I received excellent roadside assistance. My engine broke down. I tracked the status online, received all the status updates online and by SMS, and a representative called me in advance to let me know they would arrive in 10 minutes. I also called the helpline to clarify a few things, and they gave me some really good advice.
On top of that, the repair was done well, and I only paid for the part itself. It was very quick and efficient.

On the 9th of April we got som problems with our Mercedes Vito, just outside Haag, ANWB sendt Dave Roos out to help us, he searced for a long time and tried to fix our van, unfortinaly one ot te sensors on the engine were broken, He hepled us to their garage, whos change the sensor for us an 12 o`clock the day after we where back on the road again, a very positive service from a proffesional company and staff, I will highly recomand this company.

I have been using the ANWB Wegenwacht Europa Plus plan for almost five years and have successfully used it several times both within the EU and outside of it. However, this time my experience was completely horrible.
I was in Belarus, which is included in this plan, when my car slid into a ditch during a heavy snowstorm. I called the Dutch ANWB number several times, but the line was either disconnected or I was redirected to non-working departments. Eventually, a specialist told me that I could only use my insurance company’s assistance and that ANWB road assistance does not help with this kind of situation.
I clearly explained several times that I was traveling with my family, including a child under 12 years old, that I could not get the car out of the ditch myself without professional help, and that I had already been waiting on the line for about 40 minutes. Despite this, they refused to help.
After the final redirection to my insurance company’s hotline, they also refused to assist, explaining that Belarus is under sanctions and the Green Card insurance does not work there.
As a result, I had to organize assistance myself and pay out of pocket. I found help within 20 minutes for 30 EUR, but only after wasting significantly more money on roaming calls and spending around 40 minutes repeatedly answering the same questions to different people.
A few years ago, when I was traveling with my electric car and a charging station did not work, another ANWB specialist successfully arranged a tow truck to move my car to the nearest working station. Therefore, I do not understand why this situation was handled so differently, why ANWB refused to help me, and why I was left in a ditch with my family and a child during severe cold and a heavy snowstorm.

We requested road assistance and was called and told that our case was created and will be handled. We waited 1.5 hours(as suggested as the normal waiting time in the road service app) with no updates, no cancellation notice, nothing. ANWB simply decided not to come and didn’t tell us. We had to call to find that out, and ANWB agent was very impolite, and said "I don't know what my colleague has told you!"
Zero transparency, zero responsibility. Absolutely unacceptable for a paid service.

My car won’t start at home because of the spark plugs.
I called them they respond immediately, sent me a mechanic he fixed my car in 10 mins.
From the Contact person to the Mechanic were amazing.
The mechanic was super friendly and talented.

I highly recommend ANWB Roadside Assistance, I was able to get great help from a professional, solution oriented,good explanations were given , well understood, the person was able to try out all possible solutions to fix the car but the car needed to be taken to the garage which service was offered with no extra cost and friendly.
I was able to be dropped back home with my 1 year daughter safely.
Most importantly the person was able to speak fluent English because I can’t speak Dutch well👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

My 1965 Austin Healey came to a standstill in Utrecht due to an obscure failure in the wiring. The wegenwacht mechanic arrived within an hour and expertly identified and repaired by the problem. This friendly, helpful service is very much appreciated!
