Huge customer service improvement

The reviews haven't looked so great in years gone. I believe they have listened in 2026.

I purchased an ADSB unit and it took a month to figure out that they had held it in will call so right before my trip I called them and they say that they can send it second day UPS ground and it'll be to me before Saturday, by Friday, now I get an email saying that it's going to be Saturday afternoon... So that's basically a whole day wasted on the island where I have a hotel. And I'm not even sure the weather is going to be flyable Sunday. Not acceptable

I purchased a Concord battery from another company and what they shipped was 19 months old. They were trying to dump old inventory on customers. The battery I received from Aircraft Spruce was 3 weeks old. This was much better service than the other company

I placed an order on April 29th 2025…

I placed an order on April 29th 2025 with the delivery date of 7-10 business days. 2 weeks went by and I emailed and they said they were out of stock and I would be getting the item in 2 weeks. Another 2 weeks go by and I call them and they said another week. I asked since I have been inconvenienced, could they do expedited shipping. They said no that I would have to pay for that. It has been a month and a half. You would think they would eat the cost of shipping for all this confusion. I ever received the order, I would be surprised. I will not do business with them again.

Watch-Out for Unrealistic Shipping Charges

Ordered a replacement battery for my Aspen Evolution avionics, a very small battery (smaller than your hand), weight less than 4oz. Shipping price is not disclosed at purchase and asked for overnight. Received a 12x12x13 in box weighing 3+ LB and was charged $330 in shipping ... hurts for a $300 battery ... I wish I was warned about that surprise!!!

damaged item

I move my aviation sh0pping endeavors back to globalmachinegenius for some reasons, Aircraft spruce return policy is bad, things are over priced, items I ordered was damaged, could barely make use of it.

Shipping department is a joke

Yes, one star at best. Three orders in the last two months and now three calls to customer service. All relating around their shipping department. First one was damaged sheet aluminum as a direct result of poor packaging. I was able to use some of it so I agreed with customer service to split the cost of the material. Second one was overcharging on shipping because they misjudged the weight on their online ordering software. And just now I am missing parts on an order. Each time aircraft Spruce did make it right, but not without challenge. Really getting fed up with their customer service attitude that I do get and just got and their shipping department being inadequate and poorly managed.

Very poor service

Very poor service. I was sent the wrong part. It cost me for the mechanic to come over 1 hour each way and pay him. The plane will be disabled for a week or two until the mechanic comes back.
One person said yes our mistake the “new guy sent wrong part.”
Manager tried to get into the whose wrong mode with me being part of their mistake. No I gave them the correct part number and they sent the wrong part!

Return policy is horrible

Return policy is horrible. ASS wants 15% and shipping refund and pay return shipping and offering an in-store credit for the balance. All on a crappy part that I would never put on any airplane.

Aircraft Spruce charged me to NOT receive my package

Order was placed for 20 items. This order was split into two shipments. Shipment for box 1 containing 15 items arrived without issue. Box #2 with 5 items does not arrive and I receive an email from UPS stating "seller requested return of package." I call Aircraft Spruce cust service and spoke with Bernadette to find out what's going on, and I'm told that UPS is being 'wonky' lately and that the box is coming back and that i'm going to be charged the shipping on it for ~$20. UPS is their hired delivery service and if the two of them can't get a package to the customer they expect the customer to pay for this nonsense all the while waiting on they parts they ordered. Parts that would be here if I had ordered from another vendor. There are too many other options for buying parts to have to deal with slow, expensive, unreliable shipping much less being charged for this company's shortfalls.

Don't give Spruce your Credit Card details

Recently had to order parts which would only allow payment be Credit Card, not Paypal. Spruce made two deductions from my C/C account for the same order. Thinking I was being scammed after the firsr deduction, which had no relation to an order number or the amount of my order, I suspended my C/C account and contacted Spruce's so called "International Customer Service Dept" to find out if they had made the deduction. Indeed they had, "as partial payment for my order". When I asked them to notify me if they were going to make multiple deduction from my C/C and send me their invoice for same, they refused to do so saying that was not their policy as the deduction was part payment for an Order I had authorised.No mention on their website that they are going to make multiple deductions as part payment for an order.
This was the second of two incidents involving Spruce's use of my credit card, which is why I was so suspicious of this deduction. The original incident occurrerd when some employee of Spruce went on a spending spree with my credit card details all around the Spruce's Carona facility, making multiple purchases from various retailers all in the vacinity of Spruce's Carona warehouse, the day aftyer I placed a credit Card order with them. I know it was a Spruce employee because Spruce are the only overseas facility that I have ever used my credit card with (but never again). Spruce was completely uncooperative in investigating this and completely failed to give me any information on any investigations they had made. Dont trust them with your credit Card details; they are totally unreliable.

Horrible service !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

True, they have a lot of stuff, and true, often what we need that is not available elsewhere. HOWEVER; they are horrible with refunds and credits. They NEVER do it the first 3 times. Always takes several calls to get credited for parts that have been returned. The call that "floating your dough". Banks do it for a living; you or i would be arrested.

They continue to suffer from horrible customer service. This time an AOG part was delayed 7 days with no notification because of THEIR mistake.

I'm done, never again, fini, adios muchacho. I just spent 20 minutes talking to their PR specialist; she called me, to resolve our differences. Nice conversation, all resolved, everyone friends......until she sent me to accounting to clear up a double credit they had issued 6 months ago without anyone being notified. Still no problem until they wanted to charge me $3 for a "processing" fee....to process the correction to THEIR mistakes. Done ....i can buy parts at 40 other places.

Chapter..pick a number;
After 21 months....that is correct.....i now get a bill for the credit the issued last year. Do they ever stop screwing up?
Note: in that time we have spent over $8000 on parts for our 2 acft.. We could have spent it with Spruce...we didn't.

Owner personally solved the issue!

I bought a carb from AS&SC last spring. Carb did not perform well. Accelerator pump would not pump fuel for starting. I sent it back but carb manufacturer balked. Mr. Jim Irwin personally rectified the situation and issued me a full refund. AS&SC are my only choice for all the parts I needed for my aircraft for over 2 decades!. Highly recommended!

Aircraft spruce is not truthful on their shipment time estimates.

It seems like Aircraft spruce is getting in the habit of click bate on their shipping time frame. Their site will say one thing until you have processed your order and then the delivery either stalls out somewhere or you get a date, weeks or months later for shipment. They are apologetic when you call but that does nothing for my shipment.

Dishonest Business Practices

I returned an unopened product (the A20 Headset) due to it being a duplicate gift on the assurance directly from the company that I would receive a full refund. Three weeks later, I received an email notification that my product had been received by Aircraft Spruce and a store credit had been applied, less the $200+ restocking fee. If I had known they were going to renege on their word, I would have either kept the headset or sold it myself. It's not the ambiguous return policy or even the money, it's the underhanded manner in which Aircraft Spruce retrieved their product back from me and kept the cash. Shop for your equipment anywhere else.

Poor customer service

I ordered a case of oil, I got charged but it never showed up.

Aircraft Spruce never answer their phones.
I am assuming they are going out of business.
