If I could give this rating a negative…

If I could give this rating a negative review, I would! I purchased three items online over a month ago, and none of which have arrived. I only received one email saying that one item had been dispatched two days after purchase, however, nothing has come and there is no tracking number. I cannot get a hold of customer care, no one is responding and there is no phone number that actually connects. Absolutely disgusting customer service. I am not surprised that the company went into liquidation. What a joke!

DO NOT shop at Alice McCall

I purchased 3 items from Alice McCall online on 26th of October spending over $200. 2 of the 3 items are not only off/wrong size, but so damaged that you can see the damages clearly/visibly. I kindly reached out to their customer service to request a refund for items I was extremely disappointed with and they denied a refund due "final sale". The website did NOT specify that it was a final sale and NOT only that why would I want to keep damaged items? Regardless of it being a final sale, isn't it their responsibly to replace the items with a non-damaged item/or refund a customer their hard working dollar? Very shameful! I will never shop at Alice McCall.

Omg I’m so shocked!

Omg I’m so shocked!! Why am I paying $500+ for an item to come wrapped in crinkled paper and dirty plastic?? The item I received was clearly tried on a lot because it smelled and has lots of its feathers missing. Whenever you return something online, they only give you 3 months to buy something new, and you cannot buy it in-store. 3 months is illegal in the State of Victoria!! I have had better experience with AliExpress.

To use a gift card worth $600 and now they change their mind randomly and they will not honor it. Terrible return policy. Do not shop here

Still waiting for someone to get back…

Ok, somebody finally contacted me after 2 weeks and offered for me to take my faulty pants into the store to get the button fixed…. These pants cost $245! I did get the option of a “credit note” pending on me spending a further $15 to send the faulty product back. Even the lady at the post office was surprised at this! So I was issued my credit note that day to be redeemed within 2 months. Most items are more expensive so it looks like it’s a win win for Alice McCall.

Customers always complain when they don't get the answer they want, I dealt with a Bianca, and she was wonderful, she told me my options and explained the policies on their site, which I should have read, it wasn't the answer I wanted but she was fair and honest

Their sizing has changed!

Their sizing has changed!! I purchased a size 12 dress, but it was more like a size 8.

They also wouldn't return because it was sale

Return incorrect sizing.

I would like to give a shout out to Antonella Catasti in customer service as she was exceptional in her role by providing me with instant updates of the progress for my return garment as we were having problems with the courier picking up from my house.

What was to be a simple process but no fault of Antonella, it was the courier but finally After 3 gruelling days she managed to have the courier picked it up which show her patience and dedication to get the courier to do their job correctly in the first place.

If I could I would have giving her a 10 star review.

Once again thank you Antonella.

I have been trying to get to the…

23rd March update- customer service came back to me after 24hours and they gave me some options which was excellent. They had offered a free returns as it was a defect on their part and send another one. As I had plans to wear it before, I opted for a discount on another buy so happy in the end.

I have been trying to get to the customer support for the past day without any replies.

I bought a play suit that is sheer and the slip is missing in the package. Whilst the size was good and the outfit beautiful, it cannot be worn without the slip as it is sheer. 5/5 on outfit 0/5 on customer support.

Terrible!!

Terrible!!! Do not buy from their online shop. All of the information they state around dispatch and shipping timings are not correct. Plus their customer service is non-existent. No one has responded to my emails, nor has anyone answered the customer care phone line. I took to calling a store in Sydney, where they proceeded to tell me that they also can’t get hold of customer care. My order is nowhere to be seen and I can’t even get in touch with anyone to help. What a joke of a company.

Terrible customer service

Customer service reps will tell you your problems are too bad. Don't bother purchasing if you are usually a size 12/14 because their sizing is way small. Their sizing chart is wrong & their customer service team are happy to leave you with hundreds of dollars of credit note when you can't purchase anything because nothing fits.

Worst online shopping ever.

Worst online shopping ever.
The customer service is not here for customers but to make excuse not to help. Truly disgusting.

The first time I bought two dresses, one of them got a grey mark on it. I took the picture and the service said it’s not visible , they suggest to pay me 30 dollars to dry clean. I returned it and request to full refund , but they said they can only refund credit notes and customers need to pay for their own postage. How ridiculous !

Then I used the credit note to purchase the Little Journey Blazer . In the guide they suggest the customers to buy one size up. Due to my last experience , I did choose one size up , as their size 6 also runs small .

Then the jacket turns out to be too big . So I contacted them again for exchange , they told me they don’t have exchange and ask me to refund and repurchase. This is so redundant! And the customer service is so rude too ! They said the guide is just a guide, and refuse to provide the actual measurement. This is so ridiculous. Need to pay for the postage for their misleading information!

Have reported this dodgy company to the consumer’s right department.

It is the MOST DISGUSTING retail company I have met. They should not run business

This company just keeps getting worse.

This company just keeps getting worse.. if that’s even possible. Never in my entire existence have I encountered such terrible customer service. After being forced to accept a store credit instead of a refund, I reluctantly went online to use the credit which was only valid for three months. I placed the order on November 30th and as of today, December 21st, it has not shipped out as yet. Orders are supposed to take 2-10 days according to their website, so I reached out via email requesting additional information. 5 days later and no response. I decided to call and no customer service representatives were available. I then made a comment on their Instagram and they said they would send a dm to help me. They did, then completely ignored my message after I gave them the order number to look into the issue

I have no idea what to do at this point.. super frustrating! Alice McCall certainly does not care about their customers at all

The worst business in retail

The worst business in retail !
That company would not process a refund on the grounds that the product is not true to size.
It’s sad that in times of online shopping boom , one isn’t able to return an item.

There are plenty of other ethical business to shop at.

They are going into voluntary administration!

Do NOT purchase from them !

Awful customer service.

First of all I would like to start that the reviews are pretty accurate and the seldom comment here saying that those are fake it was probably written by one of Alice McCalls employees.

So i have ordered from this brand twice and both times they screwed up so bad.
First time it happened I thought maybe it was my bad luck and never thought to check their reviews. Second time it happened recently. So, November 24 i placed an order for 3 items that were part of a set and have received a confirmation email that my order was received but didn't give me an approximate delivery time. SeveraL days later I emailed their costumer service to check the status of my order and one of their girls tells me "as we mentioned in the confirmation email it will take up to 4-10 business days for your order to be shipped but our team will try their best to ship it as soon as possible" Ok, I said will be waiting.
Two weeks pass by, then I receive a notification from DHL that i am expecting a shipment but still don't hear anything from their staff store. i assumed this was the parcel from them as it was coming from Australia.
Only the next day when the parcel was on it's way I received an email from them saying that we are happy to announce that a part of your order is on it's way which was the pants and the skirt from the set, and the top was missing.
I thought i was dreaming, how on earth this can happen to me twice with the same brand. I shop online all the time inclusive but never have I seen such terrible service. I emailed them to ask how come only the bottoms from the set were send, and how come they didn't email me before sending everything as I would have cancelled the entire order. I didn't half of the set.
Obviously i read all of the reviews and have realized that there is no way they will cover the shipping for my return, but I still asked them to.
Then they got back to me saying that they would return my money for the jacket and they are happy to accept the bottoms back, however for a store credit and they would not cover the shipping costs.
My question now is, why would i want store credit in their store who are so unprofessional and they have no idea what good customer service is. Number two why didn't they refund me the money for the jacket when they knew this was not available. I am still waiting for the refund to show up.
I hope future clients do check these reviews before thinking to place an order.

Will Not refund

If I could not give a star i would! Terrible service. I tried contacting multiple times and left emails and messages which were not answered about a refund of an online purchase. I eventually found Head Office number in sydney. They cannot refund my money for 2 dresses (which we know are very expensive!) and only offer a store credit which is valid for 3 months. They are in voluntary administration. Be careful about buying anything from them!

I purchased an outfit directly from the Alice McCall website to be shipped to the U.S. I’ve purchased their stuff before but it was always through the a U.S based store such as Revolve etc.

The first time ordering from their actual website and it was a nightmare. Despite having multiple items in the same size, when this outfit arrived, the skirt was too small. I had to return it and I found it I would only receive a credit note since I got a 20% discount.. Okay, no big deal I thought. This is where I was shocked: customers are responsible for their own shipping costs. I ended up paying $198.00 USD just to have the item returned.. how insane is that!! I’m super displeased. Now I have a credit note but I’m so hesitant to ever shop from them again
