Everything is broken. I lost my bag, my flight was cancelled, I can't reach customer service. Their app doesn't work, their site doesn't work. Nightmare airline. Paid extra to be able to rebook, and I... See more

Disappointing cabin crew customer service and food.
The flight itself from Heathrow to Calgary was fine. The cabin staff appeared surly and gave the impression that were doing their job under sufferance. The food was dire. They had a choice of chicken or pasta. By the time they got to me they only had pasta left. This pasta was so appalling bad. The pasta was sticking together and it was rubbery. Noticed that the cabin staff kept ignoring the left over meal plates on the next aisle. They had cleared the rest on the plane. A passenger after about 25 minutes had to call someone else to clear the tables despite that the cabin staff were walking up and down the same aisle. What is wrong with them?
On our return flight from Vancouver to Heathrow- it was noticed by several passengers that the attitude of the cabin staff were uncaring and not very pleasant. One of the passengers said that he couldn't understand what a particular air steward was saying. I must admit, her English was not good or clear. Learned from our outbound flight that the food is terrible so we ensured we had a decent meal at the airport prior to boarding. Better still, take your own food. The "breakfast" was appalling. A small pot of Vanilla yoghurt and a slice of cake ( okay if you like very sweet cake). Why doesn't Air Canada improve their food. Worst airline food I have experienced. The flight itself was fine. We had no say which airline to travel but would look at other alternatives given the chance. To sum up - poor cabin customer service and bad food.

I am busy for days to find out the price for extra kilo’s or extra bag for our flight to Toronto and later to Amsterdam. I can’t change my booking, you can not choose an extra bag. Even my travelagent can’t have contact with Air Canada. You can’t chat with them. Terrible and the price on the airport is always higher than when you can book it before. Maybe they do this on purpose so you pay more🙈
Extremely Poor Experience
Extremely Poor Experience, Lack of Transparency, and Miscommunication
My experience with ASAP Tickets has been extremely disappointing and stressful from start to finish.
I was overcharged $225 for baggage fees that were not justified. I traveled from Edmonton, Alberta to Ghana, and I clearly had two checked suitcases, one carry-on, and one personal item. Each checked bag was within the allowed 50 lb limit. I also have photos of my luggage and weights as proof.
Despite this, I was contacted by at least seven different agents from ASAP Tickets, all sending conflicting emails and giving inconsistent explanations. Instead of resolving the issue, I was repeatedly told I was “over the limit,” even though I was not.
At 3:30 in the morning at Edmonton airport, I was also told by an Air Canada agent that I could not board due to a “missing return ticket.” This caused major confusion and nearly prevented me from flying. I was later informed at Toronto airport that this should not have happened, and that the information provided was incorrect.
The situation felt disorganized and poorly handled. At no point did ASAP Tickets take responsibility for the confusion or provide a clear resolution. Instead, I was passed between multiple agents, each contradicting the other.
To make matters worse, there were additional issues regarding ticket documentation and booking details that were not clearly explained to me at the time of purchase. I was left trying to resolve serious travel problems at the airport under extreme stress.
Overall, my experience has been frustrating, confusing, and unprofessional. I will not be using ASAP Tickets again and would strongly advise others to be cautious and ensure all booking and baggage details are fully confirmed in writing before traveling.
My experience with ASAP Tickets has been extremely disappointing and stressful. During my booking process, I was contacted by multiple agents (at least seven different emails), and I was repeatedly given conflicting information. I was also charged an unexpected $225 fee, which was never clearly explained or justified. The lack of coordination and consistency between agents made the entire process confusing and frustrating.
What concerns me most is that there appeared to be serious issues with how some documentation was handled during my booking, including what seemed like inconsistent or unreliable reservation information being issued. This raises serious questions about internal controls and oversight, and I strongly believe ASAP Tickets should investigate how such situations are being handled by their staff.
My experience with Air Canada was also very disappointing. On May 31st at the Edmonton airport, I was treated rudely by staff during a very stressful travel situation. I did not feel respected as a customer, and the interaction escalated unnecessarily. I was not the only passenger being treated this way, which makes me believe there is a wider issue with customer service training and professionalism.
Overall, I am deeply dissatisfied with both ASAP Tickets and Air Canada. I would strongly advise others to be cautious and ensure all details are clearly confirmed in writing before proceeding with bookings through ASAP Tickets. I also hope Air Canada takes customer service training more seriously to improve how passengers are treated in the future.
I have the name of the agent that did dummy tickets to air Canada flights as asap tickets screwed up again.so this agent decided to help out let's make up dummy reservations to make it look like u did have a return ticket. Guess what air Canada asap tickets the agent lied to u on the phone and covered up asap tickets mistakes
So let's talk
I recently flew with Air Canada in…
I recently flew with Air Canada in Economy Class and, unfortunately, it was one of the most uncomfortable flight experiences I have ever had.
The legroom was shockingly limited. I am only 172 cm (5’8”) tall, yet my knees were touching the seat in front of me for most of the flight. I have flown Economy on other airlines, including Southwest, and had significantly more space and comfort. The difference was remarkable.
The seat width was equally disappointing. The seat felt extremely narrow, and even the seatbelt dug into my hips, making the flight uncomfortable from start to finish.
What was even more concerning was the cleanliness of the aircraft. When we boarded, it was obvious that the cabin had not been properly cleaned. There was visible dirt on seats, tray tables, and surrounding areas. Passengers should not have to clean their own seating area before using it.
The lack of space combined with the poor condition of the cabin made this a very negative experience.
For the price I paid, this experience was simply unacceptable. I would seriously hesitate to choose Air Canada again and cannot recommend it to friends or family. Air Canada needs to do a much better job maintaining its aircraft and providing a minimum standard of comfort for its passengers.
Extremely disappointing.
Air Canada cancelled my flights to extort me for $1,000US.
I booked a roundtrip on Air Canada for August 2026. I booked this trip in September 2025. First of all, let me tell you: they literally rebooked my trip *five times* between September 2025 and March 2026 - which was absolutely insane in and of itself. But today, 11 June 2026, they emailed me and told me "one of your four legs was cancelled and we are not going to rebook it. Your only option is cancellation."
Great. Mind you, I booked my flights for $750 US, and the prices are now $1,750 US (+$1,000).
I will NEVER FLY AIR CANADA AGAIN. AVOID!!
Rude Staff Forced Early Check of Expensive Carry-on at PHX – Poor Customer Service
I flew Air Canada Rouge flight AC1730 from Phoenix to Montreal on June 11, 2026 as the first leg of a long-awaited vacation to Europe.
At the check-in counter, I was forced to check my Tumi aluminum carry-on bag downstairs before TSA, even though I asked multiple times to take it to the gate so I could personally hand it over. The agent was dismissive and said they would “just tell me the same thing at the gate anyway.” When I politely pushed back, another staff member loudly interjected and yelled at me, saying “We already have you a ticket, it doesn’t matter” and that I would “receive my bag at my final destination.”
I was treated very poorly at 5:00 AM while simply trying to protect an expensive piece of luggage. I was calm and reasonable the entire time and even offered to gate-check the bag instead.
The way I was spoken to was completely unprofessional and unnecessary.
This kind of behavior is unacceptable, especially when traveling internationally with valuable belongings. I expect better from Air Canada.
Worst experience with customer service…
Worst experience with customer service and flight. To and from Montreal both flights were canceled. I would never fly Air Canada again.
Sadly AC learn nothing from previous complaints
Sadly AC learn nothing from previous reviews. I am yet to fly with them but have experienced their Customer Care - or should that be "Customers - we don't care!" I booked 3 international flights last year (due to fly June/July this year) - and have experienced 6 changes to flights, seats and aircraft. Had paid for extra-legroom seats but was rebooked in regular economy with seats allocated by a computer which did not recognise my right to extra leg room seats, no explanation given, no refund offered. Worse - I was advised of this flight, seat and aircraft change by email, yet when I sign in to AC website and check "My trips" the former flight number, aircraft and seat numbers are unchanged! Try to contact "Customer (no) Service" and it seems a robot responds, does not read your email and simply spits out "Check out our website' (which never provided the information you need) or call our reservations/customer service number. The only problem is they never answer the phone - I spent 5 hours on three calls to try to speak to someone and finally gave up. I even wrote a snail mail to their CEO - and what did I receive in response? No answers to my relatively simple questions but telling me, just like the robot responses - to check the website of phone their non-answering phone number. I just hope their pilots and engineers are more competent than their Customer Relations team!
Horrible ability to handle situations
Horrible ability to handle situations. 2 hours delay and still not taking off yet. Long time delay is the worst experience one can get from flying. Just speechless on efficiency. There are people waiting for me in Paris for next plan and 2 hours past still no idea when to take off.

Finally on my way from Stockholm to Mexico via Toronto. Booked business and was so looking forward to the trip. And my first flight wit the airline.
The crew come late.
Just boarded. No AC working, took forever to get something to drink almost no storage and cramped seat and the smallest screen I ever have had.
And to know that the next flight will be even smaller.
This is definitely not what I payed for.
We had unfortunately an Airbus 330.
Glad I’m not flying back with them.

Air Canada staff have this special je ne sais quoi rudeness and lack of grace that makes you question whether you are a paying customer or a recipient of a begrudging government relocation program or misguided charity. Fascinating.
First time with AC. Never again.
Travelling with my wife from London to Montreal. Paid for business, downgraded at check-in. 3 additional seat moves around the cabin, separating us.
Treated like a pinball. Unhelpful, unapologetic and now a fight for refund.
Atrocious airline.
The worst airline in north America
The worst airline in north America. This year they cancelled 4 of 5 flights, and they do everything to not compensate like they should. They are rude, and it’s always a logistic nightmare. When it’s not a cancelled flight, it’s about lost luggage and it takes multiple month to get your money back.
Life is Too Short to Waste it chasing Air Canada
If I could leave no stars I would. Air Canada is hands-down the WORST airline in the entire world. Good luck trying to get through to them, AT ALL, on the phone or via email. There is no such thing as customer service. Every other airline offers text chat, call Centre and email. Not Air Canada. I have used multiple phones and called various listed numbers. I have been trying for over a week. A similar experience was had a few years ago when I had the displeasure of booking with them. After being on hold for three hours I generally give up and try the next day. They over charge, have make schedule changes that don’t suit and then you can’t even lodge an online form to request your refund. Please save yourself some heartache and fly with someone else, anyone else. Life is too short to deal with Air Canada.
Air Canada damaged my luggage and then…
Air Canada damaged my luggage and then spent the next three months avoiding responsibility.
What started as a damaged baggage claim turned into one of the worst customer service experiences I have ever had.
For three months I have sent emails, followed their procedures, provided documentation, and patiently waited for a resolution. Instead of helping, Air Canada repeatedly shifted responsibility, delayed responses, ignored follow-ups, and left me doing all the work.
The most disappointing part is not the damaged suitcase itself, but the complete lack of accountability afterward. When an airline damages a passenger’s property, the least it can do is handle the claim professionally. Air Canada failed to do even that.
Three months later, my case remains unresolved.
If you trust Air Canada with your luggage, be prepared for the possibility that if something goes wrong, you may spend months fighting for answers while being passed from one department to another.
I expected better from Canada’s flagship airline. Instead, I received damaged baggage, endless frustration, and absolutely no meaningful support.
Three months. Countless emails. Zero accountability.
Horrible with a capital 'H'
If I could could give it a 1/2 star I would! Flight delays and missed 2 days of our trip going from Ontario to Sydney, Nova Scotia for my daughter's graduation from the engineering program at The Canadian Coast Guard Academy class of 2026... I mean I hardly travel and this was a huge deal for our family... they completely ruined our time with our daughter. Not to mention the extra cost, time and stress of rebooking an extra hotel room in Halifax plus canceling and rebooking the rental car (Shout out to the staff at Hertz Halifax Airport!! AMAZING SERVICE)
I wish the east coast had Via Rail. They are amazing! Guaranteed to get you where you need to be no matter what. Superior service to customers.... comparatively, Air Canada IS THE WORST WAY TO TRAVEL. I will NEVER FLY AGAIN... we will take more time and go by train or drive.
Frequent flyer, worst customer service of any airline I've used"
I've flown all over the world and dealt with plenty of airlines, and Air Canada stands out for the wrong reasons.
Two problems made this trip miserable. First, my fare allowed no carry-on at all, which meant everything had to be checked and I was left with nothing on board for a long flight. That restriction was not made clear when I booked.
Second, and worse: I tried to change my seat to an exit row and could not reach a single human being to do it. I spent over five hours on the phone with customer service across multiple calls. No callback, no answer, no resolution. Five hours is not a wait time, it's a wall.
For an airline that markets itself on international service, this is unacceptable. A seat change is a basic request, and being unreachable for that long tells me the support system is broken. I expected far better and I'll be thinking twice before booking with Air Canada again
Don't fly with this company
Where to start. Everytime we fly with this airline there are constant delays, canceled flights, and issues that plague the whole experience. This is not a takedown of the people who unfortunately work for this company. Im sure they are doing there best in bad circumstances, but after flying with other companies like EVA airlines you really see the difference. I only fly with this company when I dont have another option.
Disappointing experience
This review is about our in flight experience only as all booking etc done by a travel agent.
Cabin crew seemed welcoming enough at first but as the flight went on(9.5 hours) service levels, smiles, helpfulness all went downhill. Food was average at best, although coffee was good. Items were dumped on your tray with no care or thought. When clearing up there were some scowling looks if you weren’t ready.
On our return flight for some unexplained reason my wife and I were seated separately in different parts of the plane - cabin staff had no interest, no empathy and were no help at all. Looking at other reviews this seems to be normal business practice for this airline.
In addition to all this, tannoy communications from both cabin crew and the flight deck were inaudible. For some things like announcing the start of food service, maybe not a big deal, but perhaps the safety presentation at the start of the flight should be audible ?
Overall pretty poor and we won’t be using them again.

On January 1st 2026 I left a bag on an Air Canada flight to Belgium containing gold jewelry and two watches, extremely valuable personal items.
It has now been 5 MONTHS and I have received ZERO response from Air Canada.
I also want to point out something that many passengers experience: Air Canada deliberately makes their complaint process as complicated and confusing as possible so that frustrated passengers give up. Broken links, endless redirects, automated replies that lead nowhere, all designed so that nobody successfully complains. This is a disgrace.
I contacted Brussels Lost & Found directly and they confirmed the bag never left the plane. Air Canada is fully responsible.
I am extremely disappointed and I kindly ask Air Canada to please look into my case urgently and contact me as soon as possible. I just want my belongings back or to know what happened to them.
