Bad business ethics

My spring box which had already been paid for was never shipped. The company was brought back with new owners who are not honoring the missing spring boxes and instead suggesting that customers file with their banks for a charge reversal which is not possible at this point for people who prepaid and offering a small discount toward a future subscription. Egregious lack of responsible from a supposedly 'socially responsible' company.

No Boxes, No Money Back. Run.

I paid $300 for an add on box and a year subscription in November. Got my Winter Box and it was filled with amazing products. Suddenly, spring box rolls around and the company files bankruptcy and is now under new ownership. Paypal won't refund a majority of the customers. New owners are refusing to send out boxes to customers since it wasn't their problem, and we should resubscribe to get them.

I paid for a full year subscription but…

I paid for a full year subscription but indicated that I didn’t want it to automatically renew after that. In the meantime they changed ownership and will no longer fulfill my remaining 2 boxes because my subscription is not ongoing and they don’t have to fulfill under the terms of their agreement. I am taking this as a lesson learned….stay away!!!

Bad Business

As many of the other people on this website have posted, this company has been sold through insolvency proceedings after years of declining service. I would not spend your money at this business given their history. I have paid for 5 boxes that will never be fulfilled by the new owners of the company. A $400 or so lesson learned.

Run - Not a Trusted Company

Run! This company took my money for a whole year in January. I made my selections for my spring box and found that not only did I not receive my box, they stole my money and canceled my membership. Before this, I found the company sent poor products, never offered replacement products when an item was deemed not safe or not as advertised. They also never were able to get the box to your door within the advertised season. Costumer service has gone down hill fast!

Subscription not fulfilled

Subscription not fulfilled. They still owed me my spring box. It will not be sent to me and they will not issue a refund. Stay away from this company. They are going through bankruptcy right now and in the process they are ripping customers and their own vendors off. Many of the vendors who supply the boxes have not been paid and are owed large amounts of money for their products.

Be sure you get all your boxes

I never received my last box..spring 2022 box.
the box said awaiting shipping so I emailed support questioning what was going on. No response. The next thing I see is that the box is cancelled. I emailed support asking why. Still no support. I wish I never supported this company

Slow delivery becomes no delivery & no refund

Annual subscriber since 2020. I renewed for the third time in February 2022; made my spring box selections & just discovered this weekend that my delayed-longer-than-usual box will now never be arriving as the company has been bought out of bankruptcy by new owners who won't be honoring existing subscriptions. That's $220 for a big fat nothing as I found out way too late to claim back on my credit card. If zero stars were available I'd give that rating.

Used to be great, now I will not recieve 3 of the 4 boxes I paid for.

Due to bankruptcy settlement, anyone who paid for a full year but then chose not to renew for the next year will not receive any of the remaining boxes they already paid for. We waited months for the spring box to arrive with no updates until now - saying we won't be getting it. I am attempting to submit a refund request following PayPal's instructions (as directed in the email from Alltrue), and I will update this review if they do actually give me a refund.

If I could give zero stars

If I could give zero stars, I would. I used to love this company and support the cause of helping small businesses. However, they closed with no notice, screwing over the small businesses they said they would help. They failed to pay the majority of them for their goods and through lack of communication and transparency with their customers, failed to mention that they were shutting their doors, taking money for boxes, and not sending out owed subscription boxes or refunding customers. The original owners and the new management haven’t sent a single email with any updates. The only reason customers found out they were closing was from a Forbes article and then a few months later they updated their site. Such a dishonest, corrupt, and horrible company. I would NOT recommend them.

Scammers!!! Do not trust

Scammers. Do not trust this company. They have defrauded both customers and vendors. Some vendors are out hundreds of thousands of dollars. Do not trust. Evil company.

Never buy from them

The company stop their operations in April 2022 without any words. A lot of people left with box not received and paid. Some got charged for auto-renew. Some decided to not auto-renew their subscriptions since we haven't received anything.

Now, the company was bought back. The old subscribers, the one that cancelled their subscriptions, won't receive their box because of that.

They also still haven't paid the small compagnies that Alltrue owe.

Don't trust them.

Stole my money

I enjoyed the boxes for 3 years. Didn’t even mind when shipping took much longer than expected because I really did love the products. Now they won’t fulfill my order that I already paid for AND won’t give a refund. They’ll give me a coupon code though… I’m supposed to buy more and trust I’ll actually get product this time?!? LOL

I have been trying to get a hold of…

I have been trying to get a hold of them since march! no response till today, my marketplace ordered cancelled, which has been paid for since March! and the email says i have to try and get my money back from my bank $200 marketplace order! TRY! might not get it.
As a sorry for the inconvinience a year membership to marketplace for free ... no money to spend at the marketplace just a you can shop there!
the right thing to do even if its new owners would be to refund everyone...good bye alltrue

Buyer beware!!

Scam alert! Never subscribe to this box, no matter what they promise! They’ll take your money, not deliver, then give you some excuses as to why they can’t, but say they can send you the same box you already paid for if you pay for it again at a discount!!

Zero customer support response

I've been trying to contact Alltrue/Causebox for over a week now and I've heard nothing. I adored this subscription and even upgraded to Alltrue + but then out of no where I go to see why my box hasn't arrived and I see my annual subscription was cancelled. No warning, no email, no reason. I've gone to the website to try and contact them however the contact us page goes to "error", I've tried the old help@causebox and the new help@alltrue and again nothing. I've even tried reaching out on instagram and have gotten no response. It really saddens me because now I need to take steps with my bank since the alltrue plus and annual is over $200 which I'd like back if I'm not going to hear anything.

I would love for this to be made right, again I adored this subscription box and had it for over a year. Even when I had to change my plan, I got a full refund and then was able to resubscribe the next month to the annual plan with no problem. However now it's like alltrue shut down and no one will respond to me.

I want to understand why my plan was cancelled, be compensated for this awful experience, and hopefully move on. If I don't hear anything in another week, I've got to contact the bank.

This really breaks my heart and honestly one of the worst customer experiences I've ever had.

Don’t Give Them Any Money!

Like others I subscribed at the beginning of the year. I paid for a full year subscription and the only box I received was Winter. Sounds like the company is out of business. So, I paid for four boxes but will only receive one. Very expensive lesson learned about subscription sites.

scam.

Given the ship time and quality of items received, I cancelled my annual membership after one year. Per their guidelines, when you cancel, instead of being reimbursed for what’s left, you simply receive the rest of the year’s subscription and it doesn’t renew. I was reassured of this by a member of the support team. However, I have yet to receive the fourth and final box of my year’s subscription. I have reached out three times and received no reply. I have now not received a reimbursement nor the merchandise purchased. Expensive company.

I am incredibly frustrated

I am incredibly frustrated. I have contacted you multiple times for a refund. I ordered two items in March, it’s been months, no product. We are moving soon and can’t use them. I loved your company until I started dealing with this and no response. I want my money back.
