The refund policy is completely untrue.
Don't use them!

I did not receive one contact and they do not respond to the refund request. - They also have a very small number of small investors who are most likely fishing for ideas.

Honestly. I hope I saved you the expense.

No way to contact any kind of support team. Tried the online "support form" after no response for a month, tried linkedin and even instagram with still no response.

Two of my best leads lost because the website was, and still is, having server errors and won't send my pitch deck through the chat function.

Additionally, most of the contact I have had from investors has been firms that solicit services to "improve your pitch" for a fee, before presenting to potential investors.

I would not recommend using this website if you are looking for investment in your business.

For any founder that would give a shot to AIN platform, I will suggest to read carefully the refund policy guidelines.
However, they make a point to honour the policy as long as the guidelines are followed.

Personally, I engaged a good amount of time building up the Pitch online for no genuine interest from investors even though our Pitch was featured (pro package).

Nonetheless, you may have more chances than we had and if you respect the refund policy guidelines, it is worth a try as it won't cost your business any money (only potential time).

Not really helpful. A money spinner for the owners. The cancellation policy is dodgy and deliberate. I think short-sighted too. That did it for me. They have their ‘standard spiel’ on how they have mentioned their cancellation clause in their T&Cs. Anyway, I won’t recommend.

The cancellation policy is quite punitive. Especially at a time when founders are busy looking around to get investments, the last thing on their agenda is to track when a renewal or repayments period will end.

I don’t think there is a non-auto renewal option on their platform so every user has to commit to ongoing deductions and hence keep tracking when the the next renewal date will kick in. They already have your bank details, so they automatically deduct the fee.

I’m not the only one complaining about this. A good number of their poor rating on trust pilot is due to this issue. I guess they probably don’t care as much for customer satisfaction, loyalty or repeat business. The moment, I saw the fees were deducted automatically, I cancelled my subscription right away. They get to have a paid customer slot that will not be used for the next 1 month but I’d rather take that chance than be automatically charged again, especially if I think I might not need the service subsequent months.

The team at AIN were helpful from the outset in communications prior to signing up, despite a few sign-up teething issues which were resolved. The online platform itself is good, lots of useful features and has helpful tips and explanations to help you whilst completing your profile. There are also a variety of upsells and packages, so you have (paid) opportunities to try different ways of getting noticed by investors. Sadly, whether it's our pitch/company, the economic wider economic situation in late 2022 or a lack of active investors on the platform, we got very little interest beyond brief looks at our documentation.. The team helped us relook at our profile and tried a few other tips and tricks, but there was no improvement in interest levels. We requested a refund which was managed well and honoured promptly. I see value in AIN from previous experiences with the platform as an angel investor, and whilst it didn't work for us this time as founder/start-up, that isn't to say it wouldn't work for you and your company. At the very least, it's worth a try and from my experience, the AIN team will be supportive.

Was contacted by a fraudulent scammer. Messaged via their internal messaging platform to cancel my subscription and was completely ignored. Truly awful company.

Angel Investment Network was true to its word. We attempted to connect with funding on their site, but after not getting the traction we were hoping for, they refunded our money.

In my experience, the only "angels" on this site are people trying to sell something to investors. Don't be fooled by the number of profiles, most seem to be inactive.

As you can see by the other reviews here, they don't like giving refunds unless you meet their exact requirements.

This has really left a bad taste in my mouth. I feel like I've been scammed.

Good website, with a huge pool of investors. Unfortunately our pitch was unsuccessful. The email correspondence was friendly and helpful when my first round was unsuccessful and they offered a free extension and extra nudges. After this, they did refund the price as per their policy, without question. Maybe you'll have more luck than us!

I can't recommend AIN enough! We raised 6 figures through them and they were by far the transformative factor for our fundraise. I'm not sure what we would have done without them. Highly Highly recommend them!

DO NOT EVER SHARE PAYMENT DETAILS WITH THIS COMPANY!

We created a pitch and chose the 'Global Pro' option for £249 per month. (Pro is £149 per month). This apparently shows the pitch to the whole Global Audience. We then added the £199 Featured Exposure which gets you '3 times more contacts'.

They promise a refund 'if you get no genuine interest'. There was no interest. 7 days before the end of the campaign, we contacted them asking them for the refund. They were very friendly and promptly replied offering to extend the campaign another month and they would personally update the pitch to make it more attractive. They also added 25 nudges to so we could message investors. We used the nudges and waited another 3-4 weeks. Nothing.

I emailed them as agreed 7 days before the second campaign ended. No reply. I emailed them 5 days before the campaign ended. No reply. Today I get an email from them! Great I must be getting my refund. WRONG. They have charged me another £249. I email them. No reply.

I genuinely question the ethics of how this business operates based on my experience.

I signed up for their second highest package, and to be exact, priced at $766 here it is
Global Pro, Featured Exposure, Immediate Release, Proof Read / Review. This package included "Proof Read" and they charge for it twice on the same day and then they offer to compensate it with something called the Nudge Pack 3 priced at $199.00, which I never used because there is no one real to nudge.

Out of the 300,000 investors that they claim to have in their network, one reaches out to sell my IT services and another one reaches out and instructs me to join a meeting about some BS subject related to nothing close to my business. Luckily I disabled my monthly subscription of $399 from renewing 10 days in, and when my subscription approached expiring, they try to lure me back in by telling me that 3 investors are now suddenly interested and if I want to connect with them, then I will have to renew my subscription.

It’s a scam. I PAID on November 02, 2021, for £2,499. It’s a lie. Some investors are probably a bot and automatically generated emails, and some are their own team; some are people who are desperate for jobs and looking for advice from other people to make money!

I purchased the most expensive package and what I got was only fake investors who come in many ways asking for some money in advance. They play with my feeling.
Here is your reply answer, because there was no option to reply. I never understand why you said we divert the clients in to our website. We are not suppose to introduce our website? do you think people came to my website and invest there and I make this up?!!!Do you think that if I have the result, I will post this review? Do you think this all one star rating on your idea and platform get the investment or they are making this up?!!

Even though this platform didn't work for my company, the Angel Network team was very helpful, quick with their service and kept their promises! It is definitely worth it!

Through the site I made contact with several interested investors and was able to acquire a suitable partner for our project.

This company promises a full refund if you don't get any genuine interest from investors while your pitch is being promoted. This is a good way to 'lessen the blow' for poor startups who are struggling to raise money and where £100+ is a large cost.

I subscribed to this deal and they were very helpful throughout the process. They even gave me a promotional discount which I had missed a deadline for.

The reason I give them 1 star is because I find their business model to be dishonest. Apparently the terms say that you must apply for said refund within 7 days of the subscription ending, otherwise you have missed your chance. I would be interested how many people set an alarm in their calendar to make sure they don't miss this window when the 90days subscription is over (assuming they read the terms in the first place). They also don't send any communicative emails at all. I suspect this is so that you forget when the subscription ends, and hence miss the window? Just my opinion of course.

I missed the window by a few weeks. I use the word 'dishonest' above because this is not how I think a business should be run; the refund is offered because you didn't get any interest - not because you're good at setting calendar alarms! If you're entitled to a refund you're entitled to a refund; why does there need to be such a small window in order to get one? What difference does it make if it was 30 days and not 7? To be denied a refund on a technicality like this is dishonest.

Many weeks of emails came to no resolution; they are obviously very content to hide behind this red-tape!

You've been warned, good luck to you if you try it out.

Full of bots and fake investors, wasted over £2,000 and found out the hard way.

Absolutely terrible. I used AIN for my startup after reading many positive reviews, but soon did I realise just how expensive and ineffective their service was! Not to mention they refused to issue a refund despite previously agreeing one, citing that I didn't message them again 5 days before my second free month subscription. Please avoid this company at all costs. I've had more luck contacting angels directly on LinkedIn for FREE!

If I could give AIN 0 stars I would without a doubt.

I do not normally leave reviews as I feel that it is a waste of my time however, AIN has scrounged almost £300 from me, a startup business owner who already needs money, and then refused to pay the refund. I have repeatedly requested refunds from this company but they are uncooperative and unhelpful. Do not spend your money unless you have the money to spend on lawyers as well.

AIN is scamming small businesses and I was a victim so that you don’t have to be.

I must say as an investor I have met a number of savvy business owners who really know what they are doing. I can only give this site 4 stars as they can always do something better. I don't know what but they are far and above most sites I have visited.
