suspected and blocked my account with no reason.
Would not recommend to no one.

Waste of time paying for ads if you are…
Waste of time paying for ads if you are a private seller. One man in Cork that goes by the name of audiorepairs has a whopping 368 ads for bits of old junk in the tech section. Clearly a shop and business. This man is constantly bumping ads to ensure the computer section is filled with his rubbish. Better to use facebook market place or done deal. He doesn't bump there because he has to pay for the ads.

What a shame.
This website has so much potential, is 10x better than Done Deal Because I get so many more interactions and sales, sadly it is very poorly made and outdated I am a reseller and seller and everything is outdated looks like it has a very low budget could be something bigger. What a shame.

four years of adverts.ie
I've used adverts.ie for about four years and sold (and bought) a good many items. No problems, met lots of nice people with similar interests and would recommend to anyone.
The browser is a bit clunky and needs improving, but it's a free service, so can't really moan!

Ok for the basic (free) ads
Ok for the basic (free) ads, but they completely mislead you with the premium ads. You pay to get top billing for 7 days so your ad should appear at the start of people’s searches- but the algorithm puts shops and other sellers with more listings ALWAYS ahead - so your ad never effectively goes to the top. It’s probably not even in the top 50 if it’s a popular item like a mobile phone - So this is a scam and is basically stealing your money. Just go for the free option. You get as many ad hits. We’ve done loads of research on it.

They remove feedback for money from business users
I purchased a phone that arrived with a scratched screen and the wrong charger. Naturally, I left negative feedback for the seller to warn others about my experience. To my surprise, my feedback was removed. Despite providing support with clear evidence, including photos of the damaged screen, my appeal was completely ignored.
As a buyer, I have the right to leave honest feedback based on my experience. Removing it without proper justification is unacceptable and raises serious concerns about the platform's integrity. When I raised this issue, the support agent was not only unhelpful but also rude, suggesting that I should go to court if I was unhappy.
I have been a loyal member since 2012 with over 100 positive feedback ratings. This treatment is a slap in the face to long-time users who rely on honest reviews to make informed decisions. Honest feedback is crucial for maintaining a fair marketplace, and censoring it without cause is a disservice to all users.
I hope this review highlights the need for fair treatment and transparency on this platform. Buyers deserve to have their voices heard and their experiences respected.
The user Gavin.OD001 Has been reported…
The user Gavin.OD001 Has been reported widely by many users for days on end yet he is able to scam freely. One buyer paid through an account in the name of Adam Manex. I will leave it to you to do research on this individual. It is not good.
Gone to the dogs! Scammers outlet
Have sent numerous emails complaining how there are dealers on the site not listed as "shops" yet they are selling bulk amounts of the same items and sales over 5,000. They won't allow collection which is against adverts recommendations to view items before paying and these sellers insist on payment upfront, they don't list any warranties even after asking the direct question. Looks like these sellers are based in more than one location in Ireland if they are even based in Ireland at all. Adverts is gone to the dogs, no way to contact anyone and no reply to emails etc.

Best Site in Ireland for Buying & Selling
I’ve been using Averts for nearly 10 years and have always found it a great site to both buy and sell.
I recently had to contact support with an issue and didn’t know what to expect. I was delighted with their customer service. They solved my problem and went the extra mile to update my email address also.
Very happy with the service and will continue to use Adverts with confidence going forward.

I’ve sold over 52 items on the site for free so can’t fault it there, but one of my sales was to a really fussy person bought an expensive amp I paid 2200 euro for, it was mint and I sold it for a bargain of just €1600. A beautiful flagship Yamaha amp that will last for life and was only a few weeks old from new and €600 cheaper than the lowest online retailer richer sounds at the time. Anyhow this guy after nearly a week decides that he doesn’t want it anymore even tho he came into my house and inspected it and took it. He said the cover for the remote was missing! But when he left me a nasty review adverts.ie blocked me from leaving my own review on his profile to say my piece. Totally wrong and unfair by adverts and this person.

I used to use adverts.ie and gave good reviews when it worked.
But now it tells me that it's not available in my area.
I tried uninstalling , reinstalling , updating apps and security etc.
Sent an email.
But I guess they are not interested in customers anymore.
Well I guess until someone else comes along that can deliver a service that works.
Going to let my friends know about how bad they have become not that they care.
1 star is being very charitable.

Paid on the double
I placed an ad on Adverts, the cost was €27 which I paid. However when I checked it was still pending awaiting payment (despite getting a receipt). I emailed them numerous occasions, wrote via messenger and sent a message via their website but silence, no response. I ended up paying a second €27. I wish I read previous reviews before placing the ad, as other people said their customer service is non-existent.

Website is full of scams
It would be zero if I could leave that rating. The lack of security this website has is crazy, the website is full of scams now. Stay well clear of this website
