Travel with my pet. We used the pet den , in the oscar wilde, that was great, nice seats and tables . Unfortunatly only a coffee machine to use, but this machine only took a card no Coins. As traveling on my own, only with my pet, no chance of getting something to eat, without leaving the pet on it's own. That could be improved. Otherwise a pleasant crossing.

Good beforehand, not good this time. Ferry was 1 hour late and virtually no explication given. Captain said he would do everything to speed up crossing, but we docked at Dover 1and a half hours later than original arrival time. Disappointed.

Impressed with crew and staff at port, experience generally acceptable, but there was always the sense that chaos might triumph after all. The ferry left Calais about half an hour late, and the loading and unloading were slow. The lift from the car deck appeared temperamental, but a crew member got it to work for me in the end.. NB I made this one-way booking, via the excellent AFerry website, because when I tried to change the day of my booking (just for the homeward crossing) with Irish Ferries, Irish Ferries proposed to charge me over again, the entire price for the two-way crossing. So I used AFerry to make a fresh one-way booking, thus losing only the price of the original one-way journey (fair enough). Other travellers may find this worth watching out for; one doesn't always foresee a change of plan or make a (more expensive) amendable booking.

The parking of cars on the car deck is managed for the convenience of the car deck staff not the fare paying customers.Crammed in to an unnecessarily small space making it uncomfortable and dangerous try to squeeze out minimal door openings.Half the car deck totally empty not mention the potential damage to car bodywork.Will not use again until issue is addressed.
