Legalised blackmail. Alliance accepted an appeal then 31 MONTHS LATER changed their minds and instructed TraceDebt to collect £170. TraceDebt have confirmed to me that parking fines can be pursued... See more

Disgusting, deceitful way to run a people based business
Only put one star as there’s no facility for zero/minus stars. Needed toilet but would have stayed, spent some money and had lunch as it is beautiful. In Polzeath, we parked at Seaview car park near Waterfront at Polzeath. Machine was playing up and would only do a £1.00 30 minute tally. After finally dealing with the difficult machine I paid contactless, ran to the toilet and was back leaving the car park in less than 30 minutes. Have now received a £60 fee and can’t contact them directly. For us, they’ve shot Polzeath businesses in the foot as we will never again visit and can only give poor recommendations on experience. This is certainly not the way to treat people if you want them to return. Cornwall’s Just Park facilities were much better, they allowed us extra time when we had to contact them due difficulties with their app.
BE VERY AWARE!
Harlyn Bay Cornwall
Be very aware! They use ANPR cameras at the entry/exit gates to log arrival AND departure times. This is the period you will be charged for, NOT the time stated on your purchased ticket, to the time you return to your vehicle.
Irrespective of how few minutes over the paid period you are, you WILL receive a PCN. A PCN is £60 if paid immediately without question, but rises to £100 and then £170 as time goes by, which is designed to ensure you do not dispute the PCN.
This is NOT a service, IT IS A MONEY MAKING MACHINE.
Disappointed with humanity
This company stands for everything that’s wrong with the world today. Shouldn’t be allowed.
Received a fine for ‘not parking within…
Received a fine for ‘not parking within the lines’ unfortunately the car parking space wasn’t actually longer enough for my car so the back over hung slightly over the rear line… yet a car could still fit in the spot behind shown in the photos on the fine! Absolute cowboys! The car was parked straight with all 4 tyres within the lines. The car park at perranporth beach was also that small that it took 3 point turns at every corner to even get out. The car was only a pick up and not enormous
Literally highway robbery!!!
Like everyone else this a shocking…
Like everyone else this a shocking parking company. Went to Cornwall and machine was out of order, very poor phone signal so could t download parking app and their phone lines not working. Spent 10 mins trying to sort, have up moved to a car park around corner and paid. Alliance have sent me a PCN for £100, I've appealed and that has been rejected on the basis of no free parking and an unreasonable amount of time spent in the car park. No consideration for attempts made.
Received a parking fine for an overstay…
Received a parking fine for an overstay of 16 minutes in trevone. 15 minutes of which was spent queuing for the pay machine. Appealed with for declined along with appealing to the iac which has also been decline. They are now expecting a payment of £100 in 14 days otherwise court proceedings threatened. Absolutely disgusting company money grabbing thief’s with no compassion. £100 to a family in cost of living crisis is crippling. Backed into a corner now but will complain to local council. Has anyone not paid ?
Avoid these car parks at all costs
Avoid these car parks at all costs! Even if you paid at the machine you will receive a PCN unless you add at least another half hour to your time. Be warned! Totally agree with Jonny M’s recent Review below. Purchased our tickets and returned to car at the right time but unbeknown to us Big Brother was watching and photographing vehicles entering and departing. When you have to queue to get in, queue to pay at machine and then queue to drive out (as Sea View Car Park in Polzeath has only one in/out entrance) of course you are going to add time on. They should be put out of business. We will not be returning! I have emailed the local Council to complain and suggest everyone else does.
I would rate this company minus 5 stars…
I would rate this company minus 5 stars if I had the chance to!!!
Like all other negative reviews avoid Alliance Parking at all costs! They are robbing gits that have no lenience to drivers who are slightly over their stay.
Absolute farce of a company…
Modern Day Highway Robbers
These crooks shouldn't be allowed to operate as they do, absolute shower and when you appeal they just block you and won't answer questions. How they get away with taking a time stamped photo of your car on entry which in no way relates to the time printed on the ticket that you get when you finally manage to park and queue for said ticket is absolutely beyond me (they use the photo time as the start time and not the time printed on the ticket that you bought... yes I know, very naughty, cheaty little method of scamming people). Modern day highway robbers and nothing else, should be put out of business due to their unscrupulous business methods.
Hayle Riviere Towans car…
Pulled onto Hayle Riviere Towans car park to ring a restaurant to book a meal all other hayle car parks are free after 4pm which is great but not this one we didn’t realise it was owned by alliance what a rotten company will not be going back to park there ever again better to park in hayle and get the bus up to lots cheaper as well
An unethical and immoral company.
An unethical and immoral company.
This company chose to send five parking charges in the post four of which were retrospective.
After being a made aware for the first time that a space in our local car park was not an allowed space I paid the parking charge notice and of course never parked there again.
I have over the course of time seen many cars parked there and thought it was safe.
Alliance parking continued to send four further parking charge notices 3 of which I paid their notice states if I didn't pay quickly I would end up paying £170 instead of £60.
Buy the fifth parking charge notice I was feeling desperate and I decided to appeal to alliance parking first as that is their protocol then as of course I had no joy with them I took it to and independent appeal.
Sadly posting parking charge notices is lawful the appeals committee committee did say that at any stage of my paying all of these parking charge notices alliance parking could have stopped the process and they chose not to.
Lawful unfortunately yes moral and ethical definitely no.
Unfair and unsociable.
I (along with many others if you simple Google Harlyn Bay Parking) have been unfairly penalised for not buying a ticket fast enough at Harlyn Bay despite the impossibility of doing so given queues, challenges in downloading the app over a poor mobile signal and the natural time it takes to get a family out of the car. I think these practices are completely unethical when people ARE paying for their tickets (I can understand if people are deciding not to pay at all). The issue could be resolved by offering a 10 minute grace period or simply the app or machine telling the driver what time they drove past the camera to avoid a fine by 'backdating' their start time.
AVOID!!!
AVOID! Wicked, gluttonous, money grabbing company! They just want your money and not for parking but from hefty fines they issue. If you are even a second late leaving the car park, it'll cost you £60, £100 or £170! Every second counts! They will not negotiate with you or be prepared to consider any extenuating circumstances. If you leave late because you fell and broke your leg - they don't care, you will pay a fine! If you did not receive the PCN letter, they don't care, they will charge you the higher amount. Their pay machine is broken - it'll be YOUR fault, not theirs, you will be fined! One can go on and on and on... The bottom line is - AVOID at all costs! Their car parks are a trap, set up with the sole purpose of catching you out and sending you a fine! Read the reviews and the FAQ section on their website - it says it all!
PS Shame there isn't a 0 star rating, as it would be all they would get but one has to pick at lease 1 star! :(
rip off company
rip off paid £5 charge displayed ticket wrong reg on ticket apealed but fined £100?
Shysters
Used JustPark app in Padstow and entered correct registration number, decided to change parking duration. Went back a page on the app, changed duration and paid for parking. It wasn't until I got the PCN did I realise that the JustPark app had re-selected my default registration number. So, I have proof that I paid for my parking session but not for the correct car (my wife's). Appeal was immediately rejected with no way of contacting Alliance to discuss the issue further. I've now gone to the IAS but expect nothing to come of it.
Alliance are the pits and I hope they get their comeuppance at some point.
I'm going to contact Padstow Town Council to express my ire, please do the same as it might change things going forwards.
Cornwall is a dead zone
Cornwall is a dead zone the majority of beaches, Harlyn being one. Machines always very slow, not working or so busy you can queue for ten minutes and that’s without walking five minutes to the machine but the camera starts timing you as soon as you enter what a disgusting money grabbing travesty for Cornwall
Hayle Beach Car Park (love the beach but not the carpark)
Oh, what a heartwarming tale of family togetherness during the oh-so-rare post-Covid break! I mean, who doesn't love shelling out a fortune for a whopping six hours of parking? And naturally, being just a teensy-weensy six minutes late in Cornwall's time warp is clearly a crime against humanity deserving of a fine larger than my monthly grocery bill. But fear not, dear folks, for our beloved Cornwall seems to have embraced the trend of hosting its very own carnival of scammy, cowboy-themed car parks. How quaint!
Oh, how utterly delightful it must be to receive a charmingly menacing letter demanding the modest sum of £170, only to be offered the chance to settle for the bargain price of £100! Clearly, these modern-day Robin Hoods have perfected the art of extracting hard-earned cash from unsuspecting victims. I must applaud their innovative approach—forget automatic number plate readers like in sophisticated places like London, these car park wizards are all about manual calculations and a touch of future-predicting mysticism. Move over, Marty McFly!
And let's not forget the impeccable accreditation and membership programs run by none other than the portly, well-fed feline ex-bosses. After all, who needs impartiality and fairness when you can have connections and a cozy relationship with those who hold the gavel? I must admit, the allure of appealing to these benevolent overlords sounds positively thrilling—assuming, of course, that one has a strong penchant for masochism and a stockpile of stress balls.
But ah, dear readers, before we get too carried away, let us not miss the larger picture. The rise of these car park charlatans in our modern world is nothing short of a historical parallel to the good ol' 1940s London slum landlords and loan sharks, preying on innocent families just trying to catch a break. So, hats off to you, Alliance Parking owners, for preserving this timeless tradition and allowing us a glimpse into a bygone era of financial exploitation.
In conclusion, my dear Alliance Parking owners, I extend my most heartfelt wishes for a restful slumber in the fiery abyss of hell. Your dedication to extracting every last penny from the masses is truly commendable, and I can only hope that you find an equally enthusiastic reception in the depths below. Bravo!
Awful Company
Awful Company. I am disabled and it took me several minutes to leave the car park and got a £60 charge for overstaying. If anyone from Cornwall Council is reading this, then please take on board the damage these companies are doing to your tourism. They are a member of the IPC but refuse to follow their guidelines i.e. 10 minute grace to leave the car park. After 40 years of visiting Cornwall this will be my last!
Cowboys outfit
Cowboys outfit - parked Harlan Bay took time to find space due to deep pot holes in car park, had to negotiating same leaving. But fined for over staying my time. Here’s an idea invest in car park and barriers so people pay legit rather than fining them and using funds for directors holidays. This company are working hard to encourage Cornwall tourist trade. It will be a longtime before I visit again.
