DELIVERY CLAIMS A TOTAL CON

Beware false delivery claims

Their .eu website leads one to believe the order is being processed within the EU and they claim a delivery time of 4-5 working days. Almost 3 weeks after being informed my order had been dispatched it is still impossible to track it, despite reclamation.
Ostensibly passed through Spanish customs ten days ago but still no sign of it. NEVER AGAIN!!!!

I purchased 2 x pairs of shoes on 27/09…

I purchased 2 x pairs of shoes on 27/09 and asked when they will dispatch the shoes on 29/09, only then they said they cannot fulfil 2 pairs, only 1 which is why there is a delay on sending. They sent the other pair and I filed for a refund as it was too tight for my comfortability. I've asked how I can return, they did not reply. I read their website - American Golf has a 30 day return policy on their website. (See below)

"Extended Returns Policy
At American Golf, we want you to shop with confidence. If you are dissatisfied with a purchase from our website, you may return unused products in their original packaging, with any labels intact, within 30 days of receipt for a full refund"

I've returned the parcel before 27.09, paid for tracking 48 Royal Mail and it shows the parcel delivered on 27.09.

I emailed American Golf on 30th, to ask when can I get my refund, showed them the reference number, tracking number, everything.

Chased again on 1st November - no response

Chased again 6th November - still no response.

Really dissapointing and unprofessional.

I expect a email response by today otherwise i'd look to take this up legally as this is my Consumer Rights being breached and broken. I will also go further with a formal complaint.

I wish I could give no stars

I wish I could give no stars. I also wish I had read the reviews on here before buying from them. Bought my son a set of Wilson golf clubs, heads have come off on several irons. They won’t replace and sent to Wilson to fix. They broke after a couple of months and we have been without them for nearly a month now with no communication or indication of when they will be repaired or replaced. The staff at Chester are useless and don’t care. I’m paying £45 per month membership for my son who cannot now play. American golf won’t replace or help with giving any timescales. I would never buy from them again. STAY AWAY

Just been told in American golf Exeter…

Just been told in American golf Exeter that taylormade don’t sell the red ink balls in boxes of 12.
But I could buy them individually at an inflated price.
Not a problem they don’t have them, it’s just the lies from the staff that grinds my gears Everytime 😡

Would give zero if i could

Would give zero if i could

Ordered some Taylor Made Golf Balls Online , on a deal 3 for 2 so ordered 2 of the same expecting a 3rd of the same free , No just got 2 ! Advert is not very clear & is in fact misleading that you have to order 3 at checkout & that qualifies you for the offer.
After 3 attempts at sorting with ‘ customer service ‘ ( & i use that title very loosely , as there is none ) its like banging your head against a wall

Here’s the responses :

Good morning,

Thank you for your response.

I do apologise for the confusion caused by this, as the website does show the 3 for 2 offer.

However, it would be like in store shopping that three boxes would need to be taken to the till, for the offer to then be applied.

Unfortunately, we would not be able to send out the third box.

However, we can issue a refund for the item if this is sent back to us.

Again, apologies for any inconvenience caused.
Kind regards,
Amelia

Subject: Misleading “3 for 2” Offer – Request for Resolution

Dear Amelia,

Thank you for your response.

I appreciate your explanation, however I must point out that the product page for the TaylorMade Distance Plus 12 Golf Ball Pack prominently displayed a “3 For 2” offer. The way this was presented gave the clear impression that the promotion applied automatically when purchasing the product, and at no point during the checkout process was it made obvious that three separate packs needed to be manually added to the basket to qualify.

Under the Consumer Protection from Unfair Trading Regulations 2008, it is unlawful for a business to give misleading information or present it in a way that is likely to deceive the average consumer and affect their purchasing decision. In this case, the “3 for 2” labelling created a reasonable expectation that the extra pack would be included, which influenced my purchase.

Although I understand the standard 14-day cooling-off period has passed, this is a matter of misleading advertising rather than simple change of mind. I am therefore requesting that you either:

Supply the missing pack of golf balls as a goodwill gesture, or
Provide a refund for the product purchased on return.

I trust American Golf values its reputation for fairness and customer satisfaction, and I look forward to your reply within 7 days.

Good afternoon,

Thank you for contacting American Golf.

I do apologise that you have had this issue with your order.

Unfortunately, as the balls were not added to the order, we are not able to get another pack sent out.

I do apologise for any inconvenience caused.
Kind regards,

This is a follow-up to your previous request #95482 "Missing Item"
Dear Tilly,

Thank you for your reply. I appreciate the explanation, however I do feel the 3-for-2 promotion as displayed on your website for the TaylorMade Distance Plus 12 Golf Ball Pack could easily be interpreted by customers as automatically applying when purchasing two boxes, with the third box being supplied free of charge.

The promotional banner (“3 for 2”) appears prominently above the product, but there was no clear instruction at the point of purchase to physically add three boxes to the basket to receive the deal. This has led to my reasonable expectation that the offer would be honoured on two boxes purchased, with the third supplied automatically — as is common practice for 3-for-2 offers in retail.

Given the circumstances and the potential ambiguity in the presentation of the offer, I’d be grateful if you could kindly honour the promotion by sending out the third box as per the advertised deal.

This would save the inconvenience of processing a return for both parties and ensure customer satisfaction.

If I could give zero starts I would - shocking level of customer service

If I could give zero starts, I would! The employees may have an interest in golf but they have zero customer service skills.
My husband had a fitting at an event at the club at which we are members and from that decided to purchase a Wilson fairway 5, not an inexpensive club. We had to chase for Ita arrival at the store after his custom fitting, the store staff didn’t tell us when it had arrived. That should have been our first red flag.
Said club lasted less than 4 months before the head sailed down the fairway after shearing completely off the shaft from a tee shot. So we took it back to American Golf under warranty and were told it would be replaced or repaired within ten days. Here we are six WEEKS later and no sign of a replacement, repair or explanation.

We have been into the store twice to follow-up and called twice seeking an update, each time being promised a call back from the store manager with an update; which has never yet happened.

After another unsuccessful visit today, after being told four days ago that the manager would call me (hasn’t) I’ve told them we need a refund and will buy a replacement club somewhere that stands by their products and cares what good customer service means. But no it’s not that simple - we were sent away again and told to return tomorrow because only a manager can approve a refund of a custom club!

Newsflash American Golf: the Consumer Rights Act 2015 states that if a product is not of appropriate quality and not fit for purpose, which clearly a golf club that loses its head within four months isn’t, you must refund if requested to do so - it’s not rocket science and employees should know this and have the authority to do so. I have spent an inordinate amount of time and money trying to resolve a very obvious problem!
Will never set foot in there once this debacle is finally resolved.

Con artists have taken my money and are…

Con artists have taken my money and are pretending to have lost my order, being elusive and passing blame to local stores! I've phoned in 5 times and every time been told I will receive an email with an update on my order, every time I get nothing back. Highly suspect they're dragging this out past the time period I can cancel the payment through my bank. Do not order from here they will take your money with no intention of fulfilling your order! I'm having to file a fraud case to my bank to reclaim my money american golf still continue to have no update on my order or cancellation request.

I’ve attempted two orders in the last…

I’ve attempted two orders in the last year most recently last week for a pair of golf shoes. Both orders were cancelled due to 'lack of stock or not in a condition to send out'. Both times they trolled out the same excuse in that an IT upgrade is to blame for wrong stock levels. Stay away from them and go to a retailer that can be relied on. Useless!

I would have given no stars but one…

I would have given no stars but one star had to be given to write a review.
I wish I had read the reviews on here before I ever delt with them.
I ordered a pakage golf set off their website on a finance deal of a few quid a month for a year. 3 days after ordering they emailed me saying they had cancelled the order due to the product not being in stock. I emailed them back saying I had already done the finance deal and obviously the finance company had done a hard search on my credit file (which stays on for a year) and taken points off my credit score. They replied saying I could order another product of the same value that's in stock as a substitute.
I ordered another set of clubs and a day later Peter from AG emailed me back saying that they had the new ones in stock but unfortunately the credit company had withdrawn the deal and I would have to re-apply for credit on them.
I called the finance company and they said that they had withdrawn the deal but there would not be a problem given me the same credit deal on the new clubs and all AG had to do was call them and qoute my reference number and it would be sorted out without re-applying.
I called AG and Peter answered the phone and he said he had already spoke with his finance department and they said I can only order a new set in a new finance deal.
He wasn't didn't even want to go back to his finance department and discuss with them the option I was given by the finance company for the sake of one phone call!
He couldn't really give a s**t what had happend and that it was their fault it happend he wasn't even prepared to try and solve the problem!
The original clubs I tried to order are still showing in stock on their website so this is going to happen to some other poor sod but hopefully they take the time to read their poor reviews, which maybe I should have done before I even ordered from this company.

Horrible return policy.

I ordered a pair of golf shoes in Italy. It arrived but had the wrong size. When I asked for them, twice, to change it for the right size a person called Callum replied "We unfortunately cannot arrange a collection for an item outside of the UK. You would need to send this item back to us if you no longer want it."
Never using American Golf again. Their customer service and return policy are a joke.
