First, a little context for how bad this issue is. I live in a gated apartment complex with a concierge that has 6 individual builds called 'cores'. When we get deliveries, the drivers tend to leave them in the appropriate core on the ground floor near the elevator.
Across the road, there is another complex with a similar appearance and a very similar name so we all know that mistakes are bound to happen sometimes.
I get that, but our postman goes above and beyond to fail apparently. I got a buzz through on the intercom on Friday and I watch through the camera feed to see him ticking something on a clipboard before leaving the door without delivering anything. We've had this issue before where he goes around the six cores and dumps all the deliveries into one core rather than actually delivering them individually.
This is already a nuisance as my keys don't work for the other buildings. I had to call around our shared Whatsapp group to even get my delivery.
But this time, after he confirmed where I lived and rang the doorbell, he decided to muddle my parcel in with those going to the other building! I wouldn't have a problem with his delivery 'method' if it actually worked and didn't cause trouble, but it's so unbelievably lazy and means I have to take huge time out of my day to even find my parcel! Even more annoyingly, I couldn't message the Whatsapp group even if it WAS in another core because it was a gift for my girlfriend and she is also in the group! I ordered it specifically for a day she wouldn't be in the house but that plan was spoiled by this idiot of a mailman.
What is the point of being a delivery company if you can't do the one thing we're paying for?

I ordered a product from amazon and somehow I was informed An Post would be delivering. When out for delivery i stayed in to recieve my package but got a message to say delivery attempted while I was in and no attempt according to my doorbell camera. It took me nearly 45 mins to get through to customer service and was told they had an issue with finishing the run.Being dishonest about the status of one's order is not right.Customers have a life too.Never had an issue like this before with amazons own service.

If I’m being honest, this is one of the worst delivery service ever. They said my parcel is out for delivery, the post man came to drop it at a nearest collection point without alerting me or even saying it’s ready for collection what so ever, I had to go out and get it myself . Absolutely bad behaviour from the post man

Best Postman in the country.
Feel sorry for all those people having issues with AnPost it must be because we have the best Postman in the country delivering to us. Always goes above and beyond and is very polite.

A cretinous company. Unable to read postage labels and delivery items. Promise after promise of calls back and follow ups and its always radio silence.

An Post has honestly been the worst delivery experience for me. I live on Cabra Road in Dublin 7, and I have *never* successfully received a parcel at my door, even when I am at home.
Every time I order something online, I pay a €5–€6 delivery fee. Yet instead of actually delivering the parcel, the An Post delivery person leaves a letter and I have to travel 1–2 km to the depot to collect it myself??
What makes it more frustrating is that they have our phone numbers for delivery, but they never call. There’s also a doorbell, yet it’s never rung. I’ve even seen delivery drivers on my street walking up to doors with pre-filled “missed delivery” letters, not even attempting to carry the parcels or ring the bell.
And the most annoying part? After I go to the depot and collect the parcel myself, I get an email saying: “We have successfully delivered your item.”
It’s incredibly frustrating to pay for a delivery service that simply doesn’t attempt to deliver. I just wish the service was more reliable and that genuine delivery attempts were actually made.

Great service and great delivery in hell.
It so simple just give a call or a message to open the door or ask someone else to open it, but no, instead they just throw a latter and then you need go to the other end of the town to collect.

My parcel has been on dilevery 8 days now
And i wait in every one of them days because the told me its ut for dilevery
Then its taking back to sorting office because the post man can't seem to get to my address
Don't understand the parcel went back to sorting at half 12 today
It's really bad and annoying when it's not dilevered on the day it should be
Very disappointed 😞
Do the post men only work a half day

My local post office on Glasnevin Avenue is staffed and led by very professional and friendly people.

Fantastic company. They always deliver my packages promptly and to my door ( not left sitting out in the rain fifty meters away like some courier companies do).

Ordered a parcel and paid Express shipping fees on 03.02.26. Sender said it would be delivered in 1-2 working days. Package has still not been delivered as of today 02.03.26, despite numerous chats with customer service. Only today have i been told that it cannot be delivered due to an 'incorrect address' and will be returned to sender. How has it taken a whole month for them to figure that out? Customer service said they would email me with updates and I did not receive a single email from them, I had to chase them for a response.

I've had two packages that had the same issue I tried contacting them online for web chat with no response ever given to me ,and when I called them their customer service makes me wait and then says we are experiencing higher than normal calls please use our other services and then hangs up on me

This is my fourth day in a row booking a collection for Nespresso pods. Following completion of my order I get a booking reference to say that my collection is booked, however, my post man has not called to collect the bags despite delivering post.
