I trust An Post

First things first: this is not a sponsored (or AI) review.

When I was based in D03, it was hit and miss. Several times I got an "attempted delivery" notification when I knew for a fact nobody had knocked (I was WFH full time). That was frustrating as I had to go to their office to collect my parcels.

However, I've been in Swords for over a year now and An Post here runs like clockwork. They are always on time, they've never failed me once, communication is always clear and I receive several parcels every month.

I should also note that I have never had a damaged or returned item in either location.

Are they perfect? No. But I trust them, and they are much better than many other delivery companies out there

I paid 40eu to send something…

I paid 40eu to send something internationally and of course they weren't able to deliver it bet they didn't even try as I know for a fact that address on the parcel was correct. Absolutely useless service every single time.

I posted a parcel on 28th of January…

I posted a parcel on 28th of January from edenderry to Dungarvan in Waterford.
It's sitting in portlaoise mailing center since 29th January.
It's now 18th February and it's still in portlaoise according to tracking
Full 3 weeks and my parcel has not moved or been delivered

I used to have a lots of issues with…

I used to have a lots of issues with deliveries not being delivered but after a few complaints the service has changed to much better. I recently got the packages delivered on time and to my doors in the apartment block which I am very appreciative for.

I’ve had nothing but problems with this…

*update: I have still had no contact from them despite them publicly replying to this review saying they would reach out*
I’ve had nothing but problems with this postal service this year. If there was a way to use something else to have my post delivered by a different service I would. The only positive is the lovely staff in the cork general post office. The actual delivery service and customer support is useless and practically non existent.they cut you off the support chat before you’re even finished asking for help. they don’t care or value you. And addrespal is a whole other issue. Good luck trying to get help for any issues. Ireland needs another better option for choosing who delivers your post.
I’ve sent several emails after being verbally abused by the post woman and her manager sticking up for her because they’re friends for 25 years and have had ongoing issues with them since and I am getting no response from an post at all. It’s a joke. I’ve had to resort to redirecting every single delivery to my local post office to avoid the hassle with the post woman who does nothing but cause problems with my deliveries. What am I paying a delivery fee for when you can’t deliver my parcels properly?

Terrible delivery service

An Post sent a text message saying it would be delivered the next business day, but three business days have passed excluding the weekend, which is five days in total, and it hasn't been delivered. Terrible delivery service.

Please sack all senior leadership and the waste of space who run this mess. I hope there is mass closures and the whole thing is privatized.
Consistently the only delivery company who don't call or bother to attempt a delivery.
The 1000s of reviews speak volumes at these cowboys.

Its backwards An Post are going, I have never experienced such bad service, a 3rd world country would do better ! 10 days a parcel is in sorting status ! I am Literally telling companies I order from if you use An Post for delivery i won't purchase from your company!

Terrible service for both delivery of…

Terrible service for both delivery of Nespresso Pods & also collection of Nespresso Pod Recycling. Nespresso deliveries take over a week to arrive. Despite Nespresso Pod Recycling being booked, the driver never takes them and it takes multiple bookings for them to be collected.

Absolutely unreliable service

It’s absolutely ridiculous,parcels are not being delivered on promised time,a week ago I received message that my parcels will be delivered on the next working day, I wasted a half of day to waiting for postman but there was no sign of him…no update about my parcels,and now in total there’s 7 parcels what should be delivered but they are not moving since last week…It’s absolutely frustrating,there was some orders what supposed to be an anniversary presents but unfortunately,they are still not delivered what really let me down and now I have no presents for such important event!Also from costumer service there’s no clear answer,when I should expect to get them delivered!!!
The same thing happened with my returns to retailers,they disappeared after sending them back through an Post 😡😡😡😡
