Fine if you are not pushed for time. DFDS procedures are on a par with other ferry operators, so my comment applies to all ferrys across the channel.

All went well. The check in now includes the advanced passenger information requirements saving you time filling in the on-line form. The facilities on board were ideal for a quick snack or a meal. The fare was competitive for the summer season. I think it would be beneficial if the ships were modernised as I remember these ferries when Sea France owned them.

The entire experience was top quality and good value for money. I particularly found the food very traditional and nice. The service was on time and the staff were friendly and supportive. Overall, I will recommend them to anyone.

The food is dry and not tasty at all and the food stuff is unfriendly and rude. The smoking area is unmarked and difficult to find

Treated myself to the Full English Breakfast—£13 later, I got a plate of “meh.” I understand the whole mark-up thing, but my daughter had almost the same brekkie for £4.99. So that’s £9 extra for two lukewarm items and a side of regret. I think I’ll just pack a snack next time! I do miss the old restaurant they used to have onboard—proper food, decent prices, and something to actually look forward to. Maybe time to bring that back? That said, the rest of the journey was smooth and pleasant. And a big thumbs up to AFerry for making the booking process super easy—and at a great price too! Smooth sailing all round (apart from the sausages)
