This is a fantastic institute that has opened many doors for me. The programs are extremely relevant and take the future demand into consideration.

I joined ALX as a high schools graduate I wasn't sure what I need but since I was in field of computer science I took back-end web development course for 6 months

I was very dedicated and I enjoyed the community and how the courses were structured, the millestones were challenging for me to meet the deadlines

after 3 months of the program I got my first remote job from france, and it was more than a dream for me,

after 6 months of my program I kept getting alot of oportunities mostry from my former ALX mates

and now only 1 year later I'm Growth and Commercial Lead at iKAMBA Creatives, which is very great for me

To be honest I get a lot from alx. I have no words what I get from alx, its a lot😊. My journey in alx is not just abt the skill I get from alx, it also the community I joined, the staff was so welcoming and help as to do hard things. I gain a skill of virtual assistance and the skill of having professional foundation.. known the exact problem statement, the skill of storytelling and creating content. And also in my Data Analytics program I gain a skill of using data to decide the right decision. Its helps me also in my Healthcare career. I want to say thank you for alx.

For those of you that look for datasets yo work with, ALX has real world projects that relate to the African context.
The projects themselves will test your resilience.
I personally enjoyed working with people from varied African countries.
The buddy support system is very helpful. I got stuck on projects alot and whenever I asked for help, at least 10 people reached out to my inbox to support me.
If you go through ALX, you will feel more confident to take on any task.

It was a nice experience. The courses are comprehensive

My overall experience was very good, and the content is well-structured and useful. However, most of the courses, especially in areas like Backend and Cyber Security, rely heavily on theoretical explanations.
I believe these fields require more hands-on practice, such as real-world projects or interactive exercises, to truly understand the concepts.
Adding more practical and engaging content would significantly improve the learning experience.

I love their programs, easy and convenient ways for learning, the support is a lot !!! a lot of mentors and advise, there's more projects and events that are fruitful and there's a lot of opportunities, ALX deserves it's crown.

A few months ago, I was managing tasks manually. Today, thanks to the ALX mindset, I’m building automated content calendars and custom business tools for ESAO Consulting.

I’ve realized that being a Software Engineer isn't just about the code; it’s about solving problems. Right now, I’m using Airtable and n8n to bridge my VA experience with my Frontend skills.

ALX has played a pivotal role in my career journey over the past two years. What I loved about ALX is that they have a holistic approach to learning and you get lifelong skills even if you don't get to use them in your work but they definitely come in handy at unexpected times. I'd say try one, or two of the learning experiences and have a mindset of grit, it's going to be a ride because we do #Hardthings😉

I received a lot of information from ALX.

I like that the programs are so comprehensive. I did the Data Science program and feel confident that I was exposed to at least 90% of the tools and techniques used by data scientists. Even if they gloss over some of the details, at least I know where to go to learn more. My only issue is that certain parts of the course material and the learning management system are broken, so the mentors have to constantly help patch them up. If you weren’t aware of a particular patch early, you may end up wasting a lot of time trying to figure things out on your own.

ALX experience was special in the sense that I felt African in every step; from the content relevance to African challenges to the team shaped with African values. The learning journey that was supposed to be exhaustive ended up being enjoyable because every milestone was celebrated, and the team encouraged endurance.

My journey with ALX has been truly amazing and impactful. The experience not only strengthened my skills but also challenged me to grow both personally and professionally. The learning environment, structure, and support made a real difference in my development.

Because of how valuable the experience has been, I’ve decided to enroll in another course to continue building my skills and expanding my knowledge. I recommend others consider ALX as a worthwhile learning journey.

has been a nice experience overall, but my main concern is that it’s not really designed for people who are working and trying to learn at the same time. Ironically, some of us need to work to afford the school fees, yet the schedule doesn’t fully support that reality. I understand that it’s impossible to suit everyone’s schedule, but there’s definitely room for improvement in that area. The slides can also be quite cumbersome. Aside from these issues, though, it has been a good experience.

Honestly i would recommend ALX to anyone who wants to starts their tech journey, i like the fact that they engage with students and they try to tailor their programs according to our needs, although its been hard but its also been very beneficial, i have noticed big improvements, my coding is getting better

The program’s focus on technology, ethics, culture, structured content, and affordability has been invaluable. It has helped me advance my career to the next level by providing me with key skills in Data Analysis, Salesforce, and Financial Analysis.

And last but certainly not least, there’s its Moonshot goal: to develop 3 million ethical and entrepreneurial leaders by 2035.
