When arriving 80 mins early for our ferry in Calais, it took 20 mins with little traffic to get to ticket office. We were told the gate for our sailing was closed and we would be put on next scheduled sailing 2.5 hours later. Our original booking‘s sailing arrived 1 hour late and were still not put on it. Speed and efficiency are missing at the Irish ferries check-in. Please improve or you will lose my business

Parking on board very tight, barely get door open to get out without hitting someone else's door. My partner had just had knee operation and found it very difficult to get out then to find nearest lift out of order. Toilets we found to be dirty and that was shortly after setting off from port. It was our first time using Irish ferries and unfortunately not impressed

Easy check in and everything ran on time - staff were friendly and courteous! Plus we get to see the White Cliffs which we have missed when using Le Shuttle 👍

The poor rating is for the check-in procedure at Dover. Knowing that French border control were working extremely slowly (it was stated on the Irish Ferries website), Irish Ferries compounded the problem by being even slower, and I (and others) missed our ferry, which was avoidable. Null points to Irish Ferries.
