Don’t go near this Company

Bought a Kia Soul off them for £3295. Engine warning light came on. Took it back for them to sort. Engine warning light came back on. Told them I’d no confidence in the car and wanted a refund. They offered me £1000. I’d only driven 1500 miserable miles in it. Can’t sell it or trade it in with an engine warning light on it. £2295 for 1500 miserable miles! My only option is small claims court. Nightmare.

Sold a faulty car

Sold a faulty car, quick enough to take payment but returned the car 2 times to get fixed within the 6 months and was promised it’s fully working with no problems as I had a newborn and 3 children under 5. To only break down 7 months after purchase. Now left with no car which can’t get fixed as would cost £8,000 due to the engine and £13,500 down with children to feed and the loan to pay off!

Bought a van and within 4 months the clutch had completely broke and I was left with a bill of £900. Obviously they wasn’t interested in contributing to this bill despite being liable within 6 months of sale and I was forced to take further action. Avoid.

Refund Returned

A big thank you to Danny and the team.
I paid a deposit to secure a car purchase on the 12th March 23. My receipt was marked refundable and a couple of days later, before they had prepped the car which required servicing and full MOT, I informed AMC that I didn't want to proceed with purchase. I thought it might have been difficult to get my refund paid quickly but I am pleased to say that they have now processed my refund back into my account.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!

AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!! The cars might be 'affordable', but trust me, it'll end up costing you much more than you imagined. I bought a car from here for £2000 7 months ago, 3 months in and the first issues started to arise. I had to replace the fan belt, this was cheap enough to fix and I assumed it was just one of those things. 2 months later, after driving around 2000 miles since I'd bought it, I started to have more problems. This time the head gasket had blown! I had it checked over by a garage and was told it was likely to be a long term issue. I'm self employed and need a car for my work so it was pretty urgent to get it fixed, as every day the car was out of action was a days wages lost. I took the car back to AMC, where they basically said the other garage was wrong and there was no way there was any issues with the head gasket when I'd bought it. I was a little bit untrusting of what they were telling me at this point but I had no choice but to have the head gasket replaced due to the urgency of needing the car. This set me back £600. After 10 days of lost wages, the car was back up and running. A week later, on the motorway, rushing to Nottingham to see a dying family member for the last time, the engine overheated. By this time it was a week before Christmas and there was a 30 day warranty on the head gasket. But I was stuck with a broken down car in Nottingham. I called AMC and was pretty much told tough luck, after dealing with the owner's sarcastic and defensive attitude. Seriously, he WILL deny any wrongdoing regardless of the issues you have and try and fob you off with his favourite 'it's just wear and tear' line. After getting two opinions from two different garages and forking out another £150 in examining the engine in depth, I was told I had 3 options.

1 - pour more money into repairs on a basis of trial and error to see if the issues could be resolved, with no guarantee it would be fixed.
2 - replace the entire engine at a cost of £1500.
3 - scrap the car and buy a new one. However, the mechanic advised that he would just scrap it and that he was shocked they only offered a 30 day warranty on the head gasket.

After a further 2 weeks of lost wages, I had no choice but to scrap the car and buy another on finance. I'm now in so much debt, lost a months wages just before Christmas, whilst dealing with anxiety and depression all this stress has caused, not that AMC care about any of that. And don't be fooled in thinking the 3 month warranty offered on all AMC cars will provide you with at least a few months of security, as it is practically useless and covers NOTHING. Overall, if you need a cheap, quality, reliable car, from a dealer that actually cares about its customers, don't expect to get that from AMC. If you've got a little bit more money to spend, then invest it somewhere else! Don’t give a penny to this dodgy dealer!

AVOID!!! Liars & time wasters!!!

Avoid this company at all costs!!
Read further to find out about the fake mileage, fake service history, false ownership & more!!

I was interested in one of their cars and called to arrange a viewing, they stated the car was not in a condition to be viewed but if I payed a deposit of a hundred pounds they would have it ready. I payed and made an appointment to view. I called on the appointment day to confirm the viewing and they changed the time to 5.30pm - at 5.25pm they called to tell me the car wasn't ready and had failed the MOT! As I had already travelled 40 min and was around the corner I agreed to just view the car without test drive. When I finally saw the car it was in very poor condition with multiple faults and problems however I was "assured" that these were minor issues and would be completely rectified on my next visit with the car ready to drive. When I arrived on time for my next appointment the salesman dealing with me wasn't even there! They had "nipped out". This actually gave me time to check the car which wasn't a "cheap" budget car so expected it to be in pristine condition. However, only the mot failure fault had been fixed. The car was still full of problems including gashed tyres, scratches, rust, knocking noises, faulty electrics. The worst was yet to come when the salesman arrived and I asked to view the service history...
I was told the vehicle had full service history and 2 previous owners with just over 50k on the clock.
The vehicle actually had only a couple of service stamps and SEVEN previous owners!!! The mileage was also incorrect as the car had had a replacement engine - another thing they didn't state until specifically asked.

These people will blatantly lie to your face!
After I refused to buy the vehicle they re advertised the car with the same advert - not amended to show any correct details! Still 2 previous owners!!!

LIARS!!!!! Glad I didn't buy from them and I actually bought a perfect example of the same car for less money from an honest dealer.
