Late departure and arrival. Some staff very friendly, others more superficial.

DFDS flexibility within 4 hours of booked time allowed an earlier ferry. Good service, good food, friendly staff.

Aside from the barbaric horde of teenagers on a school trip, all good as usual

We were very grateful to be offered an earlier ferry and the ship was very different to the ones we have taken in the past. Looked new and modern. This one actually went to Calais, which didn't really affect our travel plans by much at all. The duty-free shop had an open-air feeling about it with benches and trees in the middle. We got our normal Dunkirk to Dover ferry on our way back, which was on time and a very pleasant crossing. Very highly recommended.

My 2pm ferry was cancelled on the day, but we were informed and transferred to Dover to Calais at no extra cost so only 40 minutes delay, but well taken care off

We were booked on the 10:00 ferry from Dover to Dunkirk. Arrived at 08:45 then queued for over an hour at passport control, only to be told we missed the 10:00 and were rebooked on the 12:00. Consequently, we missed an important appointment in Antwerp. The whole check in system needs to be improved drastically and reduce queuing times.

We use the Dover to Dunkirk ferry at least four times a year to visit family. Most times it’s on time and loading/unloading is smooth. Passport control and security checks at Dunkirk were painfully slow on our latest trip. I would use the onboard catering more if there was a broader healthy snacks offering. Overall a good service and value for money.
