If I could give negative stars to this…
If I could give negative stars to this company i would. Purchases hot water heater from local distribution company. Paid to hv a plumber install, the unit was defective, called they said they would overnight coupling device and send out repair. The repair service website stated it was perm closed. But 4 days later they called, but low and behold the part never arrived (until 2 weeks later) so we purchased the part, company came out and replaced ir, but turns out it's tge valve. AS said they would overnight the valve, 5 days later no valve. I have been without hot water now for 2.5 weeks. Spoke to them today and they did not even have a tracking number, I hv asked to speak to a supervisor 5 times now, they ask for my number but nobody calls. I now hv to pay to have this un-installed, taken back to the store to bd exchanged, then hv it reinstalled, all on my dime. Today after giving no assistance at all I was told that the customer service rep was disconnecting my call because he'd been with me for 25 min and he needed to help other customers" O am a single mother, currently on a medical health leave from work, I have never health with a more incompetent, rude, disregarding company in my life.
Incredibly poor customer warranty service
Had a leaking cartridge theoretically covered under warranty, called it in 3 weeks ago and according to their invoice still hasnt been shipped yet. Incredibly poor customer service compared to Moen who is just the opposite.

I just bought a new toilet The toilet seems fine but the seat slides all over. You would thing that they would have a better seat or something that makes it stay tight
Forget any lifetime warranty bullshit
Forget any lifetime warranty bullshit. At best they give you a third party reference to purchase replacement parts. Bad experiences with both faucets and toilet.
Had a shower install one year ago and…
Had a shower install two years ago and was overpriced for the project. A lady name Rebecca came to consult us with the project. We had decided to do our guest bathroom but changed our minds and did the master bath. The master is smaller in size so we asked if there would be a price change for the size difference and she started to be rude as we were passed the cancelation deadline. We went on with the project. The first couple of installers did a horrible job. The whole project had to be redone. I called to speak with someone. I left messages and no one returned my call and wasn't even concerned with the reason I called. For that I give this company 0 stars. For a company that's been around over 100 years is very unprofessional and doesn't care about their customers or their service. Please choose another company who will value your time and money.

I am a vacation rental home business owner
I am a vacation rental home business owner, me, myself and I. I have nobody else that makes decisions on my purchases and nobody else that pays a dime for my business other than me. I live in a different state that my rental is in and planned a trip with my husband to my rental home so he can help with some things that need to be fixed or done. I scheduled an appt w American standard and they kept reiterating that my husband had to be there and I kept saying I am the buyer and decision maker not him. I finally said he will be there but we have the landscaper coming the same time the shower people are so when they called to confirm today for Thursday I told them he will be at the house but working with the landscaper to share what I told him I want done. American standard said that wasn’t allowed in their policy as my husband had to be there while they went over everything and explained it all in case of questions. I again explained this is MY business, I paid for the house and everything in it and my husband has nothing to do with my business. He doesn’t make any decisions so I will be there excited to get a new shower/tub system. Once again they said it wasn’t allowed and it’s their policy he has to be there listening. I am a grown adult woman with a business that is mine and mine alone! This is not a marital purchase and they said even if I traveled alone to my place of business, because I am married he needed to be there!!! So I cancelled them and they lost out on a lot of money! This is a horrible policy and there is NO reason my husband has to be there as he has NOTHING to do with my BUSINESS and purchases!! Terrible company and would not recommend!!!
I am a widowed senior citizen who…
I am a widowed senior citizen who contracted with American standard to replace my existing shower with a step up to a low threshold shower. I had hip replacement surgery and physical therapy would not clear me to use my shower because of the step. This was a necessary renovation. I paid american standard nearly $16,000 and had a nightmare of an experience with them. They use subcontractors, they damaged my hot water Line, Caused a leak of 5000 gallons of water coming out of my home onto my neighbors property, left me without hot water for five days and left me to find contractors to repair the damage they did. I had to hire a person to find the leak, and another person to repair the leak causing me to spend an additional $6000, American standard takes no responsibility for this even though it was caused by their subcontractors. The person who fixed my leak wrote on the report that it was damage to a hot waterline caused by The subcontractors. American standard gave me the runaround, made me send photos and paperwork and bills to two separate divisions of their company. After all that they declined any additional payment to me stating to look at the back of the contract on the small print. Then they totally stopped contacting me. This has been a horrific experience and I urge you to look at other companies instead of this one. They are totally unscrupulous.
The American Standard Vortex flush…
The American Standard Vortex flush toilet is a terrible product. We installed 3 brand new toilets and every one of them has leaked water endlessly even after multiple plumber visits. do NOT purchase this brand
Cheap junk and installer that don’t know squat
I kept expressing my dislike of the walls they were putting in. The manager kept telling us to “let them finish and see what you think.” So, we did. Now they are telling us “it’s been installed and you signed a contract.” You paying the $10,000. It is so ugly! They ran these cheap walls from ceiling to floor! 6” outside the tub! I have never seen such slop in my life. Today, two days after the install, the handle that turns on the water fell off!
INCONSIDERATE
DID NOT CONTACT US WHEN THEY DID NOT SHOW UP FOR APPOINTMENT. WASTED OUR MORNING
American Standard failed my family
American Standard failed my family. My 83 year old dad contracted with American Standard for a high-end walk-in tub. Once the ink was dry, American Standard did not communicate with my dad. Then my dad's licensed professional general contractor expressed concerns about the proposed installation. Dad called, emailed and sent letters to the local and regional people who kept referring dad back to the salesperson. Finally American Standard installed the tub and then a key component of the tub did not function. Again, my dad did not have a reliable number to call. The master bathroom was complete except for the tub.
Dad did not receive a call back for signficant lengths of time. Then, when he did get a call back. Dad was referred back to the same salesperson who couldn't help. Then, and only then, did dad lose faith in American Standard. He wrote a letter explaining that he contracted with another provider due to American Standard's inability to install the tub in a timely manner, defects in the tub and failure to communicate. Guess what? American Standard had a lawyer call my 83 year old dad and threaten him with a huge bill. Nice people. Do NOT do business with his company.

The representative misrepresented the product and I have text messages to support thus. I am considering seeing an attorney to file suite against her and American standard
Preying on the Elderly
My 81 year old mom had a salesperson from American Standard bathroom renovations come over and give her a quote. She gave him the deposit with the assurance that she had 3 days to change her mind. The next morning she had changed her mind. The paperwork said she had to send a telegram to a different company within 3 days. She cancelled the check, sent the cancellation notice via fax, since no one does telegrams. They used her routing and account number to take her $1000. They told her to get the best price, they needed a check right then. Now she’s having to change her checking account for fear they will just take more money.
"Champion 4" has a 1ft straight crack up its base.
My "Champion 4" model ST79-4149A-160 toilet base has spontaneously formed a perfectly straight crack from the grouted bottom edge extending upwards about a foot. It was place on a reinforced concrete base which has no fissures and has been minimally used (~200 flushes) the past 5yrs and never exceeded the 65-83 degF range. The location of this unit is within a curbed area with a drain, fortunately, as I expect the crack to continue up over the rim and into the bowl. This crack is on the more 'hidden' side of the unit and could have been there for a few months.
Titan toilet stains very easy and is not easy to clean
We purchased a new toilet to go in our newly remodeled bathroom. Within 1 week it had crazy stains I could not get out. I reached out and all they would do is blame my water for the issue. The toilet we replaced was a Kohler brand and was over 12 years old and it never stained like this new one, neither is our new sink or shower so I do not agree it was out water but customer service did not care.
Bad product, bad cust serv
1 toilet had crack in bowl out of the box, thought we could fix it then a few weeks later a large chunk broke off. Contacted them for replacement, which took them about 2 weeks to send, that toilet was even worse. Replacement toilet was in literal pieces, they shipped via FedEx and didn't bother to cushion it nor put "fragile" stickers on it. Contacted them again and was told a refund would be issued, that was on May 22nd and now they disappeared and not answering. Out $300, "lifetime warranty" indeed.
After 3 months the work is not done.
Work has not been completed on this Seattle area installation. American Standard doesn't seem to care. Customer service has not able to respond in any way like the claims that were made when we contracted for these projects. Work started 2/21 for $27K on two back to back showers in our 1440 sf single story house. After 8 days of intense, noisy and messy work and re-work, we still have punch list items never done. It is like they are out of business. The last two people who were to correct and complete our work now won't even either return my calls or answer their phone. I have spent hours calling, writing and sending them pictures.
HORRIBLE COMPANY AND SERVICE
I contracted to have two bathroom tub/showers renovated. lnstaller, Cory Burgess, has disappeared without finishing either bathroom and was the absolute worst contractor ever. The bathrooms are still not completed and this has been since August 2022. His and his 7=11 helper's installation was awful. In the shower he neglected to level the shower pan causing it to be about 3/4 of an inch lower on one side.
that had to be ripped out. the glue provided by American Standard was sub par and the acrylic walls had to be torn off and redone. American Standard, Alex, never sent replacement glue so Home Depot glue had to be used. I still have no moulding on the shower and because he never checked the drain on the shower pan I now have a 2X4 patch in my dining room ceiling where it leaked thru. I paid nearly $22,000 for both bathrooms and neither one is finished. The only decent product that American Standard provided was the tub and the safety bars. All the rest is cheap crap. When I attempted to complain....no one has bothered to call me back or address my issues. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY FOR ANYTHING TO DO WITH TUB/SHOWER RENOVATION.
Every phase of this process has been…easy and free of stress.
Every phase of this process has been good ones. The sells man was informative and friendly but no pressure. The home office staff was attentive and stayed in touch to insure the process was going well. The installer was knowledgeable and efficient. The shower looks great!
The only bump in the road is the temperature control valve is defective. The installer is still waiting for a part.
