There are better car insurance companies
The transition from CODAN car insurance to Alm Brand has been quite problematic. Right from the start, there were multiple mistakes made by Alm Brand. The insurance proposal was mistakenly sent to my husband, along with the wrong address. I contacted them to rectify this and provide my correct name and home address. They assured me that they had received approval from DFIM with my personal information and that I had also given them permission to use my CPR nr. to update the information. All of this has been recorded as evidence. They promised to send all the necessary documentation to my E-boks, but unfortunately, nothing was ever sent. It was only after DFIM sent me a notice through E-boks demanding payment of $4000+ that I discovered that my insurance had been cancelled. A.Brand also change the agreed insurance price to a much higher price and an extensive list of added late payment fees. Alm Brand failed to update the information as agreed and sent all physical documents to the incorrect address. It's frustrating that they acknowledged their mistake but claimed there was nothing they could do about it. It's worth noting that they do have my correct address on file, as we also have house insurance with them. It seems that the transition from Codan to Alm Brand has not been accompanied by proper training for their staff, as their responses and communication have been quite inexperienced.
